Every heat has 20 rounds The one who crosses the finishline first wins the heat. And nearly everything is allowed to win But you can also win prices for being the biggest entertainer (making the biggest crahses) or for having the most rare car etc. At the end of the day you have the Demolition Derby, were every car that's still drivable is particapating. The Demoltion Derby is like the last man standing, the last car on the track that survives the carnage wins. Isn's this the best crazy sport in the world? HELL YEAH!!!

Absolutely. Many hours go into preparing these cars. Obviously all the glass and most of the interior are removed. Then there is 'H' cages bolted just behind the driver. These are bolted from floor to roof and protect the driver from side, rear and rollover impacts. The battery and fuel cell are also bolted to the cage as are the safety belts. The original petrol tank is removed. The radiators are also removed and replaced behind the engine. Exhausts are cut off. The steering column is welded/bolted in place to reduce risk to the driver. Some drivers cover the steering wheel with duct tape to reduce the risk of broken hand bones. The drivers door is heavily reinforced with steel plates and the roof and floor too. Basically the car is strengthened around the driver but everywhere else is allowed to crumple to absorb the impact and to please the spectators!
Rules on the car include door plates, bonnet bolts, H-frames, and so on, rules for racing, no hitting drivers door, no oppo (although some tracks allow it on the bends) and no hitting on a red flag, anything else go’s
Some crashes do look quite tame as in they are not as bad as say some of the ones where in some cases people should be black flagged because they aim for the drivers door or crash into someone in a dangerous matter that it can literally seriously injure or even worse kill another driver.
Fatalities are extremely rare. Usually the worst you come away with is bruising where the harness restrains you and maybe some whiplash. The odd broken bone is to be expected but not too common. The mixture of sheer terror and adrenalin is something else though.
