I got mine a few days ago in Belgium. Light did not work. Opened switch. Corrosion outside and inside it. Removed switch, soldered wires and added external 3 volt source with wireless remote control. Works perfectly. I use to do that with all my statues.

@@hauntofthecollector I guess we had the same issue and that we won't be the only ones. Humidity inside switch ? I use AWG36 wires to by-pass these useless switches and batteries, so I can keep all the lights "on" whenever and as long as I want.

@@hauntofthecollector I just feel that a 10/10 piece for me would be something that I would not want to touch up. The only thing I would want to touch up on this is the paintjob. Don't get me wrong, it's a good paintjob, but since it's a human character I would want it to have a more hyper realistic paintjob. That's the main reasons why I mainly focus my collection on creatures, and not so much on human characters.

Man those faces look so good. Can’t wait to receive this piece. I do wish the edges of the webbing looked a bit more natural. They’ve made them a bit thick on the production pieces compared to the prototype. But all in all, still a bloody amazing statue! Thanks again for the review.

Gorgeous piece. Very nice review Jase. I will say though, the lighting did not show off this piece as well as your normal set up would have. Much better lighting in the unboxing video. This piece is the only Prime 1 piece I have ordered. Unfortunately, it won't be delivered till the end of January.

Finally caved. Got it with Santa shipping, 20% off and with $135 reward points. Now the wait for economy shipping (lazy Santas taking a boattrip apparently…).
This, Sauron, and the Berserker, are a level above Prime 1's other 1/4 scale statues. They really nailed the likenesses on these, and it makes a huge difference to how good a statue is. There's no other Frodo sculpt anywhere that comes close to this, and that Gollum puts Weta's weird looking Masterpiece Gollum to shame.
Hey matey!! You’ve really nailed it there! The Gollum on this looks like the Gollum from the films, his expression looks alive, sinister and cunning! The skin looks alive! Every other Gollum piece I’ve seen doesn’t have anywhere close to the life this one has! And as you say, best Frodo likeness out there! This piece is just bang on in all round quality to the promo piece - and how rare is that?! Cheers matey 👍🏻
You should consider a softbox for unboxings or reviews, because its very dark, it looks like frodos hair is missing colour. And you can see more of the details with better lighting. Great statue...
I have got lighting set up mate, but in the evenings is almost becomes too strong? And just fades the picture quality? I just have to keep playing with it maybe? But the box is a superb idea, for smaller pieces anyway matey - cheers buddy 👍🏻

Hi friend! Great statue and great review! You have received a lot of statues this year - and quite some expensive ones. I must imagine the import charges in total for all received pieces to be insanely high? I am geniunely curious to know what the total has landed at (Of course you don't have to tell). I received three statues this year, and the most expensive one I got was Godzilla 1:1 human life-size bust by P1. The import charge cost for that alone was $600+ in my country. It's absolutely a dreadful price to pay. I cannot keep up collecting as frequent any more. The next piece I have on pre-order is the Ultimate Diorama Masterline Godzilla final battle piece (Godzilla only) by Prime 1. That statue with shipping is even far more expensive than the bust, so I think this piece will be $800+ in regards of import charges.

Hey matey… very difficult choice, as keeping only one piece doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the ‘best’ piece, more the piece that impacts the most? Frodo and Gollum is the highest I’ve scored a piece, but Escape off the Road is vastly the most artistic and skilled piece, the 1:1 Nazgûl is the most striking piece, due to its size! So, that’s really difficult… it would probably be Escape off the Road or the Nazgûl, but honestly, I just can’t answer that question as I just adore all 3 pieces matey… 👍🏻
