the question is: Why isn´t this the stock version?? Why put mirrors in the doors if you are not able to remove it without all this work?
Just installed this. Adds a really nice touch of black to the car. And the look of the stock mirror with the functionality intact is just superb. Easy to install and the whole assembly is well made. Can’t wait to take my doors off now. Will have to test for sound and shake though on the highway
Great video. Took less than 3 hours for an old fat guy to do. Good instructions, it went together just like you said it would. The only change I would suggest it mentioning that the long tube on the face plate should be down when it goes on the door.

I just installed the drivers side. The only issue I ran into was the filler plate didn’t like the 40mm bolts. Any suggestions?

How the hell did u run the new wire through the door to the hole on the inside???
Not necessary for these mirrors however I had the same problem installing a regular mirror. I used a wire hanger to claw back on the inside. For everyone out there make sure to tie a string or something to the old cable before pulling and save some time By the way awesome video.
Cannot route new wire harness from outside under body into engine block on 18 JK Rubi Recon. Suggestions w/o splicing?

Has anyone else had problems with the mirror hitting the door? My passenger side the door hits the mirror instead of the stopper..
I’m having the same issue now. I’ve torn the mirror down as far as I could and can’t find anyway to adjust it. If I could tweak the hinge about 1/4 inch clockwise it would fix the issue but I haven’t found any videos on how to get inside of the actual mirror.
Michael Campbell so what I realized is that the mirror had play vertically ie it would move up and down instead of being sturdy. I took one piece off and tightened it and that fixed it. I’d suggest comparing your good mirror against your bad one and then tighten the piece from factory that was more or less tight (since they come preassembled)
I was able to loosen the two torx bolts a little, and lift the mirror a bit while tightening them back down, and that fixed it for me.
JL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Please tell me these are coming for the JL.
They moved to power mirror switch to the drivers door on the JL so you wouldn't be able to control them with the doors off like on the JK. That being said I still hope they come on the JL . I don't know why Jeep doesn't do this from the factory.

Nice, but they cost $420. Hard to believe but all Jeep owners aren’t millionaires. Make a kit with just the brackets for us commoners. Thanks.
