That wasn't real lechon, it was just lechon kawali. Real lechon is a whole pig roasted in open fire. If it's just fried like that lechon kawali, or just grilled, or just cooked in an oven then that's not real lechon. In Cebu go to restaurants like Rico's or CNT lechon. If you want large chunks but cheap & unbranded though still authentic lechon & very delicious, go to Carcar market, lots of lechon stalls there.

Welcome to the Philippines :) Glad you discovered San Miguel is Filipino... Jollibee has 1500 stores now across the globe (there's several in the UK). And their Chickenjoy was voted best fried chicken in America by a notable food website. Yes, Filipinos love to sing. In the 90s, our Lea Salonga became the toast of London for being the first Miss Saigon. She was the first Asian woman to win a Tony and other prestigious awards. She also did the singing voices of Jasmine in Aladdin and of Mulan in the Disney animated classics. She has many more accomplishments on stage, recordings and live performances. Check out also Arnel Pineda, lead singer of US band Journey. Watch his old Oprah guesting with the band. :)
You have eaten lechong kawali with peanut sauce. (kare kare). You try the original lechon Cebu. Not the deep fried one. Lechon Cebu is roasted pig. You can ask where you can find it. Happy to know that you are enjoying your stay. Looking forward to the rest of your Vlogs. ❤️

Nice! I get tired and jet lagged seeing you guys travel from Europe to Asia :) Cebu is a lovely place, great seafood also aside from lechon kawali... If China has parks, Philippines has beaches :)
@jana catudan yes but since China is such a huge country, it is very difficult to go to their beaches. Because Philippines is an archipelago, the coastline is bigger. One can go to the beach from the metro with a drive of under 2 hours.
@jana catudan yes that's true, though they explained that they were really meant to be a travel channel. They are maintaining 2 channels now, one specifically for the China audience, and this one is for travelers. They also mentioned this. Lee will be traveling back to China for the original channel.
Oli. The sauce in kare-kare is peanut-based sauce. In the past, it was grounded into a pasty saucy texture. But now, people just use peanut butter instead. The condiments which is a requirement to take in with kare-kare is actually shrimp paste and it is salty. Though there are now variations of it which is spicy and sweet.
Go to bohol chocolate hills and river cruise. Dive in moalboal and thousandth more to do mabuhay! Hello philippines mabuhay!. Our home is your home too sunmer isle sunny smiles hello ABIHAY TO YOU!
what you got and eaten is Lechon Kawali, a variation of the true Lechon. Search for Carcar Lechon or Rico's Lechon. Just take note of the delivery schedule at the restaurant so you can get newly roasted delivered Lechon, otherwise, you'll end up with soggy skinned leftovers.

You must ask food stall staff or in any restaurant staff what ingredients there in the food for u to avoid any food allergy like peanut.. the sauce they gave u i think fish sauce..The lechon u ate was not the lechon baboy it was lechon kawali mix in kare kare . YOOOOO I actually was here before. It's cool to see you've been to Venice! The restaurants are good there and the guys that pose in costumes are chill. [Edit: Venice is actually close to a college called Enderun! Cool college too.]
Lee, Oli. There is something wrong with the lechon that you showed here. The famous food in Cebu is actually the "native lechon" which is a roast pig. The one you showed is lechon kawali and that is deep fried. Just try looking for native lechon instead.
If anyone has any recommendations of places to go or food I must try then please let me know! When I come back I’ll be sure to try to go 🙂
Visit the crown jewel of the Philippines, BORACAY 💙
try to go to ilocos norte.. try to ski sand dunes in paoay..

Rico's lechon and House of Lechon is the way to go.
Enjoy Venice Mall
Lee, Oli. There is something wrong with the lechon that you showed here. The famous food in Cebu is actually the "native lechon" which is a roast pig. The one you showed is lechon kawali and that is deep fried. Just try looking for native lechon instead.
Try Rico's lechon there in cebu ☺
🙂 nice
That's not the real lechon. That"s lechon kawali. They're different

Btw, salamat po.
Considering the real Venice is so polluted they should raise the fee to 200 euros
Boracay is way better than Cebu. Its the 2022 Travelers choice for best island in Asia. Then next is Palawan which only top 9 I think.
