The fan tip on the RC-1 is working SO good for me. Home run on that one.
I'm curious what psi you're running with the hopper on the RC-1. My only issue with the RC-1 so far is i have to turn my air up to ~30psi to get a good cloud and I'm going through A LOT more powder than I did with the Eastwood DV. But I'm getting great end results so maybe the extra powder use is worth it in the end.
I’m running 30-40 psi with the hopper.
For me, the hopper and a fan tip seems to be more efficient than the cup for most parts. But sometimes getting great results is worth the possible extra couple bucks in powder on a job. Sure does beat redoing them lol but when a system throws more powder it can tend to have some extra waste than you might be used to with your dv.

@benjaminmeyer8555 how did you get it to stop blowing out so much powder? I have the same issue. I'm using the cup.
How long do you let the first layer burn (half the time from burning time? )
You’ll want to leave it in the oven a few minutes past flow out
How much powder do you load in your hopper? I noticed if I go slightly above half the capacity, I get inconsistencies and surging
I usually go up to about 3/4 full. But mainly depends on what I am spraying and how much I will need for the job.
Also shipping to Europe? Looking for a new corona system instead of my tribo gun.

Seems to spray awesome!! What kV:s did you use to spray the first & second coat? And can this system accept 240V power since I live in Europe?
I sprayed the first coat at around 40kv and second coat around 25kv. The system will accept 100-240v so you will be fine 👍🏼

@@Daniel-jx5rn each number represents increments of 10kv: 1-10kv, 2-20kv, 3-30kv, and so on.

How would u do it without a sandblaster?
I wouldn’t recommend powder coating without sand blasting. If you are doing stuff for yourself just sand it clean but I wouldn’t offer it as a paid service like that.
