The "Mandarin" is pretty central to early Iron Man comics. His first appearances were during the Vietnam war and he spent a lot of time fighting either Russian or Chinese super villians. One of whom was the Mandarin, who has ten alien rings on his fingers that do different things. Like create light or darkness, fire blasts or ice and even illusions. For comic fans the ten rings always felt like a comic reference that was both central to the Tony Stark story and a sign we would be getting a Mandarin. Kinda like Bucky in the Captain America trilogy. You don't know he's important to the Captain America story unless you're a nerd, in which case you're excited to see what happens. What's impressive is the ten rings have been throughout Marvel movies even after Iron Man 3. While Hail to the King hints that there's a real person, it's been a bit of a let down. That this movie managed to reinvent the rings, use them in an entirely new way and competely change who the "Mandarin" is and make it work? My mind is still blown. It's a such a great movie that's also an amazing comic book adaptation.
I experienced Shang Chi at an IMAX screening and it is definitely and incredible MCU film! The ancient lore of this film is fascinating, with the ten rings, the ancient world, and the fell beasts that everyone fought against. Watching this film, I got serious Dragon Ball vibes from it(especially when Shang Chi rode on the back of the dragon) and it made my movie experience all the more enjoyable! Can’t wait to see how this ties into the next part of the MCU.😁

Edit: This should be followed by a "I'm right here, in front of you, yet you only listen to the whispering of a ghost" or something along those lines. Something a little less condescending but still sells the main idea since it would show just how blind the father has become and how he forgot what was really important in order to grasp at straws
(At 25:42) I know I just realized the actress that plays "Nan" (Michelle Yoshi?), this is her second appearance playing a different character on the MCU. The first one was at the post credits and at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Particularly the woman in green who ALMOST look like Hela from Thor Ragnarok, only Asian. Haha 32:46 it's so funny when you're trying to quickly plug stuff! Really liked this movie so we'll see where it goes from here. 😁🤟🏾
I saw Shang-Chi in the movie theater (3D) and boy was that an experience! I really loved it. The action really surprised me because it was super raw and hat so many long ass shots. In the mcu I had only seen that in Deadpool and I really hope it's gonna be like this for phase 5 in general. Besides that the humor is stellar and I don't even think I need to talk about Wenwu.
Katy and Shang-Chi are Bestie goals too and I honestly hope they don't become a couple. They have awesome chemistry and it would work but we need some opposite sex friendships in movies honestly.
I rewatched this movie as soon as it was released on Disney+ and it's definitely my favorite marvel movie now.
This movie absolutely does my heart in. I loved it and can't wait for more. The potential to include other creatures and legends of Chinese/Asian mythology is all right there ready to go. And best of all, Awkwafina has the ability to make me laugh and cry at the same time. lol
I like how you named Raya and the Last Dragon in HD 4K
9:05 I'm guessing he took the necklace here.. coz when he jumps u can clearly see that the necklace is Missing.. btw love ur reactions so far u never disappoint ❤️
I missed this one in theaters unfortunately, and saw both Black Widow and Eternals before this. As much as I wanted to like this movies, Shang Chi just blows both of them out of the water. I really liked this movie and can't wait to see more of these characters.
I recommend listening to the soundtrack for the film. Most of the songs were played throughout the movie. Record label 88 Rising brought in a number of their musicians to make an album that's absolutely fire!!!
One of my favorite MCU movies easily. It was so good. The martial arts in this movie was really well done. Reminded me of all those movies by Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee I watched
Finally! I've been waiting for you to react to this movie 🥰🥰
Here it is
I believe the bus scene was the last thing they filmed.
you're literally watching the movie _backwards_
I literally just finished watching it as you posted this lol
Am I the only one who Love Trevor and Morris😂😂
Yeah. It is Definitely One of the Top 5 MCU Movies. Way Better than Black Widow and Eternals
Awesome reaction 👍🙂 now I wonder how many people noticed, or maybe I'm wrong, that the beast Wong was fighting in the cage was the abomination from the hulk movie...
Damn I’m not even ten mins in, have to say the editing is great in this reaction. I had such a blast seeing this in the theater and this video is putting me right back in that feeling. The entire cast kills it in this movie, I think awkwafina’s character is my favorite tho
I Love Your Videos, I Watch Them Everyday, Keep Doing What You're Doing. Keep Up The Good Work.
Finally! A shangchi reaction yaaaaa
Best superhero movie of all time!!!!! Enjoyed your reaction man!! 👊💪
This is an amazing movie , when I watching it for the first time I am forgot this is an marvel this is an another masterpiece movie from marvel and always love your reaction ❤ .
Yeah the guy Wu was fighting is in fact abomination. The same guy from Incredible Hulk if his name is anything to go by. I don't know how they're going to explain his more fish like appearance, but I assume he escaped during The Blip.
This is actually my favorite marvel movie of all time
Choose
A : Avengers Endgame
B : Avengers Infinity War
C : Avengers Age of Ultron
D : Thor Ragnarok
I didn't expect this movie to be this good for some reason.. the action scenes blew my mind.. they are soo cool I love them.. they make me wanna learn Kung fu 😅
Crazy Rich Asians soon?! Yes!!! One of my faves!
yayyyy love this movie
Shang Chi is definitely my 2nd favourite MCU Movie
Both Awkwafina and Michelle Yeoh were in Crazy Rich Asians!
i love the song 《Hotel California》
I wanted hear an origin of the rings. Also I waited they would be more powerful like in a comics.
NOOOOOO the BMW i8!!! 😭😭😭
I love Xianxia/wuxia so watching ShangChi was a soo fun. The fighting style and even the scenes where you kind of see the cables that hold them when they're in the air, the slow motion, and the beautiful soundtrack. Kust in style, like the fight scene between his mother and father are having at the beginning😅
This movie was excellent and so much fun. I only wish there was a scene at the end where Shang-Chi calks Katy and she said call me Ruiwen.
Going to watch this later today after I watch the actual film!!
Shang Chi was a fun film to be honest, not the best MCU movie ever, but still very fun 8/10
I guess 8/10 is a great rate for the movie.
@@KennesuBakkuro I enjoyed the movie very much, the third and final act with the CGI dragons was way overdone and the weakest part but still enjoyable movie
@@justsomeguywholovesberserk6375 anyways why does the father need to die, like a I can't even say it, he's such a good character.
@@KennesuBakkuro Well someone had to be held accountable for releasing a dangerous creature, and even if he is a great character, he did cause many deaths
I’ve seen this movie 2 times at the theaters 2 months ago and I liked it.
I love this kinds of movies- 👁️👄👁️
Since some took place in San Francisco i was expecting Paul Rudd....Ghostbusting. Also i forgot to buy duck when I was last there. They sh*t gets crowded
This movie is so good and fun fact my mom works in macau and I went there :)
Young boy Shang-Chi … he’s so cute
