You two inspired me to buy a Disco 4 with 170000 miles with no service history with a knocking noise low down in engine. What could possibly go wrong 😅
OMG 😅🙋♀️
Everything
Becoming broke never looked that good though!
😂
Gives EVERONE else who owns discovery 4 peace of mind 😂😂
Another one saved and great job completed. Christian must be the only person desperately searching marketplaces for another broken Landrover to keep him busy
He will likely find many.😃
Ohhhh A coffee and LR Time, what a perfect way to start a Sunday 😊
Thanks guys for another humorous and informative Sunday morning tonic takes my mind off stupid politics! 😅
Vera is a brilliant project manager around a workshop job, l love your show, thanks guys.
Christian is a real automobile expert, I real appreciate his skills when it comes to mechanical issues in cars.
Well done Vera & Christian, another brilliant job done.
Aaah..Land Rover, built in Britain, perfected in Germany...
You 2 are an inspiration to all Landy owners
I wish you many hours of intersting landscape driving tours.
Congratulations for your great work!!!
Many Many hours precision labour that is a joy to watch and listen to. LR TIME== Love Laughter/Romance .The spanner work is not bad ether 🥰😃 HOPE for many more videos
My wife and I have watched 5 episodes, and we are in admiration of Christian's skill, and Vera's help and patience love the German wit
😅🙏👍🙋♀️
Please keep making this content we in the Uk love how informative and brilliantly you make this content you know more about these cars than landrover it seems. most of tbe dealers plug in an obd reader and when tbey cant find a problem, they tell you the cars ok. They dont seem to understand this is part of the process of locating a fault and when there is a fault, they only want to replace part after part, hoping they'll find the solution. Presenting a bill of £10000000000000.00 😂😂 your content found my issue and helped resolve it thank you so much.
LR4 for all its faults, I would vote it as the best all round vehicle ever built to date (dynamically) it ticks all the boxes! 👌🏻😎
We absolutely agree😅👍🙋♀️
As do I here in Australia. 2010 2.7 tdv6 320k’s. Two compressors but nothing else. Regular servicing on time since new except for change to 5w 40 Magnatec every 5000km courtesy these 2 wonderfully comedic German People!
@@jamesrebbechi5247that & no frequent DPF regens that thin the oil.
There we go again... Christian at his best when he goes on an unhinged tirade... "If you think your Government is Stupid ours is One more Stupidier than Yours".... I still think there is a lot of Competition out there 😂😂😂
Yous are an inspiration to us all and always fun videos ❤it 😂 Yous Convinced Me After over 46 hot hatches I bought my first landy a 2012 lr4 hse sdv6 with 186,000 miles on it traded in my golf r32 ps asterix obelix I was brought up on their story’s 😜 ❤
The new disco 4 looks and sounds really nice, hope my 3 sitting on the drive don't get jealous , another job well done, great videos to watch, thanks again
Splendid, top Sunday morning entertainment, thanks again to you both.
Great Result I NEVER Doubted you VERA AND CHRISTIAN.
You make it look so simple, I guess it's easy when you know discovery 4 inside out 😂
This video is making me really miss my black Discovery 4. :(
JLR added quite a few extras to the facelift that I dont have with my 2013 HSE. Love the content.
Gut gemacht. Schönen Sonntag 🎉❤
Congrats on the rebuild! What a gorgeous car. Vera is right, how can you not get excited when you see another LR - you know here in the states it is customary for new Defender drivers to wave to other Defender drivers on the road. Love that. Oh and I think our Govt. has your's beat for stupidity, hands down!
You two are my new favorite thing to watch. Thanks very much
Many congratulations on the great job you've both done.
Have a great Sunday and a better week ahead to you both.
Hi Vera and Christian,
Congratulations on the excellent repair of this beautiful car, in my opinion many services can learn from you the accuracy and comprehensive approach to the issue. As always, it's great to watch you, all the best for you a both.
Great channel. So much useful information/knowledge and love the chat between you two.
Another great video of returning a Disco 4 to tip top condition from a destroyed condition. Enjoy my Sunday mornings watching in awe at the different projects succesfully completed.
It's such a joy watching you working on the engine.
You guys amaze me. I just started my own channel for owners of Bentley Continental GTs based on my limited experience fixing my own car and it takes me hours to create a simple five-minute video. I can only imagine what goes into making yours so good but certainly the chemistry you create together is so entertaining. Thank you for being such an inspiration ♥♥🥰
🙏🙏At least 10 to 15 hours of editing go into every single video, plus 2 hours for the thumbnail often. 👍👌🙋♀️
@@Vera_and_Christian It certainly shows guys, thank you for making such entertaining videos. I think I need a Vera! :)
Christian n' Vera, like Sarah n' Tuned, such fun to watch, and I love the precision and cleanliness of the work done on your cars 🙏👍
LR TIME produces my FAVOURITE content on the entire internet!!!
I usually watch this in bed in Scotland with a cup of tea. However, today I watched you guys at the side of the Seine in the Rouen valley. What a joy to watch this in the glorious sunshine 😎loved the video as always and especially the humour and the reference to the Asterix and the place that sends you mad😂. Well done on getting a clean TuV just a few bits left and you can sell the Queen 😮
What a great video series again, from a perforated engine block to a super nice running Disco 4! Super well done! Vera & Christian - thanks a lot for letting us participate.
The best way to spend a Sunday❤
Look forward to seeing these videos every week but it makes me lomng for the days of my Discovery 4
I really enjoy your videos! I'm so impressed by your practical and hugely capable approach to problem solving. And I have to say, Vera is an absolute delight! Together you are an exceptional team. And you Sir, are a very lucky man!! As I'm sure you know. Keep up the great work together!
🤗🙏🙋♀️
I often wonder if LR mechanics follow you and think yes that's the problem and then fix the customers car I would not put it past them and you have made a very good job on that car you and Vera should be proud of your self's thanks for the very good video
They probably think: darn, they found and fixed it. Let’s hide that new issue better…. Christian
Beautiful! A perfect symphony of parts conducted and played out by the LR super couple yet again, congratulations.
I was blown away when you mentioned that auto start stop is good because bicyclists and pedestrians will smell less of the exhaust in the city. German people are way more considerate than us Americans. I only thought of it as saving gas/money.
You make it look so easy, Christian! And Vera as a great cheerleader...what a team! Now if only my LR3 project would cooperate........😅
Great to see your hard work, extensive skills and enthusiasm paying off in what became a very risky and expensive repair, while at the same time providing some fascinating content (even for those of us who have never even sat in a Land Rover). Fortune favours the brave! Congratulations and very well done!
This car looks running so nice, unbelievable job. Hope this new Disco brings lots of good moments to you!
I'm looking now to approve my C3 in DETRAN inspection before a full engine rebuild and clutch replacement done by myself in my garage with a few and simple tools. It's a similar buricratic inspection TUV needed for burried cars, before a several fail. It's funny recognize some closing solutions in this TU3JP engine to the Lion 2.7 and 3.0 engine, like the oil filter and case (in this car it's was placed near by the oil pump), the tensioner of the accessories belt, pins on the head pulley for the timing, some impossible tools access to put and remove bolt... Almost a Land Rover (but not).
That 2-post lift is worth its weight in gold! Certainly LR's expectation for 'serious maintenance' is that the body can, and will, be separated from the chassis.
I enjoy your videos; thank you. I am on my 4th Land Rover at the moment. Started with an old Defender 110 from 1958. Then a P38 2.5 DSE, then a Sport 2.7TDI HSE and now a later Sport 3.0 STD Autobiography. I try and do what servicing and repairs I can, but wish I had better facilities; I'm envious of your hydraulic lift! Thank you for your inspiration - regard from England.
Stunning stuff you guys!
Very very well executed too,
& looking forward to the "final touches"......... 👌
U guys did it again. Always putting a smile on my face on Sunday evening getting me geared up towards Monday morning. 👏👍
Watching your rebuilds makes me thankful for my German swapped OneTen, the ONLY electronic device on my vehicle is the glow plug relay.
Lol. That must be a reliable vehicle 👍
@@Vera_and_Christian it takes a beating and smiles back!
Great job you two. Yes I enjoyed this series, thank you. Dave Greg
Hi guys
Congratulations on getting your Land Rover up and running again , it will now be living its best life with you looking after it , I have had my Toyota hilux for 1.5 years and not yet put washer fluid in it yet , maybe the Toyota dealer added it when it went in for service , but living in Thailand my windscreen doesn’t really get that dirty and washing the car weekly keeps it really clean , love watching your videos and your banter between you ,
Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
Purrs like a kitten. Good job and very entertaining. I think maybe I have spent more time watching you repair land rovers than I have have maintaining mine!
😅👍🙋♀️
so nice to see vera's car back on track, but this was a good way to teach what we call DIY for her!! have good miles with both !! wife an d LR IV
😅it‘s Christians Disco, I love my Disco 3 and would not trade him for a Disco 4. only did that last year so I had a car while my Disco was being restored.👌🙋♀️
Job well done. Vera, stop panicking, You got your Land Rover all good to go. Thanks to Christian. Love your Videos.
That is not my Disco, will only be driven by Christian.👌👍🙋♀️
The 7 P's. Prior Preperation and Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performances! Well done guys ❤
Absolutely love Land Rovers. Have owned one Discovery and 6 Range Rovers. The LR4 (&3) are beautiful and timeless! We don't get Diesels in California. 😞
Enjoyed it immensely. Carry on the good sense of humour and excellent work.
You guys are the best.
Appreciate your videos. The escape from my reality for a bit and can get a smile .
Thanks guys.
Vera is a very precious diamond and Christian is the new Land Rover Messiah.👈
Brilliant well done, looking forward to Sunday.
Another fabulous video, it has been an interesting series. On to the next one 😂
Good afternoon.what a fantastic rebuild.to hear that engine start up and just hummmm.what a beautiful sound.this is the perfect rebuild to date.congradulations you should be very proud😊😊😊
Great job as usual 👍👍👍. So glad to see your new Disco on the road again.
Fabulous 👏👏👏 great to see this discovery 4 back on the road 👍☘️
Crazy the engine sounds louder than the F150 and my Range Rover Sport. Glad to see it everything came together well.
With all the sand that was in that car you should call the car Alexander, in Scotland Sandy is short for Alexander.
Fine job... again...!! 👍
My concern with the D4 is the DPF location being far away from the turbo. This may limit how effective passive regenerations are and regular active ones are the enemy of your engine oil. I would look on the Queen and try to find the DPF there, and if it's where it should be, in the engine bay close to turbo exhausts, then I would keep the Queen unless you need something that is EU6 compliant.
For your next project, try buying a Discovery Sport with a 2.0L Ingenium diesel with a rattling timing chain... A tear down and rebuild of that would be very interesting on wear etc.. Compression test the engine first though... if compression is bad the engine may not be repairable...
Excellent, congrats. Cheers.
Congratulations to you both❤ best team since Fred and Wilma!!!! Hope you have great fun in the most comfy 4x4 by far 👌
Owning 1 LR where I live would, make me a millionare, and you own 3?????? Exellent content, congrats on job well done!
Elect Jeremy Corbyn, then you'll have 10 LR's.
Great work you two! Sounds really smooth too 👍. btw, I also have a resident spider living somewhere in my D4, I think it came from Solihull 😉. Looking forward to next week.
😅👍🙋♀️
The sun is shining in the UK I'm watching this, you got to get your priority's right.
Great video guys. Well done. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent rebuild, thank you 🙏 the best of channels👍
a brilliant job well done
Well done you two great team work a job very very well done once again thank you
I love a story with a happy ending!
Great series here guys, thank you as ever.
I had a 2015 top of the range Disco 4 and a year ago ...sold it to a neighbour ....I can see it parked in his driveway....I now have an Audi Q5..........wish they still made the Disco 4 ....best one made yet....latest ones are not .........I do regret selling mine..........He enjoys waving at me when he goes pass.........
Great video!
If ever you wanted a choice of Land Rovers ... there is a field in Wales somewhere and there are hundreds to choose from...it's on you tube!
Cheers
A really interesting video - thanks - I really enjoyed it 👍😘 I did swap out my licence plate lights for the sealed LED ones as they are more reliable - I also swapped out the rear fog and reversing lights for LED the reversing ones are much brighter and are like little headlights when reversing so you can clearly see what's there. A couple of days ago I swapped out the indicator lights on the wing mirrors for the LED sweep ones - much nicer and more visible in daylight - all bought frpm Simon at PowerfulUK of course. 👍
Congratulations guys. Well done!
Steve in Ukraine, i was inspired to deal with the squealing parking brakes. When i borrowed a socket set & the 12 point socket, 90 year old torque wrench (yep 90 years old) and set about getting it done. i watched your LR 3 video for Veras EPB repair. Unfortunately, i wasnt able to carry out any repairs, the cable has corroded and stuck, split and the end is torn off. so the solution was to pull the brake pads & springs etc. and chuck them away. full repair, if the vehicle survies in Ukraine, will come later. this car a 2009 Disco 4 TDV6 goes like a dream and even after suffering Ukraine! so it will one day get some tlc...
The cables are replaceable aftermarket but painful to get out. Not expensive. I Hope there will be peace soon. Christian
Thank you for the Sunday upload!
nice fix guys
Vera making those shorts and jeans look 👀 good
😅🤗🙋♀️
Christian
Just had a problem with a neighbours disco 4 tail gate actuator it turns out that the acctator is from a Ford fiesta mk 4 perhaps you could in form your followers as it might be a cheaper fix than buying the parts from land rover its self main dealer cost a lot more....
Definitely a oh my god Vera moment when he could not open the top half of the tail gate😊😊😊😊
Love the channel keep the content going it's great.
👍👌
I love these two ,
I used lanoguard ,,for my RR sport tdv8 and it is getting two new lower front wishbones 120000 miles,,love landrovers 30 year's,,off owning various models,,all poor mans 😁😁😁☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Well done to the both of you another excellent job ….
Fantastic LR TIME! What a great day out mountain biking 🚵♀️
You guys are the best i love your videos
I’d like to see more of your firewood store please
Vera, give your mountain bike brake discs a rub with isopropyl alcohol. That pretty much always cures the squealing. 👍
Congratulations. Very well done 👍
So enjoy these video's ..... and I still don't own a Land Rover.😃
All Desktop mechanics have to wait for the next Disco buy...Will they buy a Toyota?...What a debacle!!! Great job guys!
It was great to see you both get the LR4 back on the road , Vera will you have the LR4 and get rid of the 3 and Christian can keep the Queen? .
Ralph in the UK
No😅our Disco 3 will never be sold.👍🙋♀️
Christian
Christian

I like it, 'Wish, Wash Fluid' ☺
You have made a lovely car our of basically a scrap item, wow.
