A judge wrote an opinion on the case stating “there is no evidence that the arrest was the result of a complaint being filed.” This judge has unequivocally committed perjury. While the judge may be immune to criminal prosecution there is absolutely no reason for this person to either sit on a bench or to practice law.

I kinda never understood the threat of a “complaint”. It may be one of a very few tools against police misconduct but it’s just so ineffective. I mean, we often find out that police can have a pile of complaints on their record (after they get caught committing something really bad) but are still on the force. It amounts to pretty much nothing. We need better tools or that complaints actually leads to something.
The other cops who did nothing are just as guilty, and that’s the problem. They will all get on the stand and follow the script they been practicing with their union lawyers for weeks.
