Hi Baus Matt: I live in the White Mountains of Eastern Az. retired there after living in the valley for over 30 years. So i've played most of the courses you are playing on your Az trip. Just wanted to tell you how much i love seeing you here in the State & Good Old U.S.A.! Also had to share that i have been using TWOTP and shot a nice 81 yesterday (1 over on back 9 with 3 birdies) and then when i get home and seen a New Golf Sidekick vid! What a Day! What a Life! It's All Good! Thanks Playa!!!

Matt, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in the greatest country in all of human history. It's the only place on the planet where people can come with literally nothing in their pockets and end up owning a home, starting their own business, and more. We Americans need to chill a bit and appreciate what we have in this awesome country.

Matt you do realize I'm watching this from Michigan right now.....🥶it's a high of 14° today and we just got a fresh 12" of snow over the weekend..... Yay! I love this State and it has beautiful golf courses but these winters are tuff! Thanks though makes me a bit warmer.......(inside)🤣
Matt - You continue to put smiles on everyone's faces when we see a new video of this trip drop. It is a bonus to the day and does make us appreciate what you got to experience here. But it is still nice to get a reminder. We all get so lost in our daily lives that we don't stop to smell the roses from time to time. It seems that you will inevitably end up a permanent resident of the US one day. Looking forward to seeing that happen so we can get an outting for Playas to unite and have a great time.

I played Quintero last summer with my friend. Other than it being 115 F it was the nicest course I’ve had the chance to play.

Excellent course! Always worth the drive from wherever in Phoenix you're staying. I played there at Christmas when visiting the in-laws and it was in great shape!!
Nice comments at the end. After just 5 years of staying in Thailand I also find myself longing for all the things you’ve eluded to here in America. No doubt, All places have their sucky parts- it’s just a clear indication that we as humans should probably never be sedentary for too long. The sucky parts tend to only get louder and louder the longer we stay in one spot. Today You’ve reminded me to be grateful of the things I love about Thailand since I definitely won’t be traveling anytime soon 😂.

Love that your trip here was so therapeutic. Daily courtesies are often taken for granted. Years ago a buddy of mine from the Philippines told me that Americans don't understand how cheap life is in other places in the world and how cheap the golf here in the States.

Great video and great round. I live in Nevada and I love the desert; when I'm not golfing, I love to hike and take in the beauty. Nevada's Mojave desert is a bit more bare than the Sonoran desert you've experienced in Arizona, but it's got its own charm, and we've got some of the darkest night skies in the world, where the stars give an entirely different sense of place in the universe. America might be known in other part of the world for our politics and our cities, the places in between are much more to my liking. Enjoy!

The worse thing that may have happened to me, was hitting a drive 300 yards. Instead of playing comfortable and smart golf, I always try to attack the ball with the driver, which causes a big slice for me. Just by playing a comfortable 250ish drive, I've been scoring lower. When everything is relaxed, I play my best. When playing with friends, I try to stop caring how far they hit the drive, and play my game. Easy does it!!

Awesome track. Re: the DECADE system of golf, the 65 yard recommendation for driver is 100% based on your dispersion with the driver. For Pros, its like 65 yards between lost ball/OB hazards so imagine how much wider that dispersion should be for amateurs.
Which is exactly why I don't subscribe to any of these grifters!
First tee decision is also all about calming the jitters and hitting something you know you’ll get solid contact on. I ALWAYS hit driver on first tee if I remotely can, even if it’s a tighter hole I’d otherwise consider hitting less club on, because I’m generally lost confident out of the box having the advantage of that nice big 460cc club head and face to hit the ball with on tee one. That’s my comfort blanket. But Matt blasts irons like a baws, so that’s his. Makes sense.

Not quite that easy
The U.S. is so expensive. Playa Matt lives in Thailand for $1500 a month. You can't live in this country for $1500 a month unless you live in a van down by the river.
When I think of Quintero, I think of wild donkeys. We had to wait on the 3rd hole as a pack of them ran across the 3rd hole. 😄
