Got out today for a nice ride this morning in the DFXL. Finally back at it!

I personally prefer the sleek minimalistic look of the "original" Zefals on my DF. My arms are also getting to short to read everything. You can buy adhesive reading glasses that stick on your sunshades or buy sun shades that have them incorporated. I would try this before to much tinkering on the DF. Works fine for me.
The problem is I don't want to have to try and adjust my glasses or visor every time I need to look in the mirrors. I've purchased some new B&M mirrors, and will be installing them soon with 3D printed cones. I do understand the sleek 'look', but I need function over form in this case.
Velomobiles are just amazing. You say you’re no speed demon, yet you’re keeping a great pace. Wish I had one.

Will do, message sent. I like the look as well, but with my aging eyes, they don't work as well for me. They are very well done, and great craftsmanship.
I'm curious if you ever have trouble with squirrels?
Not sure what you mean. Are you referring to them getting into the velomobile during storage? If so, then, no I've never had that issue. I did have a mouse who wanted to live in it once, but I remedied that situation very quickly. I also stored the bird food which attracted it, in another area.
If you mean while out riding. Squirrels have given me some issues. The problem with squirrels they are so low to the ground they can only see a few feet in front of them. This is why they stand to see. Even then they cannot see but 10 yards or so. But they do feel the vibration of auto's coming. The problem, they have no idea from what direction all this info is coming. For squirrels I start honking the horn or lay on the horn until they run. Too many times I have had them stand still until I am right or almost next to them only to have them run to one side of the road then dart right back at me. They are confused. The horn solves this problem. Now deer are another story. After almost being hit be three, I installed a stereo and play it at close to full volume. It's nice to see the deer look up and run away when I am still 50 yards or so away.
@@tonysweet9137 I don't seem to have any issues with wildlife as far as I know. I've not had any encounters with deer, squirrels, or anything other than a couple of curious dogs when I had my first Quest. ua-cam.com/video/d6ZoxbZuRG4/v-deo.html
