F1 Maximum Power Map - Gasly Nurburgring Qualifying

Gasly Onboard Telemetry from 2020 Q1.
Nurburgring has a lot less straights than Bahrain and 2 more (real) corners, so, the full boost was able to engage for over 15 seconds, over twice of that in Bahrain.
In this Nurburgring lap, about 51 seconds was spent in full throttle, so the Full ERS Boost takes 30% of the Full Throttle time. In Gasly's Bahrain lap, it's 7s vs 57s which is only 12%.
In Gasly's Bahrain onboard, you can see the battery percentage number next to the battery bar, and the ERS consuming rate in full boost is about 9% in 2 seconds. You can still roughly see the battery bar in Nurburgring, but not the percentage. Assuming the Full Boost ERS consuming rate being the same in different tracks, about 65% of battery was spent in full boost in Nurburgring.

@@ishierrogamer7798 I agree, there were a lot of really exciting races in 2020 (Austria, Monza, Mugello, Turkey, Sakhir). Yeah Lewis did wipe the floor against Bottas that season, but that’s not Lewis’s/Mercedes fault for being that far ahead. But the season as a whole did have some really awesome moments for sure!

For quali, I believe it's all automatic as ERS "overtake" mode is built-into the ERS usage mapping. So for quali, the relevant engine mode will deploy/harvest a pre-programmed amount of battery to maximise all available power. Driver just has to concentrate on getting a great quali lap, the engine mode software will handle the ERS deployment including the full power or "overtake" mode. In races, it's different, the driver can control "overtake" mode but still with a pre-programmed ERS deployment in the background.

ERS maps are preprogrammed but the driver can use the overtake button to force full deployment until he comes off full throttle. ERS maps use GPS tracking to tell the car where it's allowed to deploy

@@3xoticG4m3r no that lec and ver one was 2019 this is 2020, and imo 2020 was a good year excluding merc domination, i had a lot of free time to 'waste' xD and new tracks and returning tracks were exciting and that was the season when i started to watch wtcr and fell in love with it after watching motorsport for 6 yrs :)
