Andy I have used a number of these Chinese made reels and structurally they are faultless. Machined aluminum, well finished and very strong. The best of these are MaxCatch or Piscifun. I have one or I guess two issues. If you go with a click drag I only have one issue. Every one I have purchased has had the disc drag seize up. No good reason I use them no harder than any other reel. The bearings are not sealed and grit gets into them constantly. I have asked them to consider sealing the bearings. I wish I could have said something better. Their click pawl drives with a bushing though are great little reels ghough
tried this reel out today. somehow managed to lose the axle screw after 5 casts... completely useless reel now :/ any idead on where to get spare parts?
@@IBandAndyFishingCool. I still see the old one is available to purchase with a couple of vendors. Would you happen to know if it balances nicely with a 7ft6 #3 Brook?

Paired mine with Hardy demon smuggler aws 8'#4. It balances it and looks soo good!

My old reel keeps getting the mono stuck in it. Is this closed cage / full cage as looking for a reel to complete my euro nymph setup
I'm think of getting either one of these or the Scierra Traxion 1 LW to team up with a #3 wt rod. Have you tried both?
I have yes, the one in the video isn't made any more but it's smaller and lighter than the LW, in truth I prefer the old one in the video!
