ENFJs have a great ability to influence others with their passion, charisma and natural confidence, often times using this skill in guiding others to work together in a community. ENFJs have a tremendous capacity for introspection, for diving into their own feelings and emotions and of others, sometimes getting too caught up; having a deep sense of empathy can feel overwhelming for ENFJs.
As an ENTJ whose mother is an ENFJ, I really love you guys. The world could use more ENFJs. You're like our reflection with more empathy, personability, and emotional intelligence. You're probably my favorite fellow Myers-Briggs types, or at least one of them. Great leaders, very inspiring, and very thoughtful and considerate.

I’m an ambivert .... so.... i feel i fall between INFJ and ENFJ . I Swear this this doesn’t make sense. Since ENFJ enjoy being alone to reflect on things..What I’m realizing right now.. is that since we are such a small group...there is a lot of misconceptions about us. I think ENFJ are ambiverts...but we are more extroverted in the sense that we are great with people ...but we need time for ourselves since we value growth above everything..

I am ENFJ ! I always like to help people around me as long as there is a genuine connection. If something is going wrong, my instinct will always tell me the truth. Sometimes I refuse to believe that some people have bad intentions or do not care as much as I do and I give a second chance only to find out that I should have followed my instinct in the first place.

I'm an ENFJ, but the one thing I disagree with in this video is that we tend to build our lives around other people. Yes we require social activity, but I think that this is an exaggeration.
Totally agree with this, but for me it is hard to deny that sometimes being alone gives a sour feeling of unhealthiness.

Totally agree with you. When i was single, i used to spend loads of time with others. Now that i have a girlfriend and stable relationship, i find myself spending more time with my family and love ones rather than friends.
i totally understand what you mean, but do keep in mind that depending on how developed you are in that personality the more these traits apply to you :)
Hello fellow ENFJs. Did anyone else shape their lives as if they were the primary character in a video game? I think it’s why I served in the military, went to an Ivy League university, among other things. Just to keep the story going.
Problem is your friend group gets niche. REALLY niche. I found myself surrounded by other Ivy League educated veterans and as I’ve moved on to pursue more success I have yet to find friends locally of that caliber.
It’s lonely.

This is very true. I always somehow shaped my life as a protagonist from a show or comic book where I help people not because I want anything in return but because it's the right thing to do. The character of Superman resonates with me because he is the epitome of kindness, empathy, and strong moral values. So it's probably why I picked my job in my early 20s working at a supplement shop to now have my own Health consulting business lol
But I agree with you that it's a lonely road. Most people, at least around me, have no aspirations or goals for something bigger than themselves. They are caught up in their lives thinking only of themselves with no goals to better themselves in life, physically and mentally. I'm not trying to sound like a snob but as an ENJF, connection is important to me and I want to be around people who want to do something more and be something more but I just haven't found it. I often feel more like Henry Cavil's Superman instead of Christopher Reeve's Superman if anyone understands that reference lol
I feel like the statement ENFJ's are very connected to people is a bit trite. We seem so connected to people as people generally like us, we make them feel comfortable and positive and we genuinely like and understand people and see the best in them BUT that connection and understanding doesn't go both ways. We're not really connected to others, we just appear as if we are, it's all surface level.
The reason being our desire to put on a happy face and make others comfortable allows us to be overlooked by the other types as 'having it all together.' I feel that for this reason others don't make the effort to get to know us because we don't look like we need help or connection.
If you look at countless memes and youtube videos you can see we're the outsiders who more often than not fail to be represented accurately or at all - unlike our more rare but similar cousins the INFJ's - which is really interesting I think. Not to say there are no good representations.
I tested as an ENFJ twice and this entire comment is the most accurate description of my experiences and feelings when it comes to interacting with others.

yeah, same! i'm ENJF but my energy comes out when I'm alone. I mean I'd like to be with others and discuss anything but when i'm alone i feel like im being myself. its drag me into my own fantasy world XD
ENFJ-T here and I love being alone, but when I go out i’m extremely extroverted so I guess you can say i’m in between!

Same here. I used to be very extrovert when younger. now as I've got less time since I'm working as a teacher, prefer to be alone when leaving school to recharge my energies. School demands a lot of attention because of the constant interaction with people. Love it.
Ambiverted ENFJ here who definitely goes back and forth between being social and antisocial.
I am an ENFJ! When I am with others I feel good, but sometimes I feel the need to stay just with myself. But when I find close friends especially I would do anything for them!

As an ENFJ, I can attest to the accuracy of this video. I've always been really really good at reading people, I can tell when someone is lying or being genuine, I can always tell when someone is having a bad day. It has really allowed me to help a lot of people, but as far as the downsides..... I do tend to take on others emotions for being such a strong empath, it can be hard to know what IM actually feeling. Thankfully I have a nice support system that helps me when I don't know 💛

As an ENFJ im not that very extraverted but i always understand my friends and other people that are close to me. I always think positive ways in every problem on which others will not have a hard time working on it. I didn't expect that im ENFJ i thought that i just have a common personality 😂
So life pointers development of ENFJ personality.
- We are born usually shy avoidant thinkers.
- We are born with this light headed feeling of resilence and extreme predetermined mannerisms of intelligence.
- We can turn devious and violent within social theory pratice experiments to a point of ISTP/INFP like behavior to ESTP.
- It's seems that people attract and choose you to lead in life without even your concern to know it. They just come on give you attention and put you on your path and push you to do it.
- The reading part of life reading is forced onto us but at points we'll feel masahism state of mind be good students, reading the book with a edge away from laziness and boredom.. even for interesting books, the words can get time consuming. But we find alternative highly intellectual ways to be smart. Yes idealists abstract thinkers. :)

Yeah same, i’m an assertive ENFJ, i think we are people with not kind childhoods. Cause i didn’t have an easy childhood, divorce of my parents, death of my best friend, dropped out of uni lived in poverty in Mauritius, but now i’m in Canada and trying to pursue a career in design

I am an ENFJ---Very much so! My three careers were: Nurse, Stewardess, Humanities Professor - now that is ENFJ! One thing that is a difficulty is that we tend to look to the needs of others letting our own needs go unfulfilled. I think the "being alone" happens when we are worn out! Yet -- we derive fulfillment in meeting the needs of others.

I agree with this other than that we focus our passions and life goals on other people and social work. I personally love helping people, but I have my own passions that I look to pursue such as environmental science and love activism.

I'm an INTJ, whose close friend (if not, maybe bestfriend?) is an ENFJ. I dare to say she's the best listener I've ever encountered. She's willing to listen even from my long-term planning ideas to my sh*ttalk abt turtle's feet, idk. Despite all of that, she's still capable of giving some feedback, pointing out what is wrong, and it's always constructive. She know when she'll let me have my time alone, as much as she also needs it. We both respect each other privacy. As lovable and forgiving she is, she's also strict and visionary, that's what i like abt ENFJ.

Hi ENFJ guys, i am hard ENFJ though with also some ENFP utopia ideas and dreams, i am now on mission as every ENFJ has huge mission on fighting against psychopaths as they dont share collective values and value injustice and that makes me mad, you know when we are pushed to corners we can go into AMOK mode and fight to death even against bigger enermies. When we are being stepped on our empathy. We might sound utopian and megalomanic fanatical leaders but we try to do it for better world. So if anything happens to me, just please investigate with google, and eventually revenge me in a way.

Psychd I'm still itching about the 2% of the population thing though. Where did that figure come from? I can't be THAT rare. Although my friend in college told me that a woman asked about me...noted that I'm either REALLY smart or REALLY crazy. I think I took that as a compliment?
+eastervan1 it's not really that hard. If you think about it there are 16 types and if all were equal each type would only be 6.25% of the population. But there are roughly 3 sensorial people for one intuitive type and these where the imbalance stems for.
Psychd it's really hard for my head running on 40 hours without sleep. I think that's part of the ENFJ type as well then, right? I'm going to clear my schedule to take a nap.
