This is the best podcast in a while. I think this kind of conversation is what the podcast should be built around, not necessarily about what festivals you’ve been doing but talking about news/topics within the festival / music space
Really enjoyed this one! Kind of disagree with your perspective on the snubbing. Unless they're running for a train or with their kids, it takes 3 seconds to shake someone's hand and be polite imo, no matter who you are.
This was my favourite podcast in ages, it really worked with the four of you. Some feedback would be to stop interrupting people when the topic moves on though!
Brilliant this one, love the laidback "what have we been up to" chat. Sorry to hear about your rushed day with the funeral Rob, saw you and Jake the day before only had enough time for a quick handshake but really appreciate you all and the work youse all put into the content
Went in July there’s nightclubs in Fremont area , I’m going in may fly in thurs home Monday morning for edc first time , been and done Vegas but edc cancelled a few times so can’t wait … enjoy the vids
the tipping situation has gotten out of hand and getting worse in the UK now too. Lots of places add a service charge to bills automatically which you have to then ask to remove. I dont like that at all. I also find it unfair because theres loads of services you don't tip but are doing a hard and under appreciated job like do you tip nurses? do you tip bin collectors? Do you tip teachers? So why should i tip someone whos carried me a plate of food. Its not like they're doing anything extraordinary beyond what their wages are paying. i hada housemate who was a waitress, after tips, earning more per hour than a nurse who had peoples lives in their hands not peoples food. ANYWAY thats my rant over 😂😂
Regarding tips: Be pissed off with your employer not the customer. Also electronic tipping is another tax benefit for your employer not you. If you are employed in a role where tipping is now the norm, fight it. Don’t be passive. It has started really sneaking in and the only benefactors are the big cat’s, just another tax on you. DO NOT PAY TIPS AS A CUSTOMER, DO NOT ACCEPT TIPS AS AN EMPLOYEE.
Right, tipping culture in America from an American who's been in the service industry their whole life and loves your channel. Tipping is so necessary in our lives. People who add the tip after you've walked away are dicks, and that's illegal. But our living wage and our cost of living as Americans is not the same in the UK, it just isn't. Please remember we are not making a living wage; we are making a minimum wage, and we do not make enough in our minimum wage to pay our bills. You do not have to, but please know it really, really, really makes a difference. Some of us are dicks, and I'm really sorry about that. But most of us are doing our best and really trying to survive out here. :) Anyway, love you guys and can't wait to see where you're off to next.
honestly LOVED wwwy and i would love to go again but spending £2.5k+ for four days in vegas is just..... not doable. if they moved the festival site to somewhere else in the states i'd justify it easier. this year's line-up has a lot more post-hardcore and metalcore bands so they're expanding but.... it's a LOT of money.
unless you're crazy about the bands, i feel that WWWY Festival Grounds in Vegas can be un-atmospheric. it's just plain concrete & flat (feels like an open car park) Meanwhile when you go to festivals in California, they always looked/felt better ☀
As an american i whole heartedly agree that we should get rid of tipping, also I would love to see you go back to WWWY with everyone and have a Vegas vlog
The only thing that’s a snooze fest is this Microsoft teams meeting podcast. You’re losing the die hards rapidly so please improve before it’s too late. 5 mins in and I’ve already had enough. No hate because I am one of these die hards so please take it as constructive criticism but even I struggle to watch/listen to the poddy these days.
@@HandleH2000 Your comment suggests you know all the 'die hards' and they're all tuning out of the pod. I don't know what qualifies you to be a die hard but I've been watching and listening to TPD's content for a few years and you don't speak for me at all. Ben has been giving us consistent pods for the last few months and I look forward to them each week. Their content is a life line for me as I am too sick to get out or even chat to my friends at the moment. By all means speak for yourself but don't make yourself the assigned voice of everyone else
@@Polarised_perplexed the numbers speak for themselves. I’m sorry to hear about your situation, it’s fairly similar to mine. I look forward to the podcasts but there is no denying that that there is huge room for improvement. It would be a shame to see it ran into the ground, especially while they all have more free time compared to the summer. I’m a fan, I wouldn’t leave a critical comment if I didn’t care.
@HandleH2000 The problem is your criticism isn't constructive. You must know what you want from the podcast so maybe try making some suggestions instead of knocking the host and the pod itself. Also don't make the assumption that because there aren't as many vids on the main channel they aren't busy. The only people working full time on the channel are Rob and Jake the rest of the team have full time jobs, but I'm sure as a 'die hard' you know that. An incredible amount of work and planning goes into everything they do and they really care about their fans and doing the best for them.
oi oiiii - just hit half a million listeners on the pod! thanks so much everyone for the continued love and support

absolutely love the pod, the random topics are amazing and since I'm an internet and technology nerd it's usually perfect for me.

Thank you for another great pod. I really like these free flow conversations and the guest appearance of Dan's arse was a highlight 😂😂😂
Loved this one, I enjoy chatty pods 🙌🏻
You guys should consider ACL Festival in Austin ( usually in October ).

We tip here cause no one can afford health care lol
Why's Rob pure slating WWWY and people going repeatedly when the guy on the sofa next to him has been 4 times and he has been 3 times lol
"cut all that out" :p

Yeah Boyeeeeeeeee
what's with the pigeon noises at 1:03:05 😂
Incredibly privileged take about the bus ticket hike, will affect a lot of people. Still Las Vegas is boring amirtie?!

or, if they want to try Sick New World in Vegas next year (with Linkin Park on the list)

What do you want them to do, have a podcast from the top of the building?
@@carlf.9035not at all. The “host” either needs to call it a day or urgently needs some support from the other members
