Test driving the kei truck with "coldish air intake" and motorcycle muffler...its LOUD!

- Cold start, idle, test drive and CRACKLES in the Daihatsu Hijet after we built and installed custom intake and exhaust for it. It's super loud, might need to figure out a silencer insert.
Thanks for watching!

6:20 - MotoCheez put a supercharger on his Hijet. It's not too difficult, and he's done the difficult engineering (pulley types, pulley size, belt tensioner, blow off valve, air fuel ratio gauge). Significantly more power and it worked well with the carburetor. He installed larger jets and removed almost all of the vacuum lines that are only used for pollution stuff that probably isn't working on a 26 year old engine. No more downshifting on the hills.
this video is what made me want a kei truck
I'm so glad we could be of service!
Loud but the crackles sound 😎
im actually saving up to get a kei truck... this makes me want one even more
Happy to be a "good" influence. You won't regret it!
People here in the Philippines modify these type of Kei cars because it's cheap and it's super fun to drive because it's light
Ano pong brand ng multicab mo sir?
Wala po akong multi cab, minention ko lang po na maraming tao ang nag momodify ng mga ganito
Sounds wicked n mean🇯🇲👍🏾🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
That’s sounding real goood
Thanks!
u kinda look like bbno$
Where did you get that exhaust to buy
Amazon, generic motorcycle slip on muffler, but I had to do some fabrication for the rest of the pipe.
Any noticeable performance gains?
Definitely more throttle response when we ditched the mile of intake tubing which probably throws off the butt dyno, but it does feel like a touch more torque to me.
If anyone wants to let me use their real dyno I would 100% be willing to reinstall the stock parts to compare.
Nice! 👍
👍👍👍👍
I have a Hijet and wanted to ask if you had to tune the carburetor after the exhaust
I haven't. I should have. It's running rich right now. When I stop being lazy and adjust it I'll be sure to record the process
@@GreeceMonkeyz please, i get pretty scared seeing all the vacuum lines and also have no idea about how to deal with carbs
Haha 😄 👌👌
