Wim van Dullemen wrote the most important book on "The Gurdjieff Movements: A Communication of Ancient Wisdom" www.amazon.com/Gurdjieff-Movements-Communication-Ancient-Wisdom/dp/1942493347
Wonderful to see the Movements at such a deep and accomplished level. But it’s a great pity about the incoherent and restless camera work which almost ruined this for me. X
Surely, the purpose of the spinning around was originally to enter altered states of consciousness, as the Sufi spinning. This is just dancing in a compliant way.
The music has been unfortunately popularised, but If the participants are trying at least to be aware of themselves while doing the movements then it would have some purpose. Original material can be seen here: Gurdjieff in Armenia Documentary Film ua-cam.com/video/6eXZScF26Dc/v-deo.html

Wonderful memories from Work Days at The Barn as we worked on the grounds hearing Peter or Carolyn play while movements practice went on inside….💕
Exquisite and moving. Thank you for sharing this.
Exemplary manifestation of some of the Movements, offering a very real taste of the Work
this would be cool to see from above.

Highest Sacred Dance Art with haunting music at the end1 WHoa. Viva Gurdjeff!
Looks like impossible for me !
Are the names of the Movements presented known and, probably, could be posted here?

Seems like you have no clue what the Movements are about. Doing the Movements sends you to other dimensions and spaces. It´s better than any drug!
