Always, SHINee's 'Replay' that we showed today is a very special song to me. The song was what became my first hope that brought me into becoming a singer... ...and the feeling felt new. Honestly, performing covers is always pressuring, because the original song already existing is perfect as it is. This time, I was in charge of Jonghyun-sunbaenim's part and was contemplating a lot on how I would perform it. Also, I tried my best... ...to relay his feelings wholeheartedly by re-watching his videos while practicing. I also wanted to sing the song similarly, but I think it's not easy to replicate such a great singer's style and feeling. As soon as we finished today's performance, I think I spent a lot of time looking up reactions to it. Thankfully, many people watched it well, and I am happy. Also, everytime I perform on stage, for some reason, I felt the fluttering feeling and happiness along with the pressure I usually feel. I think it would be nice if MOAs could also feel the same emotions I feel whenever I'm on stage while they watched us today. Thank you for giving us a lot of support and attention this year, and in 2020, we'll return with a cooler, improved image. Everyone worked hard. Thank you"

As a Shawol I don’t typically enjoy SHINee covers because no one does their songs justice cause SHINee is just that good but TXT did a really great job! My fave replay cover for sure!
Well it does mean a lot for the guy who started the song, the one who sings Jonghyun's parts (blue and white varsity jacket). This song became his inspiration to be an artist and it's when he first heard this song that he began his journey. You can see it in his eyes that he really enjoys the performance and how much the song means to him. The other 4 did a great job but that one boy (Taehyun) was practically glowing.
When the song started playing, I started tearing up a bit (I've had a really hard time listening to SHINee and Jonghyun after his passing...) and as soon as Taehyun started singing, my heart just broke entirely at just how similar his voice sounded to Jonghyun's. He did amazing. And I'm glad he put in all the effort he did.
Taehyun looks like Leetuk to me, or a mix of Jonghyun and Leetuk. TXT Heuningkai and Taehyun have a look SM artists usually have. Even Beomgyu gives me SM vibes. BigHit put an incredibly talented group, highly recommend anyone to listen to their live performance of 20cm.
@@1flash3571 That explains a lot. TXT felt fairly similar to Shinee in some songs and choreography, and I'm not even complaining. Shinee was and still is very unique and carries a unique sound. If txt were to become their successor, I wouldn't even be surprised nor disappointed. This is coming from a Shawol herself
not even top 20... the least they could is sing live, but they are using LIVE AR (Live All Recorded) and it has very obviously been touched up in the studio, as evident from the mixing/pitch correction. I mean i understand they aren't a strong group vocally but they could try a bit harder...

TXT treated the song with utmost respect giving it the most Shinee vibe they could give. The outcome is a very honest and sincere performance making the audience feel the emotion of the song and the nostalgia it brings.
I'm absolutely speechless. This performance definitely was not only rookie level, it was so much more than that and I just can't help but be proud of them. I don't regret stanning them. EVER. It's one of the best things that has ever happened in my entire life.

Txt covering replay was a dream that MOAS had and is finally here. They did so well, the best cover until now. Taehyun singing Jong's part and Yeonjun doing Taemin's dance made me so emotional.

Whew...Man, I just spent over five minutes in the restroom of my office balling my freaking eyes out. I was not prepared. I am familiar with TXT. Mainly because I am an ARMY. I absolutely love BTS. But I do have a different kind of love for SHINEE. Because before I was an ARMY, I was first and foremost a SHAWOL. SHINee was the bridge that led me to kpop in the first place! Go back ten years and in 2010 I had come across one of their music videos in my recommended feed. It was Replay. And as I watched this video for the first time, the feeling I had deep down inside was damn near indescribable. I was already listening to Jpop and J-rock beforehand but this...It felt like I had found some magical unicorn. The excitement was unreal and I remember having 'Replay' on repeat for hours at a time. After that I came across their reality show 'hello baby' and I became an instant SHAWOL. When I entered college, I took a break from kpop until late 2016. In between, I was still listening to kpop on my mp3 player but as far as looking for new talent, I had no desire to do so. Then BTS came along and swept me off my feet. But SHINee had always held a special place in my heart. This performance brought back such a huge wave of nostalgia. And I lost it as soon as Taehyun started singing Jonghyun's part. Dear god. It was almost spot on. This is the best cover of 'Replay' I've ever heard. I even went to go watch other covers of this song to remain unbiased but NONE of them invoked the number of emotions this cover did. Not even close. TXT has shouted for more of my attention and they have it now more than ever. Thank you TXT for treating this amazing song with such care and respect. Thank you for letting me go back to a time left behind. God the tears wont stop even after watching this a second time. TXT is a group to look out for. Whew...

I can totally understand how much you love SHINee because I love txt exactly the same. As a shawol for over a decade now, I am VERY VERY picky about replay covers. I basically hate most covers of SHINee’s debut cause I feel like they don’t get the tone right. BUT I will admit that this is a good cover and they did it justice. Thanks for covering my ultimate group and bringing back bittersweet memories

I'm a Moa but I think they did this cover better than Boy in luv. I think they can't quite execute the "cool" image that well yet. They suit the cute concept. In the future I hope they improve and pull off a cool concept or maybe even try a sexy concept when they are older.
taehyung is an angel to each their own! Yes this concept suits them really well but I enjoyed their bil cover too! I am actually happy they aren’t doing the hard-hitting concepts right now because they are all young and doing their own thing and establishing themselves with their own unique sound. Also a general observation: boy groups don’t need to do “sexy” concepts with loud music and harnesses to be relevant. Like it’s a choice, not a coming-of-age thing they are required to do. TXT is out here doing age-appropriate concepts without fitting into its stereotypical mould and I love it!

@@junglucy5000 that was early 2014 and 2015 when SM wasn t triggered by the growth of army and bts. The boys used to do a lot of cover back then but since 2015 the relation deteriorated from SM side. Bighit never addressed what SM did to bts or the company but bts stopped promotion arround that time on tv broadcast and bighit stayed away from the big3 .

The way they’ve been dressed (hats off to the stylists), their singing is so soothing and angelic, their visuals that never fail to stun everyone, their dancing-always on point and beautiful to watch, their stage presence as a whole is so strong. TXT a really are the full package. TXT is such a great artists. they can do all genres and oh all of them can rap, sing and dance, a versatile group indeed. Everytime they do covers they give justice to it. I dunno why this kpoppies are pressed and hate TXT without and valid reasons. They only hate TXT cuz they're from the same company as bts and that's reason why they are mad and pressed.
I never really understood what the big deal was about companies and privilege. I never really saw it as a problem. Privilege has always been in the industry for so long and no one has really made it into this big of a deal until txt. They worked hard to get into one of the biggest companies in the industry. So obviously they would have this privilege and they rightfully deserve it. This is just the way things work in kpop and it's really not that deep. Kpop stans are so obsessed with companies and they define these idols based on what company they come from rather than their actual talents, skills, and who they are as people. Looking at txt as an actual group, they seem to be a very talented well-rounded group (all 5 of them), hardworking, very respectful and kind, unproblematic and they have great music that they actually have artistic freedom in. I just don't see any reason to hate on them at all.
To be honest I dont see they have the priviledge. They grew together with BTS since BH were not big.. make their own musics.. I dont know how being under the same agency and debut as BTS hoobae considered as priviledge. They all are so talented

Well it does mean a lot for the guy who started the song, the one who sings Jonghyun's parts (blue and white varsity jacket). This song became his inspiration to be an artist and it's when he first heard this song that he began his journey. You can see it in his eyes that he really enjoys the performance and how much the song means to him. The other 4 did a great job but that one boy (Taehyun) was practically glowing.

When the song started playing, I started tearing up a bit (I've had a really hard time listening to SHINee and Jonghyun after his passing...) and as soon as Taehyun started singing, my heart just broke entirely at just how similar his voice sounded to Jonghyun's. He did amazing. And I'm glad he put in all the effort he did.
Taehyun looks like Leetuk to me, or a mix of Jonghyun and Leetuk. TXT Heuningkai and Taehyun have a look SM artists usually have. Even Beomgyu gives me SM vibes. BigHit put an incredibly talented group, highly recommend anyone to listen to their live performance of 20cm.

Whew...Man, I just spent over five minutes in the restroom of my office balling my freaking eyes out. I was not prepared. I am familiar with TXT. Mainly because I am an ARMY. I absolutely love BTS. But I do have a different kind of love for SHINEE. Because before I was an ARMY, I was first and foremost a SHAWOL. SHINee was the bridge that led me to kpop in the first place! Go back ten years and in 2010 I had come across one of their music videos in my recommended feed. It was Replay. And as I watched this video for the first time, the feeling I had deep down inside was damn near indescribable. I was already listening to Jpop and J-rock beforehand but this...It felt like I had found some magical unicorn. The excitement was unreal and I remember having 'Replay' on repeat for hours at a time. After that I came across their reality show 'hello baby' and I became an instant SHAWOL. When I entered college, I took a break from kpop until late 2016. In between, I was still listening to kpop on my mp3 player but as far as looking for new talent, I had no desire to do so. Then BTS came along and swept me off my feet. But SHINee had always held a special place in my heart. This performance brought back such a huge wave of nostalgia. And I lost it as soon as Taehyun started singing Jonghyun's part. Dear god. It was almost spot on. This is the best cover of 'Replay' I've ever heard. I even went to go watch other covers of this song to remain unbiased but NONE of them invoked the number of emotions this cover did. Not even close. TXT has shouted for more of my attention and they have it now more than ever. Thank you TXT for treating this amazing song with such care and respect. Thank you for letting me go back to a time left behind. God the tears wont stop even after watching this a second time. TXT is a group to look out for. Whew...

I'm a Moa but I think they did this cover better than Boy in luv. I think they can't quite execute the "cool" image that well yet. They suit the cute concept. In the future I hope they improve and pull off a cool concept or maybe even try a sexy concept when they are older.
taehyung is an angel to each their own! Yes this concept suits them really well but I enjoyed their bil cover too! I am actually happy they aren’t doing the hard-hitting concepts right now because they are all young and doing their own thing and establishing themselves with their own unique sound. Also a general observation: boy groups don’t need to do “sexy” concepts with loud music and harnesses to be relevant. Like it’s a choice, not a coming-of-age thing they are required to do. TXT is out here doing age-appropriate concepts without fitting into its stereotypical mould and I love it!

Bighit never addressed what SM did to bts or the company but bts stopped promotion arround that time on tv broadcast and bighit stayed away from the big3 .

Privilege has always been in the industry for so long and no one has really made it into this big of a deal until txt. They worked hard to get into one of the biggest companies in the industry. So obviously they would have this privilege and they rightfully deserve it. This is just the way things work in kpop and it's really not that deep. Kpop stans are so obsessed with companies and they define these idols based on what company they come from rather than their actual talents, skills, and who they are as people. Looking at txt as an actual group, they seem to be a very talented well-rounded group (all 5 of them), hardworking, very respectful and kind, unproblematic and they have great music that they actually have artistic freedom in. I just don't see any reason to hate on them at all.
To be honest I dont see they have the priviledge. They grew together with BTS since BH were not big.. make their own musics.. I dont know how being under the same agency and debut as BTS hoobae considered as priviledge. They all are so talented
