    The raw honesty of use in real life earned my likes and subscription.

    Enjoying your videos on the Pandaplacer. I have a DIY Lumen and have never really got it working properly - what made you go for the Pandaplacer?

      The PandaPlacer was rigid and the design decisions made much more sense to me. Lighting, nozzles, many things.

    Are those Z-motors NEMA8 or NEMA11 sir?

      You're referring to the A&B rotate motors? They're NEMA 11, single stack.

    I've had a pick'n'place machine for some 3/4ers of a year.. been trying to configure open pnp several times now. in the beginning everything looked promising, but the further I got into setting up, and calibration, the more it would fail. i.e. center point of nozzle, missing hole registrations in the component reel etc... so I would love to see you making vids from start to finish.. (I have a feeling that many errors are due to low or missing ambient light, but I'm not sure)

      Any specifics you'd like to see in more detail?

      @@nickydoes Basically everything from after unboxing and powered on the first time to we're done placing all the components, now it's time for putting the pcb in the oven. The whole setup/configuration process.. even though I know it quite well (after many attempts), it would be nice to see someone else doing the setup/configuration, not an edited version where failures etc are removed, but everything included (something like: oh it shouldn't do this, now lets fix that..) Consider what you know now, compared to when you knew nothing of pick'n'place machine, and was going to buy one (this ought to be material for many interesting episodes).

      Check the videos in this playlist. I'm balancing shooting videos with being productive, so I'll focus on something if you have a specific question. Thanks for your comments!

    By chance do you have the 3d model you used for the dual height calibration?

      Hello. Yes, I will also put it in the video comments. Good catch! Give me a few minutes to get it on Printables, etc.

    Hello, have you ran any jobs or placed anything on to a pcb yet?

    • @nickydoes
      @nickydoes  7 місяців тому

      The job I'm setting up has many 0402 - still placing on dbl sided tape. I have placed 0603 and larger.

      I was looking at the lumen but it's a little big for my area and then the feeders at the front wouldn't of been ideal for me, this is slightly smaller but feeders at the sides and still decent size PCB size so I'm interested in seeing more about they pandaplacer

      What would you like to see? Check the other videos in this playlist. I'm trying to show real world setup of the PandaPlacer A1.

      The machine been used for an actual job by a customer not just pandaplacer own video to promote that may of taken 50 attempts, on paper and price seems great but is it like the early days of 3d printing and it's more time tinkering/fixing and modification than actually using it

      That was my mother's dog, who had COPD - that's the cough. We took the little dog in a few weeks before I shot this video. She showed a bright spark of enthusiasm and happiness, playing with our dog and cats. Unfortunately, the dog died in the middle of the night, not long after I recorded this video. I believe she had a great last few weeks, and we miss her.
