0:20 That was a very sneaky cut!
I noticed that same thing! As he goes behind the tree and jumps back out, he seems to have moved forward quite significantly. Still great acting and impeccable cinematography.
Wow good find! Took me a minute to see that🤯
also in 0:45 if you notice he was pretty far away from the edge and whenhe turned his head back and fourth the horse seemed like it moved forward sifnificantly !
Yup
This whole scene is sneaky camera work the horses are only galloping around 15mph that entire scene
I love this movie.So intense,brutal,beautiful.
I went to the movie theater alone to go see this for the first time. Man, that was awesome.
This movie is going to be INSANE!
+Odira Ononye yes! Insanely intense!
+Swatkiller546 It was phenomenal
And the Academy Award goes to Leonardo DiCaprio. Breaks Twitter.
And the Oscar goes to...BEAR!
Horse*
The camera work is fantastic.
Was a semi-Gollum-like-CGI-coop
Easily one of the best movies of the decade
I love this movie. Leo totally earned that Oscar.
This movie was pure magic.
Emmanuel "Chivo" Lubezki's third Academy Award for Best Cinematography in a row? No doubt!
He is in fact the GOAT
Not impossible and I wouldn't be too upset adds he's my favorite DP. But I'm really hoping Deakins finally wins for Sicario. I feel it's his strongest work in years.
+Rust Cohle Chivo is GOAT in Spanish literally, the GOAT
+Oscar Stegland blade runner could finally get it for Deakins. BUT it's got to be limited release before Dec. which is what I believe WB/Sony will do
Oscar Stegland I was really impressed with Deakins in Skyfall. It was visually stunning and it flows so well. Shanghai's scene was captivating and Macau's was beautiful!
This movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!
So intense
Unbelievable that he would survive that fall. What;'s he supposed to be-a Navi, Pandorian native?
I agree, The Oscar goes to Leonardo ! This is amazing film!
Mind-blowing on the silver screen !!
A truly great movie and a truly great actor!
Beautiful Cinematography! Bravo!
See the revenant at the cinema, one those films you need to watch on the big screen, brilliant film. 🐻
i love the bows in this movie. they are authentic as well as the arrows. you can see the sinew on the back of the bow of the native american who helps glass
Leo, you will get the Oscar. Don't give up hope just yet. It's the last thing to go. When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope.
Already giving a 9.5/10 just be seeing the trailer!!!!! Just Beautiful!!!
Support Leo
Can't wait to watch this film!!
My review: Stunning Visuals, Great Cinematography, Intense story, Breathe taking ( get it) and A must watch!!! Haven't seen the film but I already give it a 9.5 out of 10!!!
Inharitu you are a badass director 👏👏👏👏
Fun fact: By having PC, I got to watch this film for the first time in 2017/18 whatever it was but I was then only 13 and I had no feeling or perception.
Now, after getting 17, I re-watched it and considered it as a pure, powerful, dangerous masterpiece and I regret that I couldn't watch this in a theatre for not being eligible of my age (When this film was released, I was only 11 years old).
Porasona kor bokachoda kaje debe. Tor boyose eisb film dekhe amio onek time waste korechi..
Ese Iñarritu tiene mis respetos
Wow! This made my heart race!
Masterpiece.
***** yeah, I hope so.
Is interesting to see Alejandro's early works (especially Babel) how he used lots of cuts and angles and now Birdman and this one, using principally long takes
0:13 the ATF agent breaching my door
Pasen la película completa, y en español, por favor, es muy buena, y otras mas, este actor Leonardo de Caprio, es muy bueno, y simpático.... Gracias amigos, saludos.
me : opens a pack of chewing-gum
my friends :
movie was dope worth watching again in theaters in HD
Having the flag in TF2
can u see the hidden cut at 0:20. i love to watch those onetakes and then "wait there was a cut", skip back, 0,5 speeed....aaaah the treeee :D
My favorite part of the film
Yes!! I loved that moment. Gives me chills every single time I see it.
Great movie this in the history books 📚💜😎
What piece of the soundtrack is in here?
The best movie ı have see
holy heysoos, i can't wait to see this film
I like the way Di Caprio's character takes an Indian out with each shot he fires but the Indians miss every single time!
what is the soundtrack at the end of the video?
OMG I can´t waait 💖
what is the music used in this scene?
Intense scene but how did he shoot twice? It was the exact same pistol.
i was thinking the same thing
+Alex Nahan two pistols mang!
+jscarpa2002 Flint lock pistols don't take magazines, it's just a single shot.
+jscarpa2002 Best rethink how you say that joke then buddy, because saying that will just make people think you're an idiot.
jscarpa2002 Telling a joke in text form in itself isn't really the smartest my friend.
What a stressfull awakening - no time for the morningpaper and coffee....I would have told them to come back in an hour or so...
0:49 Looks like the 'Appaloosa' doesn't fall far from the tree.
nice
That horse is such a masochist...
He should have died like 5 times lml still great scene and escape.
A flintlock pistol firing twice without reloading?.lol
If you've seen the movie you would know he had two pistols.
there are only around 800 Arikara around present day 0__0
stuffguy666 yup ..I'm one of them..I come from a heavy bloodline of the sahnish people aka Arikara.
+brokeskull616 right on
brokeskull616 you savages
@@brokeskull616 do yourselves a favor and don't race-mix with non-Amerindians. Miscegenation destroys true diversity by ruining genetic legacy
@@toasterpastries5811 Yeah, there's bearly any pure natives left. Native people need to stop getting with white people.
Best movie to watch on acid ever.
I am 50% arikara so that’s cool my dad who is full blood introduced me to this movie
So he must have had two pistols? I didn't see him reload or switch pistols. Also I think it they were trying to kill one man they would have just snuck up and cut his throat but giving a war hoot instead of silence is more tension building
Maybe the pistol got two shots
Paul Vernier It’s a flintlock my guy
Some flintlocks had dual barrels back in the day, I think this was the case here. Not a huge stretch.
Are we ready to see Leo, Rooney Mara, Brie Larson and Sylvester Stallone holding his respective Oscars? 😭❤️
Del toro might win the supporting actor for sicario. That's what the buzz seems to be anyway.
+Pharaoh Anselmo Pretty much agree with all your picks but there were so many great supporting actor performances so I wouldn't be upset if Stallone lost.
+yourfavoritepizzaboy I think the Spotlight actors had a chance, Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo were badass and Mark Rylance in Bridge of Spies was incredible too but idk i would like to see Sylvester win
+Corey Pack maybe nod but not win :/
Pharaoh Anselmo They were great but they'd split votes. Same dilemma if Blanchett/Mara both get noms in the leading category. I want Mara to win so badly though haha.
wow
and the Oscar goes to.... the white horse. Leo please collect it for him. :)
He shot twice with his flintlock.
I always wanted to know what Leo says when he falls off the cliff!!! It's not English but WHAT DOES HE SAY???
Rake187 PUSH DOWN!! YAAAHHHH!!!! Thats what it sounds like
Is it just me or are the angles just not working ?
How could he get the horse before they got to him
Now let me just say that this is one glass the native Americans can't break.
Are we known for breaking glass or something?
+tabaaha92 Nope, but the character's name is Hugh Glass, so he made a pun with it, meaning that natives can't kill him.
AnimaMike lol well in real life back then the Arikara killed him and his group by the Mississippi territory.
I think that you people do realise that one day Leo is going to get his Oscar and that day the internet will break..
Massa
just Oscar ↑☆;-)
There was no way Glass could have escaped the onslaught , given that Arikara tribesmen archery skills are dope ! He could have been pierced by so many arrows by the time he reached edge of the cliff and plunges onto the trees.
They were on horseback and less accurate
They were trying to capture him
0:15 no recoil whatsoever?
I want to see this movie :o3 LEJIUNEEAAAA
People seriously need to shut the f#&k up about Leonardo getting Oscar. People feel like it is the most important thing about the movie and just has to mention it.
David Kriz the Oscar's are bs anyway. Big winners have been those who have had huge sponsors and host huge parties. Think of all the good actors who haven't gotten one or never will. Leo finally got it after a shitload of demands. Its really interesting to look into the truth of the Oscar's.
Calm down. People can discuss whatever they want.
@@nakedfreak1 Why would you reply to an 8 year old comment? And yeah, the talk was that unbearable at the time ...
as a teacher on the reservation where Sahnish is spoken, I'm more interested in the Arikara language...
We have a app on the store if you still are interested!
How close is it to Skidi Pawnee?
I just caught this and I’ve already watched the film Anyone catch that tomahawk throw at 0:14
Happy he won oscar.
The oscar is not that famous , leo made it famous
That was actually a slow scene for a horse chase!
They were cantering, not galloping!
♡♥♡♥
a very fast and the furious moment, let me ride this horse off this cliff i'll land it no problem
+kingdarko he just woke up to a bunch of men trying to kill him, he might be just a tad bit flustered
i just got back from watching starwars and typical yoda shows up to give me some wise words :D
Is the Revenant captured with IMAX?
It is not. But it is the first film to utilize ARRI's new camera. I forget the name, but they let the DP of this film be the first one to use it. So it's still a pretty big deal.
+Alejandro Santana Alexa 65 :)
diegarstigeratte Thanks for looking out!
+Alejandro Santana what I want to know is if that this ARRI that Chivo uses projects the dimensions of a LieMAX screen or True IMAX dimensions. Either or for great resolution. I saw this is IMAX and it was beautiful
when you belive you have a pegasus
chivo is great ......
Why are the horses of the protagonists always the slowest ones?
The Revenant makes me wish there was a RDR movie.
For me it's the other way around. The movie makes me wish there was a game based on Hugh's story
@@Eire_Aontaithe Would be nice too
The bear tripped the horse so they fall off the cliff haha silly bear 😁
He didn't see that he was heading for a cliff?
ESTA CENA , É BEM A CARA DO LOKI PAULOGRO : REAÇÃO DELE , SAI DOOOOOOOOOOIDO CORRENDO : QUANDO ENCHERGA DE LONGE MADAME ONU SUPREME MAGISTRAL DO MANTO NEGRO COM A VARINHA .
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Why were they trying to kill him after he saved Powqua?
He never reloaded
That gun was double barrel
Yakima canyon sloops victorville. Hold it at 7 race war
not a firearms expert by any means, but i do know cartridge firing weapons are a few decades off yet from when this film is supposedly set sooooo, unless that is a double barrel pistol.....or hes has two pistols....something fishy going on with that second shot....will hollywood never learn?
Relax it's double barrel
Peliculon
Pettifogger.
Please hand him over the Lady ... Please
Why don't they just sneak up on him not waking him up and encircling him?
They wake him up from a mile away making the loudest possible noises.
Also this isn't the best hiding place. Why didn't he searched for a cave?
There is a much denser forest in the background where
they couldn't have found him that easily.
He had previously been mauled by a bear so he was probably weak and exhausted. He couldn't even talk for a bit afterwards
kittypie P B But he had a horse which could have taken him to a forest or something.
kittypie He was only surrounded on one half, but not where the cliff is so he could escape.
He was surrounded, they didn't expect him to survive the fall down the cliff. It was extremely dark when he found the hiding spot and he probably couldn't see anything and you don't really wanna stumble up on a pack of wolves or something in the darkness
Slendermanfreak yea by falling off the cliff lmao
How many of you here after watching Sisu movie(2023) petrol leaking and underwater attack scene?
OSACR
How in the hell did he survive that fall? Lol
+Hazel Greene He landed in the tree. For reference: First Blood
+Hazel Greene It's really a comedy.. :D Absolutely implausible.. the whole movie..lol
+Brightaqua seriously?
That tree supposedly broke his fall without breaking every bone in his body.
0:10
How the hell did they film this?
with a camera.
If they were real Ree people, Glass wouldn't get near to the horse.
Soup n salad
Borrring. The horses weren't even in a full gallop. I prefer a good old fashion John Ford full speed chase scene with real horsemen.
go native American
Hype and millions in advertisement...actually bland and boring
Filmaco alguém aí pra conseguiu coloca no yutube
