Pretty sure they’re also including a non flex cut plate. But they also release all their plate files so you can get whatever plate you want realistically. Love my 8xv 3.0

I got super excited about it when I saw it but then I was like, naaaah, let it not be my rebound keyboard just because I hyped myself on Singa Kohaku and Singa Unikorn and haven't won any of them in the raffle. So I decided to skip Matrix Navi and seeing how lukewarm you are about it I am happy I did. Especially that in few days Leviatan will open a GB. What do you think about that one?
Leviatan has more options from a build standpoint, you can build it plateless leafspring or traditional top mount, also includes some half plates to tune the mod sounds which are usually a bit of a weak point on plateless boards. Only two colours but one is a dark gray ano and the other is a beige powdercoat that only adds like $5 to the price. Overall, I would say it looks like it'll be a very good board for the money and it sounds very good from what I've seen
I kinda had similar thoughts on it. I LOVE the look of the Navi. But the sound does not blow me away. So I unfortunately had to skip this one, which sucks because I'm a huge Matrix fan.
If I want to build a super quiet keyboard for silent switches, would it be better to get a kit that can be fully stuffed with foams or to use one that has flexcuts/memeplate/1.2mm pcb? From the videos it seems that 1.2mm flexcut kits like the tofu2.0 or this board sound a lot more quiet than others.
I love all the road and like car-related stuff in the Navi, Nurburgring Nordschleife colour looks so hot. Just not a fan of the stupid meme cut stuff Matrix has been doing with their plates and PCBs as of late. Would be pretty on-theme if you put like a gif of the Nurburgring track map from like Gran Turismo or something on the Nurburgring colour Navi. Dualshot would also be a great match given the Playstation inspiration for that set, and how Gran Turismo was a Playstation game
Sound profile is pretty mid for the price but I also feel like they made the badge too big. It’s an FRL with the same amount of inputs as a 65% with a corner blocker; also not a fan of the year on the badge. Kind of a miss for me and I’m an FRL fan that usually likes matrix labs design language.
the was people follow what some keeb streamers say about skeleton plates and just follow along and think all skelton plates are bad because a keeb streamer said it because it doesn't sound exactly like every full alu with mx black build out there
I knew how this keyboard was gonna sound taking one look at that dogshit pcb and plate. God why do they do this. And also even if its a prototype, having a mounting point on the spacebar is just stupid and goes to show how little they give a fuck, seems like a cash grab to me.
The skeleton plate doesn't affect sound as much as the flex cuts. Geon has skeleton plates, and i have one in my f1, it sounds full. I've used skeleton plates on many boards with full PCBs, it SHOULDNT sound thin just cause of the plate. While it does affect sound to some degree, my point was it doesn't make much of a different in terms of fullness compared to the PCB.

the sound profile is so far out of my preference is always be my deal breaker to me.. looks wise I like it very much tho.
