Allie, no matter the course difficulty, amount of preparation, fitness level, jet lag, etc., there is no quit in you. You are an absolute beast! Congratulations for a successful trail season.👏🙂👍
I'm continually amazed at your ability to adapt and excel in different athletic environments. Your YT video format is packed with content with little to no "fluff" and you seem to always "tell it like it is" no matter how it looks. You exemplify humility in your successes and aren't afraid to be vulnerable when it doesn't go as planned or as well as you hoped or expected. I have immense respect for the dedication and commitment you demonstrate and the persistence to do your best in all these extremely challanging endeavors. Thank you so much for sharing your journey in this new part of your running/athletics career. I am really enjoying following your process and your insights into the trail racing genre (may as well call it mountain goat racing!). Congratulations on a great start in your first season of this sport.
This was such a kind and thoughtful comment. I really appreciate the support for my channel and my story. I love sharing my goals and experiences through videos, and I'm glad that you find them informative and entertaining. Thanks so much for the support!
Allie, after one trail season you are in the elite classification category, how cool is that. you are such a beautiful example in every way.thanks for sharing all your trials and triumps...I remember what Coach Ihmels said once about you and I quote : "" Allie always runs above her fitness level " .You proved Your coach correct. Despite pre race setbacks you crushed it, Kudos !
So so proud of your racing in this series. You made America and me proud to be a follower of your career. I think you found your niche as a pro runner 😊❤
I mean, you had a crazy year, kind of winged it on these trail races, and still finished top 20 in the world. That's kind of insane. And with all the lessons learned, there's so much room for improvement! Congrats!
Yay! Great job Allie! 7th in the Prologue and 19th in the final, for 20th overall in the final standings! Fam and I woke up to watch the show on the UA-cams! Hope you had lots of fun! Looking forward to see what you do next!
I think I've complimented you so often on your humor. I love it and it's contagious. But it's your heart when it comes to competing that I find endearing. You have the heart of a lion.. You seem so mentally tough, the Rambo of female runners. You may not win every event but it's never for lack of effort. You always leave it all out there. Very neat that you got to go to Italy! Wow that had to be pretty awesome. Congrats Allie and coach Klau! At least I think Ari is still coaching you.
Allie, I am so proud of you! I watched the race and I could not believe how incredibly brutal it was. That first climb was a mega beast. I was cheering for you. You crushed the prologue and were in the company of the world's best women trail runners. Pat yourself on the back for that. Finishing 20th in the series for a newbie at this level is next level great. Throw yourself a party!
Hi Allie-I was so excited when you finished 7th in the Prologue. I watched some of the final but the coverage focused pretty narrowly on the first three runners, so I’m pretty thrilled you had content for this video. That course looked pretty brutal-what did you think about the flower design? Was it helpful in the spacing of aid stations? I know what you mean about coffee-when I was in Rome I could get a cappuccino for 1€. Here in New York City that would be about $4.25. Congratulations on making it through the race, and finishing out the year at 20th in the world. That’s amazing. 🦋
I didn't mind the flower design, but it meant that we had 4 steep descents back into town during the race which drove the elevation gain and loss up....making it a really challenging course! Also, I honestly think it would have been good to have another aid station during the race because it was 70 degrees and 80% humidity!
Man that course looks really tough, great job on pulling through even though you didn't feel good, those are the hardest moments and you did it! Super proud of you, truly an inspiration to us all and can't wait to see what you'll do next season :)
Great job on the race and video. I appreciate you taking the time to document and tell the story of your adventures. I especially like how specific you are about your prerace preparation and nutrition. Thanks for all the very helpful information.
Congrats, Allie! Wow, what a tough series. That looked brutal, but you got it done. Thanks for taking us along, and recover well. Look forward to more adventures soon.
Allie, you need to cut yourself some slack! Applaud and recognize your efforts, one race does not define your journey. I marvel at your relentless pursuit of victory and success. You are already a winner!
Caught a little of the main race on TV here in the UK - it looked incredibly hard and all the competitors did an amazing job. This kind of performance really bodes well for next season Allie!
Allie, you have shown an awesome amount of toughness, resilience, and patience this year and it is great to see you end the season on a high note. I hope you continue to make strides forward in all aspects of your life and make sure you continue to have fun and smell the roses.
So proud of you Allie. What a great outcome after your first golden trail season. Can't wait to see what happens next. Would you ever consider moving to the mountains in France/Italy?
Ccngrats Allie. I was really excited when I recognized you on the start line the first time in the trail series. I love the Golden Trail Series and I didn't know you had dived into doing the trails. Super good attitude about learning and time to get better. Great result of 20 in world!
That course looked brutal-so many turns and crazy hills and stairs on the last loop. Doing those races with jet lag is an added brutality. Good job and you really are so strong and brave to put yourself out there (and do so well!)
The course was definitely the hardest one I've ever done..if I'm racing something similar in the future, I'll have to adjust my training to prepare for those specific demands!
These Italian paths are tough to walk, i totally understand the pain of the final race. After the long trip and little physical trouble the last weeks, you must be very proud of your ranking. All in all, it looks like you gain a lot of experience and took the opportunity to learn while doing well… can you ask for more?
Yay, loved this. You finished 20th in the WORLD! Think about that, it's pretty damned amazing. Especially love your attitude. Keep rocking it, Allie. Alaska is SO proud of you.
There is nothing more taxing- both mentally and physically- than an uphill/downhill and repeat type race... There's nothing we all like more than rhythm- and these races don't allow it... but, therein lies the challenge and the fun ! You did great Allie... and yes Italy is the place for you- for Coffee AND crazy/mixed terrain races ! :D
Allie: this was so inspirational. I’m planning to run the race to Robie Creek in Boise next month as an older runner. Thanks a lot! Your videos are really helpful, and great!
WAY TO GO!!! Top 20 in the WORLD your first season?? And having a good time while training and doing it? Mental stability and fortitude are the real accomplishments here, and I am sure you will only build on that from here if you decide this is what you want to do!
Usually I want to quit runs for maybe 1-3 mi. 8 or 9 miles of wanting to quit is next level, especially on a course like this. You are such a badass as a runner and as a person.
I am so impressed, ranked 20th with having done just a few races in the series. I think this is what you are meant to be doing. It all started back in Alaska on Mount Marathon so it makes sense that you would end up in the World Series. Can’t wait for next season
Killian peeking over your shoulder after the prologue. 😂 I tuned into a little of the race. Those uphills looked brutal and the downhills looked scary! 😳 19th is amazing for your first season and arriving less than 24 hours prior. Bravo!!
Allie you make me laugh so hard! "I'm down-playing it!" Fantastic job and congrats. You look so strong. Can't wait to see you killing it in the years to come:)
So, so proud of you Allie. You made a huge leap from road races and track to trail racing, and you’ve done beyond fantastic. Here’s to many more years on the trail to come. For now, get some rest!! 😆
Those World Final courses looked so extreme and punishing... still though 20th place is absolutely marvelous!!! Fast finish there in the end of the season!
Allie you should link this video when you post your video from this year it is way underviewed compared to your other race videos and it deserves more views
congrats to you. Too bad you weren't prepared enough for this. Next year you might be able to do the whole season and finish with a much better rank, even though given the conditions your rank is already outstanding.
That's so awesome Allie! What an amazing whirlwind of a racing trip to Italy. You did yourself PROUD girl. Like all on here, looking forward to 2024 for you. Bring on (more) of the stoke!!
Allie, no matter the course difficulty, amount of preparation, fitness level, jet lag, etc., there is no quit in you. You are an absolute beast! Congratulations for a successful trail season.👏🙂👍
this is such a nice comment..I'm just blushing behind the keyboard right now. Thank you so much!
Tough woman is a major understatement to describe Allie.
awe shucks, thank you!
Congratulations for being in the top 20 trail runners in the entire WORLD 🌎 Wahoo! So EPIC.

The one word is definitely MADNESS! 😍
Running is allowing you to get paid for seeing other countries. That’s pretty cool. Great job 👍
oh yes, I am so grateful!
You are a true inspiration. Has it sunk in yet that you are a World Elite? Your fans are happy that you didn't die. Great job, Allie 🙂👍
haha we ALL are happy that I didn't die!
@@allie_ostrander The organizers too becuase that would have been a lot of paperwork for them, and no one likes perperwork. 🤪
Your trail running sponsorship is well deserved!

You're famous Allie! Love your Superfan at 9:57!

it was definitely full of different challenges and emotions!

"kind of winged it" should be the headline of this season lol
Inspiring effort in a beautiful place!
epic you travelled to europe to somewhere new and emptied the tank in the race, awesome!
emptied the tank for sure!
What an amazing finish for your first professional season! Proud of you girl!
thank you!
