I have been watching these from the earliest to the 97 season now, and the onset of the four stroke is making me sad. At least they had to run against open two strokes then and we still had the three traditional classes. Not a four stroke guy and I consider they have made the sport much more expensive. Thank God the mini classes are still two stroke. Though it is not good having under 16's on heavy 250 four strokes when they could have been on 125's if the class remained 125 only. Basically if the capacity had remained equivalent then things would be different, after all that hand made 400 Yam didn't need to be bigger to beat most of the two strokes in the 500 class in 97. But the smaller classes would have fought the four strokes with more success than the open bikes no doubt.
