    Kundalini Rising from Jeff McBride is just as good. It's the same effect. Advantage with Kundalini rising is rising is you begin and end clean. I've never had my stretchy thing break unless it's too old. Card can even be signed as a regular deck is used. And it won't cost anywhere close to $100 bucks.

      Agreed with you. Simplicity is best. This has too much gimmick and thought process. Old rising card is better.

    Glad I got the tutorial first and started watching it immediately.
    Needs practicing for sure.
    Excellent, thorough review David 👍👍

    Great review David!
    I have been waiting for this to come back out for years, and mine arrived two days after it went up on Vanishing Inc. My tuck case had some defects, or I may have damaged it somehow. I just made a new one out of Red Rider Back tuck case flat stock (I got from Penguin Magic years ago), and it works perfectly-and, in my opinion, looks better.
    As hard as this looks, I have already mastered the card selection, but I will not be performing this until I have a few months of practice under my belt. I am still practicing Little Holes, which I purchased directly from Trick Trick Boom when it was released.
    I agree this is top-shelf, miracle-level magic, and any magician who purchases this needs to keep that in mind. Either be ready to perform a miracle, or don't perform it at all.

    I like how you stressed that this is a PRECISION item. That cannot be overstated. One must practice this to be precise…and to be precise while looking natural doing so. But once they get that down, it’s quite impressive.

    Incredible effect. I totally confused on how the free choice works,i cant put my finger on it. Examination,angles and sole purpose restrictions are a concern. Cheers David

    You mentioned talking people out of selecting the front or back card of the pack; can you make those cards rise? Does it look as good as a card from the middle of the pack? I would guess you probably don't want them named but I'm not sure how bad it is if they are!

  • @joefraher8687

    Thanks for the review, David. Is it possible to have multiple cards rise in sequence. Like one person names the Six of Clubs, it rises, and then you push it back into the deck. Then a second person names the Jack of Spades and then it rises. Or can you only have one card rise per performance?

    • @MagicInventor
      @MagicInventor 23 години тому +3

      yes one after the other is fine.

    • @jeffgray7922
      @jeffgray7922 9 годин тому

      Yes, and you don't have to push the card down, you can do what Joshua Jay does and have the card lower magically back into the pack.

  • @themagicbuzz5728
    @themagicbuzz5728 День тому +4

    I completely respect the design here, absolutely ingenious. The fact remains a regular rise is any chosen card as well. I keep it cleaner sometimes by ringing in a spoken only card from my r/s index but even that is unnecessary except when I feel a skepticism rising in the vibe and I want to quash it. What this looks like to me is a collectible. In the right routine it would kill….but. But I have performed card rise for decades and everyone wants to examine stuff afterwards because well the card moved by itself lol. By letting the spec take the card and examine I usually have time to ring out the gimmick. The Kundalini card rise by Jeff McBride is great because you can end so clean by comparison.
    Anyway I say all this because I don’t want newbies to be disappointed with all the practice required (like and index) then no useable routine to wow everyone with on a daily basis 😉

    You make it sound really delicate. Is it easily breakable? Like, will weekly use call for a replacement after a few months?

    • @magicorthodoxy
      @magicorthodoxy  23 години тому

      not breakable, it's just cards and paper

    • @jeffgray7922
      @jeffgray7922 9 годин тому

      Well, actually....mine "broke" within about 20 minutes of playing with it (after watching all of the tutorials) but mine may have been a fluke. The customer service team at vanishingincmagic went above and beyond to take care of me, it was awesome!

    You've certainly built some excitement there. I am mid "brain racking" and I can't figure out a method. Nope. Not a clue. (ETA: And that's not a request for anyone to tip me the method! Where's the fun in that?)

    Can you do it with only one card rising. I can’t. It should have been equivocal. 1-10 choice. Black cards or red cards. 20 cards per trick. I may return mine. Very. Very difficult.

    Love the review as always, not for me, to me this trick is dated , was very popular decades ago was intrigued by it as a child. Not any more, as you say this has to be the ultimate card rise , method included.THURSTON would have loved this though!!

    Sadly, I feel like young “influencers” will try to perform this without practice upon arrival to try to get their “views” immediately thus ruining and exposing the trick. Certain things shouldn’t be released in my opinion. This might be another one that shouldn’t have hit the market
