The talmud has immensely hateful parts towards non jews Atheist, but ethnic jewish people had an awful lot to do with one of the very most evil and cruel ideologies of all time : Bolshevik communsim Just saying there are very much two sides to this throughout much of history I dont like either side

      Same here re: revelations. It's a notion for which I've sought insight, and I have really enjoyed the video. This information seems to dove-tails well with Paul wallis' work. He has A 3- part YT series titled, "The Scarey truth about the Bible. And he has 2 books out, and a 3rd to soon be released. The title of the first is "Escaping from Eden." He seems to have a rather unique view.

    Set (/sɛt/; Egyptological: Sutekh - swtẖ ~ stẖ or Greek: Seth /sɛθ/) is a god of deserts, storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. In Ancient Greek, the god's name is given as Sēth (Σήθ). Set had a positive role where he accompanies Ra on his barque to repel Apep, the serpent of Chaos.

    Yes! More content like this please! I just found your channel a few weeks ago so just now seeing this video. I grew up in a mainstream denomination of this religion. Between the ages of 16 and 20, I sincerely tried to seek / follow God. I was a Christian religious fanatic. At 18, I had a dream that really puzzled me. I was at the church. I saw a friend of mine the same age. We weren't best buds at all and didn't really run so much in the same circles either but we were still friends. Then in the conversation, I remembered that he was really dead. Had died a year or so earlier in an accident on a farm. When I remembered, I said hey man, you're dead! He acknowledged and then I asked him what its like? (maybe i asked what's heaven like? or what's God like? I don't remember exactly). He responded saying something like "God is a bit strange".
    me: "what do you mean?"
    Him: "God is not right" (something like that. I think I wrote this down but I would need to find the notebook at my mom's house which is 1500 miles away from where I live)
    Anyways, I then had an intense overwhelming vision of this 'god'. He was huge, 25 maybe 50 feet tall. Dressed all in black, what seemed like a type of armor. It was sleek, very stylish actually. Lightning bolts were hitting around him. I could not see his face though. Had some kind of helmet, seemed transparent but I could not see his face. My feeling and impression was that he was evil but I had some serious cognitive dissonance and couldn't reconcile it. About 25 years later in my 40s, I was first exposed to gnostic ideas. There's something to this stuff. Its not all myth and make believe.

    Now, the YHWH story becomes more Anthropomorphic in my eyes.

    • @show-n5z

      But the western view of Hinduism (remember, it is not a religion) is very faulty and pro Abrahamic. Most of the hindus, 90%, + haven't read their scriptures. Only some rites and rituals are performed. But the core idea is in everyone like worship of nature, religious indifference,peaceful nature, adherence to Dharma, to name a few. Religion as you see in Abrahamic set up is not taught at home, or in temples or anywhere else. Actually it doesn't deal with the imaginary concept - GOD, rather it ( the Vedas & Upanishads) gives directions to seek, search whether there is one. It is upto the seeker to come to conclutions. Finally, the hindu scriptures are not directly descented down to us by god, rather they are the visions, views, (Darsans, we call it) of rishis( sages).
      Starting from these points, if anybody who have studied this culture with a hindu mind ( not an Abrahamic one) can dessect this culture Hinduism, praise or criticism, whateever it be, l welcome it.
      Its realm is different. 🙏🙏🙏

    • @scerdy3
      @scerdy3 2 роки тому +6

      @@show-n5z Many Hindu gurus came to the West and taught Westerners. I was one of them. I had a guru and joined his cult for several years. It didn't make me a Hindu, but many of my friends tried to become Hindus, with considerable success. We studied the Bhagavad Gita, the Ramayana, and the Yoga Sutras, and practiced Arti and many Hindu ceremonies and rituals. The Bhagavad Gita (and the Mahabharata) gives center stage to Krishna. Krishna is definitely God. As a fictional character, Krishna is more complex and likable than the insane Yahweh, but he shares the problems of all omnipotent, omniscient deities: he commits genocide, he threatens, kills, and tricks people, and he breaks all the rules that apply to the lower classes. He is also very fond of the ladies, and conversely (an improvement over Yahweh). During my Hindu period, I naturally thought that Hinduism was the best religion ever. It took me decades to see that all religions are the same bullsh*t. Now that I am aware of the disaster that is Hindu nationalism, I have gone 180°. Then I discovered Buddhist nationalism and my entire admiration of the mysterious East dissipated.

    Dr Litwa, the only differences in the Egyptian version of the Exodus as you described it are
    1) the Egyptians expelled the Hebrews.
    2) the Egyptian version recognizes these actions as evil.
    In the Hebrew version, Yahweh is also not a good god. He murders all the firstborn males of the Egyptians and causes plagues that would have killed almost all the Egyptians, who are the ones who pay for Yahweh’s evil, even though he raised up Egypt just for that purpose.
    Thanks for the informative interview. 👍

    Set (Egyptological: Sutekh - or Greek: Seth) is a god of storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sethianism). It's unclear whether there is any connection of any kind between the Egyptian "Set" and the Hebrew "Seth," brother of Cain & Abel, and the third son of Adam & Eve, or if this purely a coincidence.

    Having a all good but not all powerful God, definitely makes sense as to why there is worldly imperfection and human suffering ! Because the evil god power is there to spoil things ,but the evil power is all evil but not all powerful ,so the two forces of good and evil are in eternal conflict! The result is human suffering !

    Re the Jesus on a donkey theme I would note that it first appears in gMark, and Mark the evangelist is connected with Alexandria. He supposedly was bishop of the church of Alexandria. Of course we don't actually know who wrote the "gospel of Mark", so it might not have been this Mark at all.
    It's also interesting that according to the Egyptians the Semitic Hyksos people worshipped Seth.

    • @elliottprats1910
      @elliottprats1910 2 роки тому

      The Hyksos were Canaanites and worshipped their own gods, they adapted some Egyptian deities when taking over the delta from the Egyptians.

      @@elliottprats1910 yes, it was the Egyptian perception that they worshipped Seth, but that was probably their translation of the Canaanite god Baal.

    The Valentinian and Marcionite systems both posited existence of a "demiurge" (evil God). Clement of Alexandria (c.150 - c.215) reports that Valentinus (c.100 - c.180), a younger contemporary of Marcion (c. 85 - c. 160), was taught by Theudas, a disciple of Paul. The Kitos War (Jewish-Roman war in Cyrenaica/Aegyptus in 115-117) preceded Valentinianism.

    Yes! The spirit of God is riding inside of this stubborn animal who normally is just that, a stubborn animal refusing to acknowledge the non physical reality. When all the first born were killed, this was there exile. Enslaved in the flesh. So he takes control of his animal and rides it to be sacrificed ultimately freeing him from the physical. Because consciously he was freed and wasn't forced to reincarnate. Something like that.

    In the O.T., King Solomon rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jesus was following that type. So questions about the donkey representing Set would have to extend back to that time.

    There may be traces of Egyptian theology in Valentinism, including Horos, "a figure entirely peculiar to Valentinian Gnosticism is that of Horos... The name is perhaps an echo of the Egyptian Horus.[14][21] ...he becomes a kind of world-creative power, who in this capacity helps to construct an ordered world out of Sophia and her passions." I was always taught that Satan is the "god of this world" but Satan was never supposed to be a god so I think they say, "ruler of this world" as opposed to the creator or god, he is King of the World because Adam sinned and the world was given to Satan to do mischief in. As an atheist, I don't believe any of this nonsense anymore and figuring out what ancient people actually believed when they had a completely different system of thought and took drugs and fasted for visions and lied to each other is impossible.
    Summation: There were no gods, no spirits, no angels, not even "the force" involved in human history. There were men following the inclinations of men and pretending they had "god on their side" for obvious human reasons, the leaders often claimed to be gods and acted like it to enhance their power and used the rudimentary science they sponsored to do "miracles". History and fiction always include gods because it sells and because the gods were part of history just not a real part.

    Well there went an hour.
    Point of clarity... Set does not sport the head of a donkey. His head and his feet and his reddish color are from the aardvark, not the donkey. The aardvark is native to Africa and would have been found in the Upper Kingdom. Also, horses in Egyptian hieroglyphics are clearly identifiable as horses, yet Set doesn't look like this - other cultures unfamiliar with, or only vaguely familiar with, African animals thought that Set represented some mythological beast.

    Excellent show! Yes, definitely more with this very knowledgeable doctor!
    I should remind you, though, that even in the Bible there is no ONE “devil” or “satan.” There are various adversaries, including YHVH himself.
    Regarding the temptations of Christ, the god who was speaking obviously thought he owned the kingdoms of Israel, which was the “world” in view here. Who was that God? Based upon this video, was it YHVH? Just a thought.

    A painter adds something to a painting that he likes, but upon stepping back, it doesn't fit. So he works on it and tries to get it to fit, but it won't. Sadly wiping it out of the painting is an "unconscionable act?" Do you know how the prophets linked world events to the stars? Do you have any idea where we are now in the story? For centuries epic events have been depicted in the stars and described beforehand. You snooze, you lose. Edit: difference being: we CHOOSE not to fit
