Dale actually has written a few books. Although I haven’t been able to read any of them myself to see if any of them are Actually about his own experiences in Vietnam as a correspondent. One of them might well be. I’ve seen that one of them was actually written about the movie platoon and how making the movie went. I can’t remember the name of the book though. But if you look it up you can find them quite easily I imagine. Hope this helps even a little bit
“Run between the raindrops” And “Conduct unbecoming” Is the 2 major ones that I seen. I’m actually glad I came across this comment because I woukd actually like to find and read them myself. Thanks for the comment
He has a few scenes. The underworld saying “ your weird Rhah” then the villiage. Of course a bigger scene in a deleted scene. He talks about getting letters from his sister
Yes. He is a Vietnam vet, who trains actors through bootcamp to make them act realistic. He did this for Band of Brothers, Saving private Ryan. And it started with Platoon. You might notice him playing Devil's advocate in Saving Private Ryan against sending soldiers in after Ryan. He also was in Platoon as the base commander.
His name is Dale Dye. He was a Marine in Vietnam himself. Pretty decent actor as well in these military movies I think. I think he should have had some more prominent parts in some of them.
Nope. He played Colonel Sink, commander of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. In charge of Easy Company was Captain Sobel, played by David Schwimmer.
The Captain should write a book about all of his film experiences.

I never understand why there were never a longer version released, It is a great movie.
Some says base on true story,
But I can say this is base on Oliver Stone's real experience story. 😢
TOO BAD A LOT OF JOHNNY DEPP'S STUFF WAS CUT_ THEY SAID IT WAS AMAZING.
Love this guy in Casualties of War with Michael J Fox. Very good Nam movie.

Jigged School With My Best 2 Mates 2 See This Movie💀13 Made Us Grow Up Quick...
Barnes was working for the f. B. I. He's probably
C i a by right now.
In vietnam he was an enlisted man. He wasnt an officer till a little while later
He worked himself up through the ranks, from Corporal to Captain.
I was under the impression he was a combat correspondent for the USMC at Hue?
Johnny Depp wasn’t on film 8 seconds.
He has a few more. The underworld scene and the village. He has a bigger scene in a deleted scene Love and Hate
He's not 59
Yea not shit, that link is to a different video
And the Republicans demonized him for it. Platoon was the best Vietnam movie I ever saw.
