I got the kit mainly to use the bag with a more common backpacking filter. The included filter is huge.

Yes, not the most compact filter option. But we like that you can interchange the system with other filters if needed. Which filter are you using?

@@thegoodridesnow Hi... The Sawyer squeeze is the tried and true. It backflushes really well. Next season I'll play with a Platypus Quickdraw. The HydraPak 28mm filter adapter is handy with the hose + quick connect fittings I've had over the years.
