Honestly courses like these are my favorite. I always seem to have more fun dealing with the different situations you never deal with on the expensive/perfect course. It makes it easier to play on a nice course after playing on one thats not taken care of. Also these lower teir places are usually cheaper and less busy. I have one by me and its always low traffic and basically my go to now. I love it.

As someone who almost exclusively plays terrible courses in Missouri I could show you some absolute tragedies here
Agreed. Missouri golfer here too and that course shines compared to some of the cow pastures passed for golf courses around here.
I'm in St Louis looking for extremely low traffic golf courses for me to take my time, by myself. Doesn't really matter how "bad" the course is. Any recommendations?

I love these videos where you guys play random courses in the Midwest where a ton of us have played before.
Play at palm valley golf course in Jacksonville Florida, the clubhouse is a double wide trailer and the greens keeper fills divots with play sand on the tee boxes.

If you are still around this area there is a super tough par 3 in st Joseph that is famous for having one of the smallest greens around

I played there this weekend and it was in great condition
My home course is just across the river from St. Louis, River Lakes. Don't know that it's this bad but it's dumpy, boring, and dirt cheap. Love that place.
I played a course recently that had a 200 yard par 3. The tee box is probably 75-100 feet elevated from the green. The worst tee box I’ve ever seen. They just had a practice mat down to tee off of lol. To be fair the people have owned it less than a year and are renovating the place.
If you end up in Louisiana you gotta try out “the reservation” in Grant Parish, makes this place look like sawgrass. I’d rather play in my backyard with a my little tykes first golf set then go back there
I’m telling you that this has nothing on Royal Oaks in Knob Noster MO. It’s the base course that has gotten worse over the years. Greens full of those mud wasps and bunkers that are just dirt some are overgrown with grass that clearly used to be a bunker. Take a 10 mile drive to warrensburg and play Mules National and it’s a night and day difference.

Let me preface by saying I haven’t played it since 07. Swope was always the goat ranch in my book. To waste a Tillinghast design with minimal money from city was always a crime to me. Best part was seeing Buck O'Neil out there when he was still on this earth.
I live in Missouri, and the first thing you learn is to hit it short, and let it take a big rubber ball bounce onto the green. No way will a Missouri green take a shot and hold it.

Having grown up in Missouri, can confirm that’s not the worst. Hometown had greens so bad they had a circle. In the circle is a one putt from there. Let me know if you want the address lol
Go play Fairview Golf Course in St. Joseph Missouri. It’s been… interesting over the last couple of years.
Come down to deer lake in Springfield it’s pretty bad too it’s a decent layout but they don’t water and the fairways are dirt a lot of the year or dormant.
Oh y’all should come to Mountain View Par 3 course in Inman, SC.
Make your way down to Boaz Alabama. Play clear creek or whippoorwill in a town called Snead right beside it. The latter course will make this course look like Augusta

Absolutely right & I totally agree! This was in Platte City, a 5-10 minute drive to Kansas City International Airport, so I don’t know that it could be called a small town anymore.
This course is looks so much more fun and better than any of the affordable courses near me

Play knob nosters course
Play Blacklick woods golf course. Because it’s a public course but the staff either treats it like a park or treats like it’s a country club. Even the kids program there is stuck up and corrupt.

If y’all are ever in the Decatur Illinois Area y’all should play Hickory Point Golf Course. Im the assistant Super there. It’s not the nicest course in the world but for a public course it’s in damn good shape. Or play Red Tail Run and make a video about how bad it is😂😂

alright the grass is not good, honest with all the sweet people. i would not mind the bad grass. with the fun holes that we watched. i would like to play there one time . if i ever visit usa. what happen to the hotdog ?
What’s crazy is that course is actually nice and a lot of fun. These guys are just playing way early in the season before everything is green. There’s 1000 courses in MO way worse. I’m assuming these guys just decided to play this one bc it’s the closest one to the Kansas City airport. It’s 100 percent not the lowest rated course by any means.
Nothing on your journey will compare to Woodbrier Golf Course. Berkeley County, West Virginia 😂👍. But it’s my home

There's no way that's the worst course in Missouri... maybe it's the worst rated because it's overpriced or something. It looked like a pretty interesting layout with decent fairways and decent greens. I'm not saying its top of the line but I would play there if the price was low enough.

The front nine is the best/worst part of that course! Who doesn’t love a dog leg 320-yard dog leg par 4 over water before back to back par 3s? Funkiest course layout I’ve ever played

Play the worst course in Kentucky, it’s only 9 holes but it is TERRIBLE. It’s called Marion golf and pool and it is awful!!
