We have the 2021 Thor Sequence, which is identical to the Tellaro. We love the layout and how easily the Dodge Ram Promaster drives. Both are exceptional. How, we share many of the same quality concerns that you have. Our list of issues is far longer than your 15, though.
I hit submit too soon. Our wardrobe doors fell off before our first trip due to the hinges being installed incorrectly. Hot and cold water lines were installed on the opposite side. The Pioneer monitor was installed cockeyed, and the TV is cockeyed when pulled away from the wall. The Calking could have been done by a six year old…seriously. We are working with Thor to get our issues addressed, and they seem to want to make it right. I hope that’s the case. All of our issues, including many you mentioned, could have been avoided with more training, supervision, and quality control. Overall we enjoy our new Thor Sequence, and we hope all if the issues will be rectified. Truthfully, based on the problems we know about, we’re concerned about the “invisible” issues that may become evident down the road.
I certainly love the layout too! It is one of the best in terms of functionality and openness that I have seen in any B Class RV. Unfortunately it seems that all RVs have some quality issues. I'm glad to hear that Thor is working with you to get your RV's issues resolved. Thanks for watching!
Love your reviews, very organized, very objective, and very complete. I like how you usually open and handle everything, including the bed set up. A lot of information concisely presented, and you are very pleasant. Great camera person, too. Thanks a lot for your videos!
Thank you for posting a very informative review! I have heard so much more negative feedback on Thor workmanship then positive, that I have permanently crossed them off my list of considerations. You should forward this video to the president of the company, or maybe you already have. They should see all the poor workmanship issues you’ve experienced and a video like this is much impactful then a letter listing the problems you’re having. Thanks again for your post! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Although I have not had any major issues, I agree that their workmanship definitely needs improvement. I'm glad you found this video useful. Thanks for watching!
Appreciate this video very much as we are pretty settled on a Thor sequence or tellaro. Many of these are minor to us and we'd just take care of the problem ourselves. I'm more concerned about major problems like engine, transmission, body problems. Thanks for the information as we'll be looking out for these.
Going to see a 2021 Sequence as our first RV tomorrow and very much appreciate the quality of your videos. Don’t like all your problems and the understanding others have even more. I have your list with additions when we see it. Just walked away from a C class last week after an NRVIA inspector discovered numerous problems. Discovered a C wouldn’t fit our needs like a B would anyway.
Wow... thanks so much for doing this video. I just saw this model in another video this morning and loved the floor plan. The sales videos always look so polished! I think I'll keep looking at Pleasureway.
I really did like my time with the Tellaro and even though there were some quality issues I really had fun with that RV. The important thing is to find the layout that really works for you and then conduct a very thorough PDI. Thanks for Watching!
Really enjoy see people have same pain as me :) I constantly lost bmpro connection in my 20AT the work around is force quick the app and restart the app and it would work for me. For stove have a camping lighter with you and solve the issue. Glass stove cover I still can find a good solution to make it not rattle. AC is crazy loud on my too. As for wet items I believe your rig has rack on top for like a cargo carrier which I don’t because I have the poptop so I always bring plenty of trash bag for dirty or wet stuff.
The problem with the stove is the gas regulator (easy fix) therefore gas was not getting to the burner. Also, in my likes video you will hear that we thought about using the roof rack but did not want to cover the solar panel. It is good to hear from other owners and compare notes! Thanks for the comments.
Most RVs have some minor issues and you just have to be prepared to work through them. The issues I listed did not stop me from enjoying the RV. Thanks for Watching!
You can find some great tips / mods for the Ram Pro Master RV's with the LastLineofDefense UA-cam Channel. I would have to add the Landed Gear tire swing, sell the Tule Rack and replace it with the Storage Box Option and Roof Rack as well. I would use a Yakima Bike Rack off a Wilco Offroad Swing Arm. For the Blackwater Hose the PCP pipe (DIY) option is what I would go with; it looks like you have that in order. Thank you for sharing this video...
I am so glad I just watched this video over and over and over again while I was reading the comments... The 20K I'm supposed to buy has arrived but needs to have a board for the refrigerator and the Winegard they couldn't get working has to be replaced.. so since it has been delayed I've been watching various UA-cams... I think yours is the first one that points out negative issues clearly, thanks. I also would prefer to have all my windows not being seen through at night. I would not be able to deal with a leaky sink, rattling stove top, or drawers flying open. I'm also getting a generator and I did not realize it cuts down on clearance so much. BMPRO seems great except if it don't work. I'm getting a 2023... And I'm planning on it being my only vehicle, trading in my RV and my car for it.. maybe I should just get rid of my RV and forget about traveling via RV. Is it possible that they have addressed most of these issues in the last year or two? 👀 Now I'm a bit unsure what to do. Plus I see you've already traded in for a different model line.
Sorry to hear about the issues with your potential RV, but not unexpected. Some RV manufacturers have horrible quality control and very often RVs are released to be sold with things that do not work. This is why I tell everyone to conduct a very thorough PDI and do not sign anything until you are satisfied that everything is working. Thanks for Watching!
Wow, the "quality" section was really eye opening, thanks for all the detailed observations. Seems like the manufacturers should be supplying duct tape and epoxy along with the sale given the number of items that are rapidly failing. I'm wondering if this is a sign of the times, parts sourcing issues and too-quickly assembling RVs in the COVID era? If so hope it ends soon. We need RVs that are better built and will last. What I am about to write is very sad but the truth ... It seems like quality in the RV world is very hard & expensive to come by. What we learned is that when buying a RV expect problems and learn to fix things yourself. The issues we showed are minor and I can easily fix. What would worry me more is if there were bigger issues. Thankfully our RV was built on a solid platform and the major equipment used has been proven in other RVs. Fixing door handles and buying a new speaker are minor compared to a bad drivetrain or non-working water heater.
@@Adventure-Mom Thanks for the reply. It is indeed a sad truth, and especially hard to accept in the Class B portion of the market. The B industry starts with a chassis and full frame and body, unlike the A and C market sectors that start only with a chassis and powertrain and then must build the frame and body. Yet the B segment (to me) seems to carry a disproportionate premium price relative to the other market sectors. You'd hope that the quality should also be at a premium given this pricing differential. I'm glad you were able to fix the cosmetic and minor problems that came up. And thanks for these videos! Dave
@@Adventure-Mom Hey I watched this video since we have a Tellaro with also a slew of manufacturing issues(18 or so). Now did you try claim these via your Warranty what was their response?
I could have but I did not claim them under warranty as it takes too long to get an appointment & my RV would be in the shop for weeks at my dealership. The issues I had were relatively minor and I was able to resolve most of the issues myself, so I did. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. I wanted to know more about this van from a consumer’s perspective. I do believe most ppl cover their plate prior to filming video or edit afterwards for security. Thanks very informative.
That kind of stuff annoys me so much. Seems all these manufacturers love to line their pockets but they seem to always cut corners. This is why I'm tempted to buy my own van but do my own build
I was tempted to do the same however the cost, time, and labour involved is pretty intense and it was just easier for me to buy one already built and correct the issues as they come up. Thanks for watching!
I am glad you found this useful but other manufacturers can have similar issues. Just be aware of what things to look for when you conduct your PDI. Thanks for Watching!
Thank you for the thorough walk-through and favorite 15 and least favorite 15 lists! I just put down a deposit on the Scope 18M yesterday. All things considered would you buy your Thor again knowing what you know?
The short answer is yes, I bought a 2021 Tellaro and a 2022 Sanctuary within the last year. I have walked through many RV's and seen quality issues with many of them. My attitude is that things will break and I can either go without the RV for months on end while it sits in the shop or just fix things myself and continue on camping ... I chose the latter. Thanks for Watching!
The sewer hose storage does work. You have to use a small hose about 3 inch diameter and 5’ long (10 ft. long hose cut into). The hose must be turned as it is pushed in the storage tube without the the adapters ends attached.
Yes, I had heard you could possibly buy a smaller diameter hose but would need to remove the connections. Just does not seem practical for me. Thanks for the input, keep them coming as I want to hear what others have done.
You can use this from Amazon and will fit your factory sewer storage Prest-O-Fit 1-0001 Blueline Universal Elbow Prest-O-Fit 1-0067 10' Duraform Sewer Hose Prest-O-Fit 1-0008 Blueline Clear Hose Adapter The sewer hose goes in the storage tube and the elbow and clear adapter inside RV
@@Adventure-Mom I have the Sequence 2021 20l same as your Tellaro and have similar issues like the sensors and licking water behind the toilet, both repaired by the dealer under warranty moving sensors grey and black to better position for more accurate readings.
If you would have an option: Would you buy this again or would you opt for a Mercedes Sprinter 3500? In addition: Did you notify Thor about all these problems? What was their response? I am looking to buy a 2023 model and not sure if these problems are still present! Thor offers a @ YEAR WARRANTY...DID THIS WARRANTY COVER ALL YOUR PROBLEMS?
I did enjoy my time with the Tellaro and loved the rear bath layout as the bathroom is big for a B-class RV. I never brought the RV to the dealership for repairs as they are booked solid for months so I corrected everything myself. I did sell the Tellaro and purchased another Thor product, so the answer is yes, I would purchase another Thor but it is extremely important to conduct a very thorough PDI before signing any papers. Thanks for Watching!
@@Adventure-Mom See...this is where the MAIN problem is with RV's....! Service...waiting...and not getting anything repaired/serviced/only in SEVERAL MONTHS! So who cares about WARRANTY...if they are booked solid for months in advance...and you are STUCK?
@@Adventure-Momso if you sold the Tellaro and bought another RV, which one did you buy? I want a Class B but there has to be better options with less headaches! 🤦♀️
Hi, I own the same Thor Sequence, I took it on trip for 2 weeks, and had a problem with the code88 error on the BMPro. I left my RV with the dealer to fix and trouble shoot. I wonder if you experience this problem code 88 on your BMpro control panel. Thanks for sharing.
do you think the winnebago 59k would hold up better? I keep hearing about the high quality about it. I wonder if the more money would be worth it... It's funny I see the reviews of these units and I see all kinds of defects right on the showroom floor. i had a promaster 2018, 136WB, and plenty of people have upgraded the head unit on the dash, and have overcome some problems, so... I would join the promaster forums and read though the threads, there probably is a way to stop that clock flashing but you probably have to take it to the dealer to hook it into their computer. As for the noisy AC, get a JBL charge 5 usb speaker or get two of them for stereo mode and they will be loud enough. Thanks for your great review!
Unfortunately, the quality issues go beyond Just one manufacturer and spending more money does not mean better quality. The best advice I can give you is find a layout that works for you, do a very thorough PDI, and do not accept anything that needs repair. Thanks for Watching!
The issues I pointed out were nothing major and easily corrected. I really liked the layout of the 20L as it felt very roomy and I loved the rear wet bath as it had a great amount of room. With that said I am not a big fan of the Ram ProMaster suspension and if I were to purchase another Ram ProMaster platform I would have the suspension upgraded. Thanks for Watching!
I was about ready to pull the trigger on a new Telaro but hearing about your problems with the BM Pro could be a deal breaker for me. We’re you able to get the issues with it resolved? Was it a firmware issue? If the BM Pro is a continuing issue I will probably go with the more expensive Pleasure Way Lexor FL.
Although I have had a few issues with the BMPro, in general I do like how easy it is to use and how it functions. In fact, I would buy another RV with the BMPro. Thanks for Watching!
Seems the generator under the coach gives VERY little clearance. Have you had issues hitting anything while driving? I worry about damaging the generator with it mounted under the chassis with such little clearance.
You are correct, the clearance is only 5.5 inches which concerns me as well. However, in my almost 11,000 miles of driving on all kinds of terrain I have never hit the bottom of the generator. Thanks for watching!
Were you able to fix the leaky sink? My (20K) is brand new (as of 8/2022) and the sink leaks too. Also, did you find a sewer hose that actually fits inside the provided tube? Thanks!
Unfortunately this is a common issue with the Tellaro and Sequence. I believe the issue is that water remains in the elbow of the faucet and will continue to siphon out of the faucet. I have not corrected this issue. Instead I just keep a towel on the sink cover while traveling. As for the sewer hose, I have not found anything that fits in the storage location and meets our needs. Our solution was to add a sewer holder under the chassis. We show our set-up in our set-up video. Thanks for watching!
I had the same issue with the dash flashing the incorrect date and time. Ask THOR to send you a new MAESTRO unit, and go to your local car stereo shop. THOR sent the MAESTRO unit for free, and they would have replaced it for free at an authorized dealer, but the wait was 2 1/2 months. My stereo shop fixed it for $163 in about 2 hours while i roamed the neighborhood.
That is why I have not corrected the issue ... It does not bother me enough to wait 2 months for it to get repaired. I had not thought about bringing it to a local stereo shop. Thanks for watching!
Your video has changed my mind about the van. It was one for consideration but this is not well made. I think everything you pointed out would really frustrate me.
I am glad you found the video useful. I did enjoy my time with the Tellaro, and even purchased another Thor product but I did do a very thorough PDI. Thanks for Watching!
Hello Danny, In my opinion, there are some big differences. I found that the 2021 Ram Promaster drives just fine below 60-65mph. The dodge 3.6L engine is a tried and true power plant and can return 15-18mpg. After 65 mph, the steering starts to require constant input and the engine does not have the torque (260ft-lbs) required to maintain higher speeds without downshifting. The lower torque also means it struggles more with towing and climbing steeper hills. For 2022, the Ram platform comes standard with a new 9 speed transmission and some RV manufacturers are upgrading the suspension with Sumo springs. Both of these improvements will help the Ram. The Mercedes on the other hand has a much smoother ride at higher speeds feeling tighter / precise and the v6 turbo diesel engine produces 325ft-lbs of torque which is enough to maintain higher highway speeds without constant downshifting while still returning 15-18mph. This higher torque also helps significantly while towing. However, with only 188hp, you are not going to win any street light drag races, LOL. Hope this answers your question and Thanks for Watching!
Wow, that's crummy built quality. And it's new! A year later.....what is it like? How many more quality issues? I do not understand how simple things like proper installation of hardware, including screws, is a miss here. What will this thing be like in 5 years? Yes it is beautiful inside but appearances is not all that matters......Makes me want to buy a Ram Van and customize it myself for easy repairs and accessibility/modularity inside.
Hello, they definitely do need to improve their quality control. I would love to build out my own van and customize it to my needs and preferences someday. Thank you so much for watching!
The rig itself is not hard to drive or park (especially since it has a reverse camera). So going to places with large parking spots is not an issue. The van is just as long as a Cadillac Escalade or a large truck so it will hang over normal parking spots. Thanks for Watching!
The issues that I had with my Tellaro were nothing I could not take of myself and most RV manufacturers have minor quality issues. I enjoyed my time with the Thor Tellaro and felt that the price paid was fair for the current market. However I am not a fan of the Ram Pro-master platform and therefore would be more inclined to purchase something (could be Thor) on a different platform. Thanks for Watching!
I found it interesting that you prefer generator. I own my tellaro since September 2020 and too it to few camps, private, nation and boondock some without hook up that when I realized lithium is one thing I wish I have because site without hook up always have quiet time and without generator running you can’t even use the microwave nor the ac which is pain. I really wish I have lithium but I had to choose between it and potptop can’t afford both.
@@Adventure-Mom Normally the 11KWhr battery should be enough but in worst scenario, starting the van charges the battery very quickly( in couple of videos I saw that by driving 2 miles only the battery got charged by 15% in Travato)
Yes, I seriously thought about it but was not convinced that it was worth the extra money. My opinion was that it is rather new technology, and Thor already was questionable for repairing thing ... a generator anyone can repair. I would love to give it a try, maybe on my next RV
@@liaodesign I have to decide between generator and Lithium. Need your help. Heat and hot water runs on Propane. So Lithium is only needed for Air conditioner and the Microwave. Food can be heated on Flame during quiet hours. So its only Air conditioner which is the issue during boondocking . Am I missing anything else? Can we swap the AGM batteries with Lithium? It will double the capacity( AGM can be discharged to 50% , while Lithium can go down to 10%. I am unable to justify spending 20K just for Air conditioning for couple of nights a year. Your thoughts

You don't need all this gizmos, they start off with a small van ,then cram all that unwanted junk into the space, you need a few small overhead storage cabinets,a pull out bed that doubles as a couch, a small fridge,a two burner stove .a small sink, with two 5 gal tanks in the cabinet under the sink, one for grey water, one for fresh water. A elec hook up tied into a small fusebox, two agm batteries for your 12 v DC.. All the rest of this junk you don't need, trust me..
The quality of this RV is one of the worse in the market, I went to see one at my local camping world and the tile floor had air bubbles, the table was broken and 2 windows shades where broken too and it was a brand new unit. I will never buy this coach. And the asking price crazy expensive.
It's too bad that Camping World had not fixed those visible issues before presenting it to its customers. Not that I'm defending Thor on their quality but the dealership also needs to be taken into consideration. My experience with Camping World has been atrocious. They had many children hanging out in the RV's running and jumping around unsupervised. I had even discovered that a couple of the RV toilets had been used! I have been to two La Mesa RV locations- Fort Myers and Orlando as well as Gerzeny's RV World and their RV's had been in great showing condition. Thanks for watching.
Sounds like you need to invest in some tools and a pair of scissors ✂️ lol or get out of RVing because there's no RV out there that doesn't have problems! best solution is to learn how to do maintenance 😉
Hello Wayne, the purpose of this video was to apprise others of my dislikes and issues with this particular RV. I agree that just about every RV will have issues and have done all my repairs and maintenance myself. I have posted many repair, DIY, and modification videos on my channel. Thanks for watching! 😃
So wouldn't you know it, you bought this like the good citizen you are and have lived in it 4 months and put 9,000 miles on the clock and to emphasise the bad points taken this long to show them. Oh Bad pre-buying as if it were me I'd go round the vehicle, insist on a test drive and if any niggles were shown, disregard that type for something better or accept it for a lower pricing. But then I am British/Scottish and know from experience what vehicles are meant to look and feel like when properly finished to the standard I'd expect. I have seen RV's before that were worse than this one and their owners admit, buying a new vehicle is a risky alternative that can be fixed with a trip to Home Depot and some DIY.
Kind of a unfair and rude statement, Why? you often don't notice things until you use them, especially most of the items she brings up. (FYI you must be fun at Parties)

Thanks for watching!
its a result of hiring low skilled workers to slap them together for low pay.
Nice video. I wanted to know more about this van from a consumer’s perspective.
I do believe most ppl cover their plate prior to filming video or edit afterwards for security.
Thanks very informative.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I agree that I should cover my plate but fortunately I no longer own that RV. Thanks for Watching!
Thank you for this honest review!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks - this was very helpful! This is on our shortlist of vans to buy.
Glad you found the video useful and Thanks for watching!
That kind of stuff annoys me so much. Seems all these manufacturers love to line their pockets but they seem to always cut corners. This is why I'm tempted to buy
my own van but do my own build
I was tempted to do the same however the cost, time, and labour involved is pretty intense and it was just easier for me to buy one already built and correct the issues as they come up. Thanks for watching!
Thank you sooooo much for posting, this gives me a really good idea of the quality I can expect from Thor, very helpful!
I am glad you found this useful but other manufacturers can have similar issues. Just be aware of what things to look for when you conduct your PDI. Thanks for Watching!
I enjoyed your reviews, (like & dislike). Specific and honest, very well done
Glad you like them! I know a lot of people are looking to purchase and I am hoping I can help people decide based on my experiences.
The radio requires a firmware update that the dealer can get from Thor. The early 2021 Tellaro’s were produced before it was available..
Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try when I bring it in for service.
Thanks for the likes and dislikes -- HIGHLY USEFUL!
I am glad you found it useful and Thanks for Watching!
@@Adventure-Mom It is very easy to unscrew the connections. I watched my husband. It was effortless. Give it a try. You will be glad you did.🙂
You can use this from Amazon and will fit your factory sewer storage
Prest-O-Fit 1-0001 Blueline Universal Elbow
Prest-O-Fit 1-0067 10' Duraform Sewer Hose
Prest-O-Fit 1-0008 Blueline Clear Hose Adapter
The sewer hose goes in the storage tube and the elbow and clear adapter inside RV
@@Adventure-Mom I have the Sequence 2021 20l same as your Tellaro and have similar issues like the sensors and licking water behind the toilet, both repaired by the dealer under warranty moving sensors grey and black to better position for more accurate readings.
If you would have an option:
Would you buy this again or would you opt for a Mercedes Sprinter 3500?
No, I have not experienced that particular code.
do you think the winnebago 59k would hold up better?
Great, detailed review 👍
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
Great video! but, knowing what you know now, would you purchase the Tellero again?
The issues I pointed out were nothing major and easily corrected. I really liked the layout of the 20L as it felt very roomy and I loved the rear wet bath as it had a great amount of room. With that said I am not a big fan of the Ram ProMaster suspension and if I were to purchase another Ram ProMaster platform I would have the suspension upgraded. Thanks for Watching!
@@Adventure-Mom thanks!
Good Video
Thanks for Watching!
Are those issues solved for the 2024 version? Anyone knows please let me know thanks 😅
We had it same problem 2022
Unfortunately, these types of issues seem to be common place in the RV industry, however I have noticed an improvement lately. Thanks for Watching!
This was fantastic
Hello Jason, I am glad you found it useful. Thanks for Watching!
The cost of a van camper one would think build quality would be exemplary.
I agree.
Thanks for watching!
great review
Hello, I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for watching! 🤗🌸
How does the Dodger pro master as opposed to the Mercedes?
@@Adventure-Mom thanks for your time and much valued opinion.
Did you take the rv into the dealer to get this stuff fixed?
No, I was able to take care of everything. I will leave the dealership visits for serious issues. Thanks for watching!
Great review! How difficult does this rig park in a regular spot? I'm talking about drive this for dinner at restaurants or shopping. Thanks.
The rig itself is not hard to drive or park (especially since it has a reverse camera). So going to places with large parking spots is not an issue. The van is just as long as a Cadillac Escalade or a large truck so it will hang over normal parking spots. Thanks for Watching!
@@Adventure-Mom Thanks!
Ma'am, very informative.
Would you purchase a Thor again?
Was it worth the price?
Thank you.
Can you please specify the trim of Tellaro. I know its 20L floorplan but did you buy the Lithium package on top of 20L?
No I did not purchase the lithium package, the lithium package does not have a separate generator ... and I wanted to have a generator.
Have seen wayyy too many videos showing frequent and some even major quality issues with Thor. Check out the Italian made WINGAMM!! The 540.1 is already available in the US and they have two larger models that will be here soon. Their quality puts any that Ive seen here in the US to shame...check it out!

your video is very usful!

Typical Thor product! I'm surprised the wheels didn't fall of during your drive to AZ.
We really did not have any major issues but plenty of little annoying minor issues. Thanks for Watching!
Not getting that .

You need a handy boyfriend, I volunteer.

Seriously, the build quality from Thor is so abysmal I have just ordered a Storyteller 1 month after buying a new Thor Tranquility.
Congratulations on your purchase! I hope you have a better experience with it.
