Did you see the raccoon at 25:30 top left by what looks to be a tube? Fast little critter, running for his or her life! Good approach, well done! Thanks for the videos.
Demo operator for 15 years here. You look good you might try stripping the brick only off the back side where your gonna start. Once you demo into house roof is crunched up on floor you can set bucket teeth on top plate of wall lean it out and shake a bit brick falls off outside footprint then pull wall inside footprint and crunch...I think you will find it much faster this way. When I I demo a house like this I only get about 45 minutes before my first truck so time is key. Smooth operator though
Worked for company that did nothing but knock down old houses to build new ones. I'm a dump truck driver, but the guys that did it had a system to keep everything clean. While doing so, I would walk around and grab copper. Great side hustle...lol but keep up the great videos Bossman..
Chris, I know this is older video, but felt need to comment. I thought you were all about safety!!! In the beginning of this video, I was very concerned that you were going to break your arm! I mean patting yourself on the back that much minimum would be dislocated shoulder. Just giving you crap! It is awesome what you can do with these machines! Very respectfully, Kevin
Quite amazing to see how things are done in other countries...over where I live, all I would need to do is let the local people know that the house had to come down and all I needed was the bricks. Within a day everything would have been removed and all that would be left would be the brick shell! These people are the best recyclers I have ever come across, because nothing goes to waste.
do you have to pay to get the brick recycled? Seems like if you advertised free brick, load it yourself and a date, most of it would walk off by the end of the day. I know I would like a good sized load of them.
It doesn't happen often that one of your videos aggravates the hell out of me but picking away at the brick did lol does recycling the bricks cut down on cost for removing the materials from the old house?
Nice work! Always a pain having to separate the bricks. Love how it looks like the thumb is coming right at you with the camera on the outside of the machine! Tim looks nice and cozy on that machine if you ask me! Lol
Near Syracuse New York the counties in the area charge $65/ton for construction/demolition debris, that's the same price they charge for regular garbage, they also charge the same fee for dirt/cinder blocks/bricks/concrete so it's helpful to the budget to crush things to avoid the fee. What are the tipping fees like in other places?
In rhode island 65 ton plus 125/150 per dumpster truck fee. But concrete or brick. Get rid of free if some one chrushing or some places 50 triaxle load or 3 bucks a ton. So well worth separating
David. Null. Syracuse. My cousins all up your way. Dont see them to often. Been years. They own or owned. Brewerton racetrack. And they own benwood auto parts. There near baldwensville
same over here with bricks and wood... but over here we use sorting grapples for demolition as well as sorting... (and sometimes they take down buildings by hand to recover old bricks in a usable condition... they are being sold once they are cleaned for renovation of old buildings as well as real "vintage bricks"
I know it has to be done, but I hate watching you destroy houses. Even when they are basically in ruined and in the way of a new house. Something primal I suppose.
It's amazing just how articulate you are with that bucket , I sometimes lose sight of jus how big the thing is, can you play the piano with it ! ! Do you take requests ? ?.the ease and comfortability you are the best Chris
I been watching since you started and my dad has a business and I did work like this but it was a general contractor and they closed the doors on it and I am about 18 and have my own truck and trailer and I want to start a business like yours. Thanks for the videos
That was the house that the third little pig built. You are the big bad wolf and you've won. The poor little pig is sausage now. Sad! So sad! But I still like sausage. Especially in gravy and poured over split biscuits, scrambled eggs and fried taters. Yummy!
Looked at a two store house one time and all the outside walls were 3 or 4 bricks thick. My cousin's husband was a brick layer they lived next door to it he bought it and tore it down sold the brick to some of his customers.
Chris next time you do a demo could you maybe put a cam in the building as you do some of the demo? I think it would be cool to see an inside look as it’s being torn down.
When brick is only a vernier it will not make a house last any longer than all those sticks its built with on the inside. Having 3 or 4 feet of real brick structure in every load bearing g wall to contend with might make the structure last a whole lot longer. The reality of any building technique is to keep the water out in a first place.
Chris: did you know there is a little rabit living on the second floor? you can see it for about 2 seconds when you're hitting the corner of the house at the end, you see it moving through the open hole. check it out!
3 layers of brick could mean only 1 thing. The house is in a bad neighborhood and needs to be bullet proof.. Just a guess. or maybe it was just lazy brickworkers who did not want to remove the old layer before putting the new brickwork up. who knows.
Nice job of "precision demo". I had to go back because I cought the movement of the raccoon. Lol Do you reuse the lintels yourself or add to the recycle pile?
Somebody has the patience of a saint pealing the damn brick off. House demo for us around her to dispose of it is upwards of 3000 dollars per 40 yard roll off bin.
Good video been watching your videos for a while and I got to say you are Good with that excavator you make it look easy to operate I have operated back hole before you are good good my friend be safe
How do u load that brick an not get little mud/dirt mixed in ? Maybe that's allowed just not trash. Too bad u didn't have a lake someone wanted filled in
low copper % in that guttering must of been made prior to 1974 back then it was pure aluman that is why it is so brittle this is also why extuded alum is 70 cents a lb now
I've been watching your channel for a while now excavator work seems like so much fun especially demolition how many tons is that excavator that you're driving
220 should be 22 metric. Bout 48,000 or 24 ton. My 160's are 41,000 lb. Depends on the brand also. Kumatso and hyundai's. Are heavier per same size as others. My Hyundai 160's. Are about. 5,000 more lbs then a cat 315.
So you'd better tell us what happens if you don't take Timmy out on some of these jobs and let him play with the mini while you run the big boys toys. Does he scream and shout the big boy won't let him play, or chew the ears off his teddy bear and throw it out the pram L.O.L Thanks for the video, Take care guys.
Thats probably still cheaper than getting the wrong crap in the loads as it goes to recycling and they reject it as mixed loads, like Chris said with wood in the bricks. Then it has to go to land fill for more dollars a ton costs to get rid of it .
Hey Chris I noticed on this video that in the top right side opening on the roof at 25.33 min into the video it looks like a rabbit is in the roof..lol. just didn't know if anyone had spotted it.
Nice to see some brickwork for a change, lol. Can't believe you don't gut these old homes out first, over here the "Traveler" community would have reduced that to a brick shell in no time.
So much aggression!! 22:08 Turns around.... Innocent little pine tree... RRAAAAARRRRRR!!! Imma F-K YO ASS UP!!! SMASH- RIP- GGGAAAARRR!!! Casually turns around and continues
Next time on: "This Old House".....
Did you see the raccoon at 25:30 top left by what looks to be a tube? Fast little critter, running for his or her life! Good approach, well done! Thanks for the videos.
Poor ol Tim on the open station Yanmar. Guess he hasn’t graduated to the enclosed cab machine....
Lack of maintenance killed a perfectly good house. The amount of rot due to water infiltration was incredible.
That's one way to clean out some gutters! 🙂👍
Yeah you don't want to hire Chris for gutter cleaning. Lol

Love how you "parked" the dormer framing in the little garage! lol

Do you really get that much for the brick that its worth the time?
Quite amazing to see how things are done in other countries...over where I live, all I would need to do is let the local people know that the house had to come down and all I needed was the bricks. Within a day everything would have been removed and all that would be left would be the brick shell! These people are the best recyclers I have ever come across, because nothing goes to waste.
Your skills with that machine are amazing...
Just to be clear you knocked down the bricks and Tim was coming behind you and sorting out the wood?
Brian Gardiner true
I am betting they will say the brick is not clean enough.
I'm surprised that sturdy little all-brick house wasn't worth saving
If you noticed there are no framed walls ' that's because they used three lays of brick for the exterior walls .
do you have to pay to get the brick recycled? Seems like if you advertised free brick, load it yourself and a date, most of it would walk off by the end of the day. I know I would like a good sized load of them.
This shows how skilled he is on the controls. Thats what everyday for over 10 yrs looks like
It doesn't happen often that one of your videos aggravates the hell out of me but picking away at the brick did lol does recycling the bricks cut down on cost for removing the materials from the old house?
yeah it save alot of money if you separate it
Nice work! Always a pain having to separate the bricks. Love how it looks like the thumb is coming right at you with the camera on the outside of the machine! Tim looks nice and cozy on that machine if you ask me! Lol
Chris operates that claw better than a find surgeon does a scapel....
Chris is a dang surgeon with that machine.
Dont forget to lock that door before leave. Just leave the key under that please !! Lmao🤣🤣😂😂

@@stephendunham9597 yup. Brother
Have you ever found anything in the wall of old house that you tear down
the murder weapon....
Knock knock anybody home? LMAO!
Your suppose to let the occupants of the house know your gonna demo lol... What happens when you feed cotton candy to a raccoon?
same over here with bricks and wood... but over here we use sorting grapples for demolition as well as sorting... You could brush your teeth with that thing Chris... One great operator
How much of a return on your time investment do you get for sorting the brick, wood and metal? Seems like a lot of tedious effort...for what?
it saves a couple thousand on dump fees
Was it in the contract that you had to take the house down that way separate brick from other debris Chris ?
He stated in the video that he could recycle the brick as long as it didn't have wood mixed in.
Another great video! Nice work!
It's amazing just how articulate you are with that bucket , I sometimes lose sight of jus how big the thing is, can you play the piano with it ! ! Do you take requests ? ?.the ease and comfortability you are the best Chris
The wood coming off of there looks a bit doughty. Are they having you tear it down to build a new home there?
I been watching since you started and my dad has a business and I did work like this but it was a general contractor and they closed the doors on it and I am about 18 and have my own truck and trailer and I want to start a business like yours. Thanks for the videos
did not give tim the new yanmar with a cab, not nice

Hell that house damn sure wasnt moving. Triple layer brick
Looked like a nice house...50 years ago !!
@letsdig18 ....When you was pushing that wall through the garage door on the back of the house...it really puts that bucket size in perspective.....
Looked at a two store house one time and all the outside walls were 3 or 4 bricks thick. My cousin's husband was a brick layer they lived next door to it he bought it and tore it down sold the brick to some of his customers.
25 minutes.... That means another beer before bed, can't be bad. Cheers. :D 25:32 Chris you disturbed a poor racoon from its slumber lol
That looked like a cat ran through the upstairs bathroom
They got a good deal on the brick lol great video Chris thanks for sharing have a great day
Raccoon is in the house. I repeat raccoon is in the house. Lol
not any more
Do they pay you for the bricks at the recycling place??
Chris next time you do a demo could you maybe put a cam in the building as you do some of the demo? I think it would be cool to see an inside look as it’s being torn down.
Do you ever wonder if some guy isn't gonna come running up to you and yell at you "whoa, whoa, we changed our mind!"
or was the wrong house, was to of been the junked up one on next street over
Anyone else see that racoon run for his life?
"FBI! Open up or we'll knock the front door down" 👮
Did you see that raccoon running for cover in the upstairs bathroom 25:30
Poor racoon about to be homeless.
haha didnt see it, 2 came running out when I tore it down though
had to rewatch that part i missed it ,, plus my dogs were rough housing half in my lap then ,,good catch ,,

Chris has the hydraulic pump always sounded like that? If not it may be going out..
all that volvo power, sounds the same to me
Did you see the racoon at 2530. top floor it runs around the bathtub.
Should’ve gone to medical school to be a surgeon with such dexterity.
Chris: did you know there is a little rabit living on the second floor? you can see it for about 2 seconds when you're hitting the corner of the house at the end, you see it moving through the open hole. check it out!
Damn, that was painful to watch. Like watching someone cut the grass with scissors. Was hoping you would just tear in to it.
Take this door and shove it, right through the front window. That took some skill to not crush the thing with the thumb. Awesome job!!!
chris someday you should try buying yourselfd a big dump trailer
3 layers of brick could mean only 1 thing. The house is in a bad neighborhood and needs to be bullet proof.. Just a guess. or maybe it was just lazy brickworkers who did not want to remove the old layer before putting the new brickwork up. who knows.
There is more wood and metal in that house than a two million dollar home but today !
Up here in 🇨🇦 old brick house are three to four rows thick! Structure not just looks. 👍🏼☺️🇨🇦
Nice job of "precision demo". I had to go back because I cought the movement of the raccoon. Lol

Bet that was one cold house in the winter.. no insulation at all it appears.
Are you using the 160? Love the videos!
220
Now THAT is what I would call " Precision" work!

Next week on the news: Famous youtuber and heavy machine operator makes the worlds first open heart surgery with an excavator!
I've been watching your channel for a while now excavator work seems like so much fun especially demolition how many tons is that excavator that you're driving

Chris burns a gallon of diesel to get 50 cents of aluminum.

That's just too SHOW off.... what REAL operator can not do that!?!?! Remember it's you tube..... 3/4 of viewers are 12 years old!!!!
Stephen Dunham when is your thirteenth birthday
Multiple layers of brick like that tells you it's structural and not just a veneer.
Timmy must be on shit duty again.. didn't even get the closed cab mini. Poor little fella..lol
Save all that angle iron from the widows and doors you never know when you will need it and it's high to buy good job so far
That was the best save along with all the culvert fittings.
I could watch that all day.
poor Tim out there in the cold poor lad. i would of thought taking the roof off first would be best
Looks like the mini would had worked better to take those bricks off the said ?
The mini won't reach high enough.
Ok just a thought
Todd Roberts would’ve been too close having to reach that high, also.
there were several "that's pretty damn impressive" moments in this one...
I love demo!!!! Nice work.
Reminds me of taking a jigsaw puzzle apart after completing.
Hey Chris I noticed on this video that in the top right side opening on the roof at 25.33 min into the video it looks like a rabbit is in the roof..lol. just didn't know if anyone had spotted it.

annoying.. there is a leaf on the top right window of cab.. ocd must get it..
Did Tim get to break the big window in the back?
Did you see the animal run across the floor. where you broke out of the wall on the second floor. it was 25 minutes 34 seconds into your video
am i the only one who thinks this is pianful to watch? that brick house had another 1000 years
