played with the ultras in the family love colorway for the first time just 4 hours ago. man fell in love at first run. kinda feels like a kobe and kinda looks like a gt cut 1. its true it does need a little bit of break for more consistent bite in the outsole. overall, indeed, a fantastic shoes.
Li-Ning is cooking with these shoe, they figured it out how to make a great basketball shoe that performed just like the Kobe's, as you all know that it's extremely hard to cop a Kobe's, these may be the best Kobe Alternatives
The fact that the only problem you culd find with the 3 ultra was the way the material folds really shows how amazing of a shoe it is! WOW have been amazing with their new models.
Dope video! I'm excited that they've switched things up with the looks of these, even though I prefer the looks of the Ultra 2s itself. I like that they added more to the drop in midsole, curious to see what their Ultra V2's look like if they continue to do it with this line.

I have not tried the newer Li-Ning shoes, had the running ones they were good and lasted more than my zoom structure they were comfy and grippy. Currently using the JA1.
I just got a pair of the 808 3 ultras as my first pair of hoop shoes my feet need to get used to them as I've already gotten a blister on the right side of my right foot but my left foot is fine and both feet get sore after use as well but I'm just assuming that's because they need to get used to my feet
i have wide ish feet and another youtuber “the sole drop” recommended to go a whole size up since half a size wasn’t enough for him. i have nike fly by mids in a size 11 and i have length room but also a tiny bit on the width so i don’t know if i should go a half size up or a full size up. help me 🥹
Half size up is the best option, but they don’t make an 11.5. So regular version staying at size 11 is probably better, Ultra version you can go a full size up to 12.
Best 3 from them as of now, tough to pick 😂 Tbh WOW 10 is still hard to beat, it’s such a complete package and bouncier than the other two. But you really can’t go wrong with any of these 3 shoes.
hey tommy! i was thinking of getting the new “chemical reaction” colourway for the ultra but i couldn’t help but notice that the outsole was a translucent outsole! you mentioned that the translucent outsole on the WOW 808 2 Ultra didn’t perform well in terms of traction performance so should i be cautious with these ones? i also saw your recent post with the WOW 10 City of Angels which also use a translucent outsole. did they perform the same as any other WOW 10 shoe?
Hey. Oh that I can’t be sure tbh… I just have this colorway and this one works perfectly fine but they basically changed the translucent outsole to a solid rubber on the “Oxygen”. The translucent outsole this time I haven’t tested one myself. But the WOW 10 translucent outsole is amazing, works just as well - top level grip.

Yes I would say so, they should be good to go for wide feet. Probably the most wide foot friendly option out of Way of Wade shoes too 😃 But I’d still recommend going half size up just to be safe.
Sizing question...I have the All City 11 in my tts size 12 which fit fine. However, There is no 12.5 listed for the 808-3 Ultra. Will a 12 be too tight, a 13 run too long? I prefer a looser, less snug fit but obviously not something my feet will swim in. I've taken all your recommendations on sizing which have been spot on for me.

Yeah it’s kind of a dilemma in your case since they don’t make the 12.5… With the 808 3 Ultra, I would probably go for the size 13, they are more snug compared to the All City 11 (if for the same size). I mean worse case scenario too big is better than too small in my opinion, cause you can always double sock.
I have both pairs and am absolutely loving them! Has anyone tried the ultra insole with the regular shoe? I find the regular shoe to actually be a bit more comfortable but the full length boom is a noticeable upgrade. I think the full length boom in the regular shoe would be best of both worlds!
You should try it. I did with mine was swap the kobe 11's insole and use it on my 808 2. Man, it was an absolute beast. Give it a try and use the ultra insole on the regular version
@@levivercettii I did and I don’t regret it! I wear 11.5 in my retro Js and got these in 12 and they feel perfect. Disclaimer though I wear Nike elite socks when I hoop and thinner socks with my retros so I’m sure that plays a factor

Yeah size 12 might be better to be safe. I always think too big is better than too small, cause you can double sock vs there’s no fix if you can’t fit. Regular version i think 11 is fine though.

FuelCell + ABZORB isn’t going to be as “soft” as BOOM but the responsive feeling is amazing - I strongly recommend you to try on a pair of the TWO WXY V2 or V3 if you can. V3 is even better since they improved the forefoot cushion.

Tommy, I just got a pair of those 808 3 ultra. On left side makes a squeaky foam sound when walking in it, is it normal? I am thinking about returning them but will it go away after breaking in?
How do they feel on feet? Or is it just the sound? I would say as long as you didn’t have anywhere on the upper pinching against your feet that’s good to go. But in case it’s causing you discomfort, might be a no-go cause the Ultra version does have that small material problem vs the regular. For me they did break in well over time.
Haven’t used them outside yet but I’m guessing that they are good. The previous version was durable enough for outdoor use and this outsole looks like they’ll hold up well too.

Cushion feels similar since both have BOOM - I’d say in this case we can decide based on your foot shape: wider feet All City 11, medium-narrow feet 808 3 Ultra.
How are these for flat feet or low arch? Ive been thinking of these and JB1's but I normally don't do drop-ins anymore because I use orthotics. I had the GT cut 1 and 2 and they were alright but I just felt I needed more support and sometimes my arch would be sore after maybe 2 hrs of play.
To be absolutely honest, to avoid soreness for flat feet over extended runs the regular version is actually better based on my experience. I have extremely flat feet and playing in the regular version felt so nice even after a long sesh. Not because it has better arch support though, just a very comfortable ride.
i wear 10.5 on zions and has quite a bit of room in the forefoot but i want my shoes to be a tad bit tight and little space in the forefoot should i go 44 or 45?

Yes you can. I tried it, feels pretty good.
But obviously I wouldn’t advise buying two pairs just to do that you know.

WOW 10 is one of best shoes in a long time. So it’s hard to beat, but I’d say these are pretty much equally as good.
Also the Ultra saw a huge improvement from the previous Ultra in this colorway.

So with a drop in and full boom is this not similar to the gt cut 2 cushion set up ?
Quite different. The GT Cut 2 has an elevated court feel while these are still fairly low to the ground.

Ultra version remains about the same. Regular will have a more forgiving fit / width.

Cushion feels similar since both have BOOM - I’d say in this case we can decide based on your foot shape: wider feet All City 11, medium-narrow feet 808 3 Ultra.

How are these for flat feet or low arch? Ive been thinking of these and JB1's but I normally don't do drop-ins anymore because I use orthotics. I had the GT cut 1 and 2 and they were alright but I just felt I needed more support and sometimes my arch would be sore after maybe 2 hrs of play.
To be absolutely honest, to avoid soreness for flat feet over extended runs the regular version is actually better based on my experience. I have extremely flat feet and playing in the regular version felt so nice even after a long sesh. Not because it has better arch support though, just a very comfortable ride.

Do you think you could have went true to size on the regular 808 3 ? I am currently using the two wxy v3 and luka 1 and they fit me perfectly true to size. I'm debating if I can go true to size or if I need to go half size up.
You could. I think half size up will be a little bit better though, and for a reference I went TTS with the TWO WXY V3 & Luka 1 too. 😃

I was expecting the 808 3 ultra to be a bit loose compared to the super snug sof. Way of wade should definitely add 11.5 in their sizes
