I love how significant this song is to the movie. In English, it's roughly a story about a bird who is trying to run away from an arrow without realizing the arrow is attached to the bird's wing. It's like, how human-kind (and namely the GeneCo Prez) is trying so hard to run away from Death without ever realizing how close Death is to them. Like the bird cannot escape the arrow attached to it, Death has such a hold on these humans that it becomes inescapable.

At the line "Come take these eyes. I would rather be blind." I love her little sneer she throws at Rotti, and then her huge grin after she rips out her eyes.

She looks so happy when she takes out her eyes, like she's finally free for the first time ever. Its like she revelled in the fact that she didn't have to see through the geneco eyes because she didn't have to see at all to see how beautiful life is. Sad that the happiest she looked was right before everything was ripped from her

Mag was my favorite character by far. She's easily one of the best acted in the whole show, but she's also so tragic and strong. I love her so much. She gives me the same vibes Sirius Black does. The loving godparent her kid never got to know, and saved her anyway.

This is kind of the only decent scene in the movie. When I watched the movie originally, I was wondering why they didn't have more music and scenes like this. But watching this scene again, even this scene falls into the pretentiousness of the rest of the movie. I wanted to like this movie so bad, but I suppose you can call me blind.... and also deaf mag... because I'd rather be blind... and also deaf than watch this terrible movie again.
