In order for the photo to be real without a background, it doesn't matter if you save the background in png, but if you put the soldiers or the model in jpg the image will not be without a background, there will be a background that will cause problems, all photos on the internet that do not have a background are in png format.
In After Effects have options for depth of field and camera movement, search on YT for "parallax after effects" you will see more options on the tutorials
