Good to see your mum in this week's vlog ... Great sunset. Good the girls are finished brooding. Let's all wish mum a good operation and a speedy recovery..
Bless your heart ❤ I’m so proud of you for all the work you accomplished last week. Can’t wait to see you and your mother together at the plot again. Won’t be long.
Love your broad beans on toast recipe. If anyone hasn't tried it it is a must. Sunset and a pint, how nice. Hope the hip op goes well and your Mum is soon loving life on the allotment again. Have a great week.
Great update Jessie , lovely to see your mum , as I write this I'm hoping all has gone well for your mum and her operation , I am sending her my best wishes , lovely to see you planting Chard I have planted Rhubarb chard too first time for me and its doing really well and I wouldn't have tried it if wasn't for you , finally your broad bean Rissotto looked wonderful , keep up the good work 👍 x
Lily has lost her furry winter coat and the hens look great. Everything looks wonderful Jess. Best of luck to mum for a good surgery and speedy recovery. xo
Good luck on the sugery, hope your mom is able to dance on the allotment again soon. Massive thank you for your beautifull video. I needed that badly this week. Lots of love from Belgium xx
Hi Jess, thankyou for that lovely sunset footage, very thoughtful to film it for us. You are clearly missing your mum at the plot, I hope her surgery goes well.
Love the sunset on the Terrace and a pint at the Roebuck, made me so homesick., have downed many a pint there myself. Left Richmond for Scotland 5 years ago having lived not far from your allotment in Queen's Road for 50+ years. Had an allotment on your site many, many years ago so know exactly where you are. Envious of your sun, here it's been wet and windy for weeks!! Plants all weeks behind yours but I still love watching your posts a little taste of 'home'. Hope all goes well for mum.
So glad to see your mum. Wishing her the speediest of recoveries so she can get back in the garden again; even if it is just to sit & feel the sunshine on her face. EJK from 🇺🇸
Massive luck with the surgery for Mum. 🥰 You are missing your plot buddy and will be glad to have her back. I’m three weeks from my first hip surgery, next one in September, then knee early spring! I’ve not had any pain in my new hip since it was done, marvellous! Can’t wait to get the other joints done and get up and running again. I’ve been able to visit the allotment with hubby and “supervise” the planting of leeks and the sowing of beans and courgettes in the polytunnel. Bit late but whatever we get this year is a bonus as hubby works full time and has taken on the role of chicken carer too! Love your videos and fingers crossed that everything goes ahead as planned and quick recovery. Xx
Jessie, what a lovely video. This might be one of my favorites! You got some serious work done. All the best to your mom, it was great to see her, praying for a complete and quick recovery. All the best, Audrey.

Another great vlog and good to see your mum again ♡♡ I started harvesting bush beans today since my peas are on their way out for now . Pole beans are still growing 👍 I made an organic vegetable stew for supper from my gardens and loving growing my own produce
Hi Jess. Hi Mum!!! Wishing that everything will go smoothly with the hip and please please take it easy after the surgery at your own pace. I've fractured my backbone from climbing a rambutan tree. My mum too (mum said she was being a squirrel - at 76!! 🤦🏻♀️) Great job at the garden!! Take care! See you next week!
Was very good to see your mom . You won't be able to keep up with her after the surgery is done. Please tell her she is in my prayers. Good to see you as well Jess. I so look forward to your videos on Tuesday. I can't miss the two prettiest gardeners on UA-cam 😀 . Please have a magnificent week and God Bless to you both.

Thankyou Jessie for another magical video. I hope that your mum’s hip replacement is successful and that she gets back to her normal self very soon. xx
Looks like fabulous week with good food and the usual characters. Here is to hoping your mum has an easy and fast recovery! You can try to keep cats out of planted beds by planting sticks (or chopsticks or forks) in the bed. It doesn't have to be too many. Just enough so kitteh cannot lie down easily. But then again, maybe Lil deserves a few plant sacrifices.
At last back online after iPad failure😱great to see your vlog and so many veggies going into the ground…is spurring me on to finish getting mine out….and good luck with the Jinxy beans…glad they have germinated well…😀Jinxy
My family loves loves broad beans AKA Fava beans we continue my hubbies Dad’s memory by growing them. I’ve heard of people growing lambs ear for TP in an emergency :) one of the raised beds I acquired this year I noticed it has club root and was going to try the line also. When I pulled my beets up it had those narly bumpy roots good luck
So lovely watching you podding those beans with your mum. Good luck with the op! Glad the girlies have stopped being broody. More eggs now! 😊 Lovely vlog 👍 Cheers Jessie 🥂xx

Thank you for the solstice clip and Best Wishes to Mum for new hip op. Great vlog all around too.
i use hop twine for my tomatoes which is much stronger than jute but it is a big rougher in texture and much thicker but i can reuse it for several seasons. I have to say that the bottom bit that i burrow under the plant i make from paracord so that it won't rot and cause me problems.
Beautiful rosy Lady.
Happy Solstice Jessie!
Best to mom for surgery.. it really works. Pea moth arrived at mine.. picked up a squiggler as I was prepping peas for freezer. Must be turning buddhist.. put it out on pea shells in garden to live another day. Lily scratching a lot .. fleas from the foxes and badgers?? What do you put in after pots? Just lifted and ground is parched so bit of manure, water and then what?? ...looks lovely.. love richmond. Try Forest Hill or Crystal P.. lovely too.... beer's ok....
Jessie good wishes to your mum. As you know from a previous post im in New Zealand but i am coming home to wales and my new partner is keen to have an allotment. Its a long story but im looking forward to your vlogs in the future and being in real time for once instead of the opposite season!
Beautiful sunset Jessie. Thanks for sharing. Just as I was thinking I’d have to ask you to do a video of how you make your broad bean risotto, there it was! . It looks delish. All the very best “mom” with the surgery. We miss you at the allotment. Thanks for another great video Jessie.

That was just a glorious sunset Jessie, thank you.
I've got so much to plant out it's ridiculous, I lost ten strips of brassicas because I put them under a net to get fresh air and forgot them. Crisp and dry now.
Nice looking rissotto xx
Jessie I think you need to get yourself a pergola for some shade in the day! I was researching making pergolas today when I should have been working, I want to try building one for my plot eventually. Also I recommend a chard variety called Flamingo Pink, it's a bright fuschia pink chard which looks incredible.
Looks like you caught up Jessie, well done ♥️
Just think....1200 years ago the Vikings could have been on the river for a little adventures....😃.....that's a massive list....does your cat just stay there at the allotment?
Love it
It just refuses to rain, they forecast it all afternoon and we get a ten minute shower that doesn't penetrate. Thre or four times now
Best of luck with the hip op xx
Jessie I'm so far behind I'm meeting myself on the way back hahaha! and I'm going to Cornwall for 6 days at the end of next week so I'll be even more behind. Wishing your Mum the very best for her op, she'll be like the Bionic Woman when she comes back "they can rebuild her"!! But seriously sending much love and hugs to her. Lovely to see her again. Cant wait until she's back on the allotment with you. Harvested my garlic and onions. Pleased with the result and my cabbages were ok. My peas are trying to grow!! Cant wait for your next video.
That is hilarious! You're probably doing much better than me. With our tropical climate, one would think I would achieved so much and yet I get so little done. Especially now that I put just two hours or so daily into gardening cause most of everything have to start from the beginning with a hoe. Ugh.. 😅
