My grandmother is 98 and she was very vital until the past few years. In her eighties she started writing poetry. She produced hundreds of poignant poems reflecting on her life, our lives, time passing, and random things like kitchen utensils. She has painted amazing landscapes all of her life and produced the bulk of her paintings between age 60 and 90. One person's 75 is not the same as another.

Saw the director’s cut and it felt more like trying to expose whats out there and how naivety combined with emotional trauma leads one to be vulnerable to such cults. The simple minded and shallow characters who are also phd candidates being led into such a situation seemed to be pointing to the empty shell that originates behind those that will one day be the future elders of western academia and what’s likely to have occurred with those in the “elite” academic circles of the last century in coordination with the various “secret societies” and their own similarly themed rituals. I personally think expository media on such topics gets conflated with those of the initiation variety like the pop music videos and Netflix shows like Sabrina.

There is a conversation worth having on distinguishing between art being used as warning against something versus being used to promote something. Perhaps it would then be necessary to view the film within the current socio-political and cultural context.
Nobody sacrifices humans or animals in modern paganism lmao. I have never met anybody who does that. Depending on the culture,historical "Paganism" can mean anything not Christian. So your looking at hundreds of human cultures some of which delt with human sacrifice. But most didn't.

Before I was even halfway through this vid, I couldn’t help but be eerily reminded of the Georgia Guidestones (leave room for nature...maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature....unite humanity with a living new language...etc etc) and cremation of care ritual at Bohemian Grove. Also, when I watched this, there was a father who took his 3 kids, one of them a 13-14 year old-looking girl. During that disgusting sex scene, she closed her eyes and was clearly bothered, but the father was laughing along with the rest of the audience, oblivious to his daughters' discomfort or what was on display. Sad beyond compare.

I think it's a matter of exposing us to those forms of magic, normalizing it, making us oblivious to it, dumbing us down in general. I'm talking about the subtle foreshadowing (such as the picture at the beginning of the movie representing the end of the movie) and inclusions of the viewer (such as Christian looking over his shoulder into the camera)
I personally believe it's already had its effect on me. When I was a kid I could walk into your house and you could ask me how many coils were in your garden hose and I would probably know that's how observant I was, observant on a subconscious level. Now I can watch this movie and not recognize the things mentioned in this video until they were pointed out to me.
@Beau Lijah I worry what I expose myself to when I watch films like the dark Phoenix out of nostalgia for the X-Men cartoons I watched when I was a kid. Part of me feels like it's harmless if I know the symbolism and I have no intention of being led astray from my own beliefs. but another part of me wonders if I have already been led astray if I'm watching something that I know to be basically a magic spell cast on the viewer.
I find myself thinking that I don't subject myself to *nearly* as much as the average person and that I have a sort of resistance to any potential effects of partaking in mainstream media, due to the knowledge that I get from channels like this... Am I being naive? IDK but ultimately, I have faith that I'll be fine.
The scary thing... is that I have a desire to separate myself from a lot of worldly things such as movies and social media, but I can't. I mean I want to but I don't want to. That's a bit scary to me.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you do in life is ritualistic. It's just what form the ritual takes, and what the end-goal is to be achieved. Eating is even ritualistic, as is the way men ask out women. Even the nature of how you prepare yourself for the day, for work, for a date, for a family outing, is ritualistic, and often takes a strict pattern that develops over time and becomes a standard. To break said patterns, or change said patterns, takes the same form of psychology that deals with breaking someone out of a cultish/zealotous belief system.

Wicker Man was extreme enough! After watching the thing and its ending, I had such an unsettling feeling that there was something so wrong with this movie!
Three things to be said beyond admiration of the quality of your research and presentation as you should be known for.
1. All things heard, seen, done become part of your being. What you let in, whether from movies, music, books, or by being present is now yours to cleanse from you or keep.
2. Do nothing in a dream that you would not do in your wakefulness. You wake a smell smoke from a fire, the salt on the air of some beach-scape, smell curiously like the person you danced with/had sex with...enough to make the point. Dreams are not always dreams.
3. Negativity, even in exposition, is negativity. You two, and those seeking connections, knowledge, understanding, eventually wisdom...need to be aware of the effects that all the negatives we encounter have upon us.
Greatest common example is the good, fantastic minded, mentally acute individuals driven insane, listless, and worse in the process of catching serial killers. It's not immediate, nor perceptible as it destroys. However, a point is reached where reversal is no longer available and loss of what was is complete.
Have a way to purge the negative, learn to observe/report but not absorb, research clearing practices and find the one that works best.
Cool running shower with appropriate sound frequencies work when others aren't available.
Mental, emotional, physical, and essential health are interconnected. The essential keeps all others in balance and ease. Dis-ease comes from the core not the surface.

Love your channel! Did not expect to find a video from you guys during my deep dive on Midsommar after recently watching it for the first time.
Great videos on the Shining too. There seem to be a lot of not so obvious parallels between these two movies. Dani’s blanket based on the Overlook carpet, stumbling upon horrific scenes (Dani seeing Christian in the act - Jack seeing the hag), the intentional use of mirrors, isolated location with long car ride, creepy/ghostly characters, feelings of entrapment by the spirit of the location/community, important old book that has a demonic gravity, strong use of set design artwork, similarities in the score/sound, questionable relationship between main characters, etc.
Thank you for putting words on the extreme discomfort I felt throughout the film. Not only because we know in advance the horror playing out but also because I was totally hypnotised and glue to it until the end.
If the film succeeds in building focus/emotion from the audience then they are, in fact, a part of these rituals and contribute to its results.

Thats the point of films, to make people feel things and be interesting enough to retain attention.
This film definitely takes you along the journey of Dani, and by the end a lot of viewers almost feel like its a happy ending for Dani. But throughout the entire film the cult uses well-known stereotypical methods of attracting new members. Love bombing, rigid schedules all day, exerting until exhaustion, which all wear down the mind and makes people vulnerable. The fact that it rubs off on viewer is a testament to how good this movie is, its demonstraring how easy it is to get swept up when you're vulnerable. But then the movie ends and you go back to your life, you're not actually in a cult
My biggest pet peeve with Midsommar was that they did not have their pagan festivals right. What they did was they used symbology and terminology for Beltaine (May 1st, midpoint of Spring, beginning of Summer in Celtic culture) and applied it for the Summer Solstice festival, which was traditionally (as the name implies) celebrated as the middle of Summer. Everything is all off. It's like they're obscuring something on purpose.

You are overall right that this stuff is May 1 Beltane; however, there are variations across many cultures, and as I understand, Sweden pagans integrated it to Midsommar due to the longer winter seasons. Not sure if I have that correct, but have heard that suggested. I have definitely come across May Pole being done at Midsummer, though it is properly, of course May 1... I wonder if you have a point about everything being "off", almost like a drifting magnetic pole effect, which would in turn shift the symbolic meanings. I'll have to think about that one.

Ari Aster and the executive producer/actress Toni Colette are deeply steeped in the craft and there's no doubt in my mind about it. That movie Hereditary is spellcasting and ritual indoctrination at it's finest. I had a dream shortly after watching that movie. During that dream i heard that clicking tongue sound (which if you've seen Hereditary you'll know what i'm talking about) so very clearly which woke me up out of a dead sleep.
I'm not gonna lie i was terrified. I prayed heavily and was able to sleep shortly after. Long story short, be very careful with watching some of these movies because spiritual assault is very real.

However, if this was just "pagan nonsense" then why do we still have human and animal ritualistic sacrifices (e.g the korban)? You might think that it is nothing more than "pagan nonsense" but those who use this type of magic believe in it and the power of "intent". If this was just nonsense then why do corporations, the music and film industry and governments spend billions worldwide on using magic sigils within their currencies, advertising, marketing, films, music and product placements? It is irrelevant to those who perform this type of magic if others believe in it. The power of intent works on a subconscious level as well as a conscious level.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was thinking. That's an extremely important distinction to make - paganism and the occult have two sides - positive and negative. Obviously, ancient religions are much more difficult to trace, but in some cases it's possible and we can see mentions in their texts where the people/deities who brought those religions actually forbade human sacrifice and some even confronted others in order to save people form being sacrificed. Some thousands of years later, we can find human sacrifice practiced in those societies, a clear sign of their degeneration, but that definitely isn't what was originally taught to them. People tend to twist and degenerate the pristine message given to them. Didn't it happen in more recent times with Jesus?
With the discovery of the Nag Hammady Library and texts like the Gospel of Judas, we know that Jesus had and exoteric and an esoteric side to his teachings with the esoteric being only given to his closest students. This is essentially 'occult' knowledge as it was 'hidden' from the masses who wouldn't understand it and could potentially abuse it.
I don't think we can look one-sidedly at religions that are many thousands years old, have been twisted, have been manipulated, have been smeared, and make conclusions easily.
There is definitely a negative side to old religions where their principles were altered and abused and things went terribly wrong, but please don't put a label 'pagan' on everything as you are summing up incorrectly something that is thousands of years old and originally started out as a positive message. There is a revival of ancient religions today, but from what I have personally seen it is NOT a revival of the monsters of the past, but of old traditions that hold timeless principles. Do we expect Hollywood will be interested or will understand this? Will they want to show this?
This movie seems to be a propaganda message against the revival of the positive side of paganism, which has been gaining momentum, but also propaganda against those interested in the teachings of Jesus, being portrayed as apathetic and disinterested. And of course is a promotion of morbidity and monstrosity which Hollywood loves.
But please try to understand what people are actually reviving before you make assumptions.

The insinuation of Jesus being a human sacrifice for Christianity, Christians or all humanity, which is true, if one is to be honest with him/herself is very interesting. If there were ever a way to trigger Christians, especially fundamentalist, well, that's it😅.
The Abrahamic religions whether exoteric or esoteric are not all sunshines and rainbows and the interpretation of the text has evolved as throughout the years. Because needless to say, they all harbor practices, rituals and codes of conduct that are not in alignment with western values which people may very well entertain in their own privacy.
Personally, I'm not one for dogmatism of any kind, I still believe it wise to question everything, most of all the religious doctrines or even atheism or scientism that people were conditioned to believe while growing up. So I'm one more so for the esoteric variations of things which require more of an understanding of oneself while the exoteric is more so about upholding the tenets, proselytizing and deity worship.
Nonetheless, there are negatives to every positive and vice versa.
Just as well, it pains me to see people with good intention expose the occult (dark occult) by de-occulting it if you will, and coming to the conclusion that all occult teachings and sciences are negative, satanic or luciferian when that isn't the case.

This movie had quite an effect on me, maybe because my ancestors are from Finland/Sweden. And I lost my Mom as a teenager and almost got caught up in the Scientology cult, soon after her death. However, I find both their voices to be very soothing and having insomnia, I often times find myself falling asleep to a Truthstream Media playlist. What's weird, is that I find myself learning in my sleep as these topics enter my dreams. Because I fall asleep at different times in my playlist, I learn something new every time I sleep. On the flipside of the coin, do these topics keep me awake? I can't tell anymore. The one thing I do know for sure, is that this content is important and needs to be consumed. They do it on purpose. These two are very well trained media producers. They started with Alex Jones, which should really tell you all you need to know about them. Everything from their perfected voice inflections, deep soft cadence and self amused laughter to themselves, are meant to illicit exact responses from the viewer/listener of these videos. The drones and synth of their background music, slowly playing over slow-speed clips in various forms of zooms. All of these are tricks of the trade, a trade they pretend to 'deeply' examine, when really, they are just trying to numb serious topics into oblivion. Also, anyone on youtube with enough following to have earned compensation from views, is in constant contact with the youtube outreach content manager, or whatever they call that guy. He guides them like employees or video contractors on allowed content. Truthstream Media wouldn't be here still if they weren't approved. So.. as much as they sound like the truth, just like the movie Midsommar they are reviewing, it's actually just another mental sand trap for truth seekers. Beware, and in the end, I wouldn't fall asleep and let your unconscious mind be exposed to these kinds of videos.
