My mom makes it the same way, except she adds a can of El Pato sauce instead of the chipotle and adobo sauce. I make it anytime I get homesick, it’s 100% comfort food. Thank you for sharing, yours looks delicious.

I was super disappointed that the one video I wanted to follow didn't have an actual recipe on it but I tried to follow as good as I could and I have to admit what I could follow seriously made this the best picadillo I've ever had and I'M MEXICAN 🤣. Hi, like Jacqueline, my ears also perked up when you said "Chicago". I make my picadillo almost like you. My daughter liked it very dry but I like mine a little soupy like yours. I also shop at Pete's. The funniest thing is that I cut up my veggies just like you, especially the potatoes. I really like that pan you are using. I am needing to get a new deep pan so I am going to look for one like that to add to my collection.

I really wanted to try this recipe but the ingredients aren’t in the list and I’m in a rush with my two year old right now to the grocery store so I have to try someone else’s recipe of this meal. Really wanted to try this one though.

Sorry girl! I totally understand. I'm a busy twin mom and usually don't even measure my ingredients... so having time to film and edit and post is about all I can do. Once my girls are in kindergarten I'll get back to uploading written instructions on a site. But for now this is my best! Besos!

In at 2:52, when I home cook something- I don't add something that turns it into processed food - anything with high sodium, Knorr, once you do that, might as well get something out of The frozen food section. Regarding the beef additive. ❤️ya.

It is traditionally used in a lot of Mexican cooking... but you can substitute it for any type of salt that you like 😘.

Omg these people are just so fkn rude! If you don't like shit like that then don't fucking add it. You don't need to be telling her how to cook if you know so much because otherwise you wouldn't be looking up recipes here.
