I started watching these videos about two weeks ago because of the funny comments about how he's such a sellout. Now I bookmark them and rewatch them to get good ideas for easy meals. I've even bought those plastic stock pots, though we don't have Knorr in Australia.
I was a bit stuck up at first, but since I copied his recipe for peppercorn sauce, I think as well as being a fine dining chef, he's also a genius at how to make good things by cutting corners. Also Knorr cubes as sold in the UK and maybe other places, don't contain ingredients such as MSG.
What I like is Marco gave you options and alternatives, he didn't say that is what you should do or that it's the only way to do it. Not unlike Gordon with his "the most amazing (insert ingredient, soup, protein, stock, vegetable, etc)".

The stock pot is there when you don't have time to make your own stock. Tip: save time on this recipe. Instead of roasting a whole chicken, use chicken thighs. De-bone them and use your bones and off-cuts to make a stock, and the meat for the dish. It's your choice. Note: I don't discredit an amazing chef, only his motives with these Knorr abominations.

15 minutes? Blanching vegetables?. That sounds like fun. If I rearranged this recipe, I'd make the roux, add a Stock pot, cream, a little water and Thyme. Add the carrots. Cook for two minutes uncovered, then add the Chicken and Asparagus. Cook until Asparagus is tender.

That's not a fair comparison. Gordon's shows lean heavily into "entertainment" while Marcos content is more informative
