It's a guitar hand built by a student of mine, Hank Switzer. When I say hand built, he actually lathed the neck and everything. None of it is from a kit.

Can' we just get the backing track without having to sign up on spotify?
Spotify has a free (Ad supported) tier so you should be able to get it without paying anything. Otherwise there are plenty of backing tracks here on UA-cam. For something similar to what Doug was using, just search for "Slow Blues in C minor guitar backing track"
John, I agree with Dan. Just sign up for a free ad supported version of Spotify. I personally pay the monthly fee because I love so many things about it. And as Dan said, you can really check out any blues backing track and it will work to play with the ideas that I'll be explaining. Thanks for commenting.
