My favorite singer. I’ve been a Hinson fan since I was a teenager. Many try to imitate Kenny, but he had a special voice. His pitch was always spot on. He never sang the song the same way twice. He would always surprise with something that made you go “wow”. Most importantly, he sang with the anointing of the Lord. Gospel music has never been the same for me since Kenny went to heaven.

What a Christian gentleman Kenny was! He told me he was not feeling well and knew something was wrong with his breathing! Just a few weeks later we discovered he had cancer. One of the greatest talents God ever gave to humanity was Kenny Hinson. Yes, we recorded the service! What a treasure!

Sitting here with sub zero weather listening to Kenny’s old songs. I saw them in concert when I was in my 20’s. I was so saddened when I heard he had gone to heaven and left us. I mean happy he’s in heaven. Someone on here said our loss and heavens gain. No voice compares. However, in searching for his songs I ran into Mike Bowling. Very close to Kenny Hinson. RIP Kenny. We miss you.
My oh my! how we miss The Hinson's! Kenny and Ronnie both had a voice that was a God given talent. Gospel Music has not been the same. Mike Bowling sounds almost like Kenny so we are blessed to have him now in Gospel Music. I am so thankful I still have many Hinsons Vinyl Albums plus cassettes.

I've been listening to this group since 1978. They are as awesome preaching as they are singing. Kenny sounds like Merle Haggard and Ronnie preaches a house a fire. I remember back in the early 70s when a group from San Antonio came up to our church and sang their song the Lighthouse and tears were flowing down the girls face that was singing. I didn't actually discover the group till 78 though.

I was "on the field" traveling with an Evangelistic group. Several times we bumped into the Hinsons at truckstops late at night. We would be heading back home as they were too. They always remember us, which to me should have been the other way around. They finally came to our home Church. Kenny really could write and sing. I miss the traditional Christian songs that they sang. It always lifted up the Spirit of the Lod.

Don’t let Satan tell you lies! I have been through so much devastation in my life, and never thought I would still be here. I lost my 2 month old nephew the night he was in my care due to SIDS, I lost a step father to murder, I lost my sweet brother to suicide, and 8 months later my sister in law also took her life, leaving 2 small children. In 2009 my worse nightmare came true as I lost my beautiful 19 year old daughter in a tragic car wreck. I didn’t think God would allow any more devastation in my life after that, but sadly Satan don’t give up, and wants us to lose our faith. I was my daddy’s care taker, and last year I lost my sweet daddy as he bled to death in the hospital! Satan will use your weakness, and try to destroy you! Don’t ever give up, because God is always stronger!
Oh how I miss those Gospel Jubilee shows! With the Hinson Family, The Happy Goodman family, Florida Boys, Thrasher Brothers. We need more programs like that. We need Jesus back in America.
This takes me back to the 80s. What a great time for gospel music! Kenny Hinson was the greatest at southern gospel music. Still makes me cry to this day. I had the greatest church and pastor. And the best parents a boy could ask for. When I look back at my young life I realize that my life was wonderful and blessed. Thank you Jesus for singers like the Hinson family🙂

One of the best thing about Kenny Hinson is his love for our lord and if his love ones stay right they will see him again and our lord is coming soon the ones that is saved will meet him frist and the children of our Jesus that is here will meet also our Jesus but the dead in Christ will be frist when the father will say to our Jesus go get my children what a day that will be
I've been listening to this group since 1978. They are as awesome preaching as they are singing. Kenny sounds like Merle Haggard and Ronnie preaches a house a fire. I remember back in the early 70s when a group from San Antonio came up to our church and sang their song the Lighthouse and tears were flowing down the girls face that was singing. I didn't actually discover the group till 78 though.

I was "on the field" traveling with an Evangelistic group. Several times we bumped into the Hinsons at truckstops late at night. We would be heading back home as they were too. They always remember us, which to me should have been the other way around. They finally came to our home Church. Kenny really could write and sing. I miss the traditional Christian songs that they sang. It always lifted up the Spirit of the Lod.

The whole world has let me down. I long for the day that I see my brother again. I ache for it. He's there with Kenny in that choir and I want to join him. God, please, I need you more than I ever have and have never felt so forsaken. I feel like the devil has won. It's been 20 years since I've had peace. Just when I think I can breathe I'm destroyed. I'm doing it. This song was played at my brother's funeral. We recorded with his son. He was such an inspiration. When I'm at the lowest and I feel like I can't stand there's no choice, no question and God keeps imparting to me that He has it under control, I believe with all my heart He's the same God that parted the red seas so is there anything too big for my God. The Lord has lifted my spirits, even tho the night is closing in. My favorite lyrics are "his eyes see even the little sparrow fall, yet He can hold back the sea with just one hand" I feel the Lord's might in that thought. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever! He's the Lion of Judah! Hallelujah! God's will be done. I will praise Him through it all and I KNOW His design is perfect. Thank you for reminding me of what this song says. And what God says. If anyone can't feel the spirit of the Lord in this song I don't know what would do it. I'm standing, Lord. Bob Harms thank you. As a mother of 3 that is so heartbreaking to read. Since I wrote this I have had an amazing break through. It's still hard. It's still a struggle but I have an understanding that His understanding is not mine. I'm going through what I call My Exodus. But God is parting the seas and I shall see Pharoah's army no more forever. I have full trust in His plan. Keep me and my family in your prayers. 🙌
Don’t let Satan tell you lies! I have been through so much devastation in my life, and never thought I would still be here. I lost my 2 month old nephew the night he was in my care due to SIDS, I lost a step father to murder, I lost my sweet brother to suicide, and 8 months later my sister in law also took her life, leaving 2 small children. In 2009 my worse nightmare came true as I lost my beautiful 19 year old daughter in a tragic car wreck. I didn’t think God would allow any more devastation in my life after that, but sadly Satan don’t give up, and wants us to lose our faith. I was my daddy’s care taker, and last year I lost my sweet daddy as he bled to death in the hospital! Satan will use your weakness, and try to destroy you! Don’t ever give up, because God is always stronger!

Oh how I miss those Gospel Jubilee shows! With the Hinson Family, The Happy Goodman family, Florida Boys, Thrasher Brothers. We need more programs like that. We need Jesus back in America.
This takes me back to the 80s. What a great time for gospel music! Kenny Hinson was the greatest at southern gospel music. Still makes me cry to this day. I had the greatest church and pastor. And the best parents a boy could ask for. When I look back at my young life I realize that my life was wonderful and blessed. Thank you Jesus for singers like the Hinson family🙂
