Last time I did a Spartan race was when I was in third grade doing the kids race. One of my friends asked if I wanted to do a super and I was like sure. I’m going to this exact spot tomorrow to run it. I’m really excited
Something with lugs on the bottom is definitely preferred. Any shoe labeled as a trail shoe is going to be better than a flat road shoe. The wetter/muddier the course, the more you want aggressive/bigger lugs. Another good thing to look for is a shoe that is light and let's water drain out of the shoe easily.
This particular one was the super which is a 10K. The Sprint is a 5K and the beast is a half marathon. And the ultra is a 50K. Which one are you doing?
Doing the 5K this July. My first ever Spartan race, training for it now with high endurance training.
Heck yeah! Work on those climbing legs too!
@@TheOCRReport definitely!!! Thanks brother 💪🏿
Nice man, same for me haha. I’m doing the 10k

How did it go!?
Are there any particular shoes that you need for this race or normal running shoes would do?

Question what race is this? 5k? 10k? Cuz I’m going to do one in poconos next year

@@TheOCRReportthinking bout going 5k for my first one
@whoami1057 good luck! Be ready for those hills!
This is a marathon with upper body exercises thrown in.
Spartan Races are no joke!
@@TheOCRReport I want see something with more lower body exercises not repetitive running. 🏃
Check out DEKA and Hyrox. Those might be more your speed.
Please quit the music. The raw audio is way better. Hearing all the participants and the obstacle noises is so much more entertaining.
Thanks for the feedback. We'll take it into consideration.
