I really love Ramses' singing lines in "The Plagues", and I personally think it's fitting.
So I imagined Shamura singing this to Narinder after his betrayal, and they want to defend their siblings and the Old Faith at the same time.
I imagined this sequence after I saw Tonechan's comic about Narinder and Shamura: www.tumblr.com/tonechan/74037...

this explains it perfectly....they aren't villains in the game, they're victims just like us trying to prevent more harm
Thank you for this comment! You read my mind, and this is why I consider the plot of Cult of the Lamb one of the best, I simply love how the characters are written. Indeed, I was feeling really guilty when I was playing the game to hurt Shamura after discovering their backstory, and I wanted to say sorry to the other three. Sure they were wrong to exterminate all the sheep and the lambs, but we know their motivations and their fears. The Four Bishops are the antagonists (Edit: plus villans, my forget), Narinder is the villain
@@iasminprati yeah....hugs to them all
Well, they where also cultists...
@@RC-xl8se that's not apart off this....i knew that already
It's true. They didn't want Narinder to turn against them, and then he did. The prophecy may have cost the lambs their right to exist but it cost these four something even greater entirely. Say what you want about the old faith, but the fact remains that without it, the bishops were siblings, a family torn apart by one of their own, literally and figuratively.
THIS IS EPIC?? them holding Leshy because he's probably always been the weakest bishop 😭
And he's their sweet little brother too, I tried to identify with their dynamic as I also have a brother and a sister and I'm the oldest

Something about how Leshy is just keeled over in pain while Heket and Kalamar try to comfort him, all while they themselves are crying and in pain, really makes you realise the brutality of their wounds. They were the victims all along
Exactly! I love the complexity of their characters ❤
"Victims and the victimizers" describes a lot of characters in this game, tbh
No solo heridas físicas, también emocionales

narinder: well @#$%...
0:15 The fact that Narinder’s face is so full of hatred and rage, but is crying blood and his third eye is practically saying “I didn’t think this would happen” is such a good way of showing how he’s feeling both conflicted at the fact he’s hurt his family, but is also willing to do anything necessary to achieve his goals and that includes his own flesh and blood.

The absolute betrayal and rage on shamura's face when they say "you who we called brother" is incredible. You can feel the heartbreak and their woe rise as they realize there's no turning back and that they HAVE to do this.
Thank you very much ❤ I'm glad you noticed this, those are the feelings and emotions I wanted to Shamura express, and them making the older siblings duty, protecting family.
I wanted to focus so much in their heartbreak + rage + pain
I thought Shamura was a girl?
@@Rat-tat-two-eee3614 Shamura is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns

This animatic really showcases how painful the whole Narinder business was. They LOVED him, they did not want this. But cults are scary like that, they can fit family against family. Sham, ura crying as they walk away is, ugh, straight to the feels.
I'm glad to hear this, and to give emotions with this animatic! Thank you very much for this feedback!
Heket is such a great big sister. She had her throat cut and still cared more about Leshy than herself
She is indeed ❤ Kallamar too is a great big brother holding her and Leshy despite his ears cut off
@@iasminpratialthough Kallamar was still begging for his life to be spared and the lamb to go after Shamura
@@area52ron Still that doesn’t make him a bad brother, he was just scared, we can do and say stupid things when we are feeling a powerful emotion, like fear and anger
@@catherinemitchell8952yeah I agree and I think that also contributed to why Narinder attacked them due to him representing death and Kallamar is afraid of dying which is why Narinder doesn’t like Kallamar
The cost of betrayal must ALWAYS be worse than the act itself. If they succeed, let it haunt them. If they fail, let it be their greatest mistake.
I agree with you
“There are no Heroes and Villains, just perspective.”
Exactly!
Damn that’s deep
0:05 I love how confused and surprised Narinder looks in this frame, like he didn't expect to lash out the way he did but his confusion is quickly either hidden or replaced with anger

THIS IS SO GOOD??? It hurts even more, cause if i remember correctly, Narinder was closest with Shamura and so this is just heartbreaking.
Thank you very much 💖 you remember correctly, this is why I chase this song from the Prince of Egypt, it fits so well with Shamura, I'm glad you feel their heartbreak, this is was my goal as a storyboard artist
I also like that she's probably still able to speak coherently as before since her wound was recent rather than in game where the dementia has firmly set in from it
@@springfaux6991he has... Dear god that's so sad
@@springfaux6991in fact I was in doubt if Shamura could sing/speak after the recently wounds/mutilation (it's musical genre logic), but how did you say so, during the passing of times dementia comes harder and so the damage of the injuries
Kinda like in real life dementia is a more gradual process of forgetting and the blood maybe left their brain from the wound
Do you want to see an animatic about the Four Bishops singing "You're playing with the big boys" to the Lamb? Edit: I'm currently working on it, do you want a sneak peek?
Yes please I love this
Oh that would be awesome!
That would be cool
oh yeah this fit so well
Absolutely
Leshy sees no evil. Blinded by the love of their family, they could not bare to see it torn apart and so sacrificed their eyes. Forever to remember what once was, and only able to see the memories within.
Remember the Lamb, who saw the tragedy of the old faith, and would learn from it.
Heket speaks no evil. Silenced by the voice of love for their family, they could not bear to speak against them and so sacrificed their throat and voice. Forever to stay silent against the tragedies, and never raise a cry again.
Remember the lamb, who spoke with the Bishops of the old faith, and would learn from it.
Kallamar hears no evil. Blinded by the loving words of their family, they could not bear to hear the pain from them and so sacrificed their ears. Forever to stay deaf to the hardships of their brethren, and never able to hear their family again.
Remember the lamb, who heard the tales of the old faith, and would learn from it.
Shamura thinks no evil. Blinded by the logic and empathy for their family, they could not bear to banish their family and so sacrificed their brain. Forever to spend eternity reliving that day, never able to think for themselves again.
Remember the lamb, who thought about the result of the old faith, and would learn from it.
This comment is poetic and beautiful, thank you very much for posting this 💖 it sounds like a canon prayer for Cult of the Lamb
I was just gonna do Leshy and praise the video but I got too into it. Thank you for the comment and the wonderful video
Narinder is do no evil
I'm kind of worried about how shamura brain was exposed to the raw magic of the crown
I was asking the same too, but I thought not adding their crown at the end would make this animatic incomplete
Maybe thats why he has dementia because of the raw magic directly in to his exposed brain and well the lost of blood as well
I think that brief period (Along with having your brain exposed. That too.) was what turned Shamura into who they are today.
I adore the single frame of fear and genuine concern on Narinder’s face when he sees everyone wounded on the ground, with his expression only hardening once Shamura looks him in the eyes. They’re still his family, even after Narinder betrayed them
I'm glad you noticed it, this is was my intention in this animatic ❤❤ thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best CotL animation I've ever seen from the lore perspective. From Heket and Kallamar helping the young Leshy, to Shamura ignoring the pain to accuse Narinder of his doings while still crying because he's still their brother and they still care about him, but they can't let Narinder stay so they seal him away. The song fits as well, being about brothers being against each other.
Also the moment at 0:05 when Narinder looks at his arms covered in blood of his siblings as if he's asking himself "Wait!? WHAT HAVE I DONE!"
Thank you very much! You're too kind ❤❤ ❤ I love you noticed all those details I wanted to show with my shots, expressions and poses! And Ramses's lines are too in character indeed! Exactly! Narinder is asking himself that!
cue the same day a couple kajillion years in the future and now they're all being romanced by some random lamb
True!
The way they hold Leshy and where his eyes where and tried to comfort him because he is the youngest what’s so cute 😭
Five. Becomes four becomes three becomes two becomes one becomes nothing. This is my favourite line in the game.
Mine too ❤❤❤
Ooo this is so so so cool. It’s interesting to me how at 0:05 Narinder looks kind of - concerned and confused. I don’t really know the lore but it really adds a painful bite to the rest of the animation
I'm glad you noticed that, if you notice in the game Narinder shows a little bit of his soft side, and in this animatic is like "What have I done?!"
LESHY ABANDONED MY CULT AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET HIM BACK :(((((
Pin of help ;)
Mabey try revive him witht he ritual...? it will normally make you fight him, after you kill him in the fight IF he gets summoned on one of your crusades just revive him
Was he dissenting or did he absolve too much sin? If it’s sin. Kill him 3 times in a crusade and he will join back. If dissenting. You cant do anything then.
@@Goobers550 They said abandoned, not dissented - so I think it’s like when cult faith gets so low that followers start leaving. This happened to me in early game with that ‘don’t starve’ spider as well, I never got him back (dunno how) and I think you might just have to create a new save file.
@@TheEhloweryyou mean Webber? Yeah that must suck, now you can’t get the don’t starve trait :(
Dang! The way the four looked at him while being dragged, you could still see the saddness and betrayal on their faces. I loved how perfect the song is, that was a really awesome.
Thank you so much ❤ ❤❤ ❤
0:04 I love how at first Narinder seems shocked and remorseful of his actions, reaching out to see if Shamura is okay
0:11 Also Heket and Kallamar supporting Leshy despite them also being heavily injured is so cute and heartbreaking at the same time; Leshy is the youngest sibling, they probably have a bit of a soft spot for him, and Leshy looks so distraught that his eye is gone.
You caught it very well❤❤❤ thank you so much for your feedback! ❤
oh this is FANTASTIC. I really love all the expressions and everything, seriously!
Thank you very much!💖 I'm glad to hear this, it was difficult to draw Shamura because they have a "Predator-like" mouth shape and teeth, but it was fun to draw their fury, their feeling betrayed, their being strong for Kallamar, Heket and Leshy, and later their tears of crestfallen.
I hope next update has more of a focus on the bishops lore wise it felt like they were going somewhere with relics but then they kinda did nothing in sins they're really interesting and I hope we further see how the falling out between mariner and them happened
Maybe the will show them some memories or that the bishops will tell some stories before Narinder had betrayed them
I've heard that Leshy was the one that gave Baal and Aym to his big brother so he wouldn't be to lonely in his prison and that Shamura was the one that made the red crown because they knew Narinder felt less then them because he didn't had a crown. But we don't know a lot about how they all were as siblings (al we know is that Leshy is the youngest, Heket the only girl and second youngest, Narinder is the middle child, Kalemar the second oldest and Shamura the oldest and they uses they/them pronouns)
I do hope we get some more story about them
@@juliaboskamp9666 But it wasn't Shamura who gifted Baal and Aym to Narinder, if I remember well?
@@juliaboskamp9666 it was Shamura who gave Aym and Baal to Narinder. After you summoned them both in a ritual, you can ask Shamura i think, then they admit the fact they were the ones who gave the them both to Narinder, hoping he wouldn't be feeling lonely in his imprisonment. Shamur, out of all the siblings, he loves his brother Narinder the most.

I love the bishops and their family dynamic, and all of the complexity of their characters. They love each other and banished Narinder even though there was obviously a lot of feelings going on during that whole event. This song explain the bishops and Narinder story very good even if Leshy, Heket, Kalemar and Saumoura love there brother very much they all have there roles to play and Narinder's role is being the god of death. And even if they love there big/little brother he hurt them with wounds that will never heal. He has become to dangerous to be free and do as he please

This animatic is just flat out incredible. Not only is the art super fantastic, but it sure as heck effectively shows the utter brutality of the whole situation between Narinder and The Bishops- in both the realm of emotional and physical damage and turmoil. The details like Heket and Kallamar kneeling to protect Leshy, the youngest, while still cowering themselves...such good visual storytelling.
Not to mention the song choice fits so dang well!
Amazing job!
Thank you very much for this detailed feedback ❤ I'm glad you noticed this detail, and I hope Kallamar's hand on Heket shoulder is seen well, I wanted him to protect Leshy with her but comforting his little sister at the same time, giving her "I'm with you sis, now I protect you both" this is why I didn't made him keeping his mutilated ears
I can see those details with Kallamar! They're all really goods details!
I don't know if this was intentional, but I also noticed towards the beginning, before Shamura starts singing, that Narinder is looking upwards, like he's taking in his surroundings, and then has an almost frightened expression on his face, as if he's thinking, if only just for a moment,; "What have I done?"
There are many great details all around in this animatic!
@@sunshinewx5367 you guessed right! ;) thank you a lot! I like receiving really detailed feedbacks so I can learn more
In general, although the bishops in the game are shown to be cruel rulers who perform bloody rituals, due to the lack of information about them, it can be assumed that this was not always the case. We remember from the game that to enhance the crown’s abilities, sacrifices are needed; for example, the lamb does this to carry out the crusades more effectively. I doubt that before Narinder's betrayal, the bishops (who are the most powerful beings in their lands) had a reason to sacrifice their followers in such large numbers, unless they really are just maniacs.
Maybe, all this is needed to contain the powers of the red crown, heal their wounds and to bind their brother more tightly in the world of the dead?
This seems to be my strange theory, but perhaps it has already been invented for me...
I have replayed this over and over again i LOVEITTTT AAAAA ITS SO GOOD!!!! THE POSING THE FRAMING THE EVERYTHING ITS BEAUTIFUL
Thank you very much for this kind comment 💖💖💖 I really appreciate this and I'm really grateful!
I like the fact that Shamura never puts their crown back on because of their brain injury. But it can be inferred they grabbed it because when Narinder is falling, you can see his crown is on.
I saw the original idles with Shamura wearing their crown upon their exposed brain (the crown has put roots on it, really painful!). I let them wear their crown after they turn and when they start to break on tears
@@iasminprati fair point.
@iasminprati There's no nerve endings in the brain itself, fun fact, so Shamura is probably the only one who doesn't feel any pain when they wear the crown. They might not have even known they weren't wearing it until they saw it on the floor.
@@woooooooooooooooooooooooo really interesting! Thank you for this information 🙏💖
Wow!!! Great animatic!!!
After I continued the game and collected all the notes I realized that my animatic on this topic was not quite right, because as it turned out the bishops did not sacrifice body parts to imprison Narinder, but lost them in the battle with him. If I had known about it then, I wouldn't have drawn something like this, but I'm glad someone else did it, and it was done so well! Very cool!
Hi PieceofDog! Thank you very much ❤ I saw your animatic and it's really awesome! Don't worry if it's not "canon", because this is the first version the player believed after discovering all the truth by Shamura. And it's possibile the 4 Bishops told this version to their followers because remembering they were betrayed by their brother is too painful. Maybe Leshy, Heket and Kallamar cancelled Narinder from their life but Shamura has always a piece of heart for their brother, it's a bittersweet sensation because I felt betrayed by a friend times ago and I empathize so much with Shamura even if I'm angry.
I like your version! I'm going to assume that's exactly what happened :)
And Shamura took pity on Narinder, they even gifted him two kittens (Baal and Aym) so as not to make him feel too alone in his imprisonment, how is deep siblings' love

I showed some clips to my sister and convinced her to watch it with me. We were both absolutely floored. The movie was absolutely incredible. The animation, the storytelling, the characterization, the details. I could go on for hours about how much I love it. My sister is actually making art for it because she likes it that much, lol!
Anyways, I'm rambling. Just wanted to say, thank you, sincerely, for introducing my sister and I to that gem of a movie. We both love your art!
Reading this comment brought tears of joy to my eyes, I'm so grateful! I'm happy to reveal pearls of animation, which in my opinion should be protected by UNESCO. I'm curious to see your twin sister's art! The Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite films ever, I don't know how old you are, I saw it in the 2000s in elementary school (I'm 27). I'm sorry that Dreamworks seems to have forgotten about one of their best films ever.
This song>>>>>
At Narinder's count from 0:14 to 0:16 his appearance says “I’m guilty but I don’t admit it.” I am shocked how you were able to convey all the pain of this situation with your art. It warmed my heart how Hekat and Kalamar helped Leshiy get up and yes, poor Leshiy😥. And anyway, well-deserved views, so I wish you good luck 🙃
yes
True.
Thank you so much for this kind comment and feedback ❤ and you caught Narinder's thoughts very well, he knows he's guilty but he doesn't admit it, he's determinated to reach his goals but he knows he's hurting his own family. Leshy is the youngest and the less experienced, and he got one of the worst injuries, he's more vulnerable without his sight.
Yes, but in one conversation Leshy says “I smell you”, perhaps he began to develop other instincts and I have a theory that the bishops speak with telepathy because Hekat can speak to us although she does not have a throat and the very sight of the conversation suggests such thoughts, but on the oddities of Hekat this is not the end for those who made the game specifically #₽@*&€$£ because when we bring Hekat’s throats to Hekat, after that she can say that she ate these throats or what😮💨😠. and I’ll tell you about each bishop, so next up is Kalamar, Kalamar in one conversation said “I’m not guilty of imprisoning Narinder” or something like that and then he said “go kill Shamura” maybe they don’t like each other because Kalamar didn’t hate Narindera @@iasminprati
@@iasminpratiand about Shamura, he loved Narinder most of all, and the others probably not very much, even Leshy, it seems to me that Hekat Kalamar and Leshy began to love each other more and this influenced them greatly and this became the reason for Narinder’s betrayal, no one except Shamura loved him loved, that's why he punished them and Shamura because Shamura dissolved him and this is evident because Narinder knew that Shamura did not deserve this most of all and wanted to find out if everything was okay only from Shamura because there was no one who loved ours and she too and this is evident Shamura didn’t like them and for this, instead of helping Leshigo, he started a drama, and the rest, on the contrary, were all about Narinder Shamura and their relationship, they helped Leshigo
OMG! Now I'm realize that you also made that animatic. I love it so much!
Thank you a lot 💖❤️💕
@@iasminprati If there was be a cartoon about COTL I want this scene as prologue or story told by Haro, Narinder or one of the bishops.
@@WilczycaCzarownica it could be cool a trilogy movie too, focusing on the entire plot
@@WilczycaCzarownica if it will be a scene, maybe this scene will be discovered near the climax, so we can keep the surprise and shock effect
O boy i just realized it speak no evil hear no evil see no evil
I think the unique victim is the lamb
Indeed!
This is amazing bravo 👏
Thank you so much! ❤ ❤❤ ❤

Your welcome 👍
Ive rewatched this like 10 times and the little details just makes it better each time. I love this
Thank you so much ❤❤❤ I love when the details I add are noticed ❤❤❤
This goes so well
Thank you so much 💖🙏
I also like how Spider Lady is the only one who can do anything since frog can't speak. leshy is too busy not seeing anything and fish guy can't hear so he wouldn't know what is being said
Don't mind the fact the spider lady can't think
You didn't played Cult Of The Lamb, don't you?
@WilczycaCzarownica I have a bit
As you can tell I don't know any of the names except for the first one
I also just mainly know that they are based on the
See no evil
Speak no evil
Hear no evil
Think no evil
And the final one. Do no evil@@theplague5803
Their name is Shamura! (The spider)
how many times did I watch this? yes😊
I'm so grateful 💖💖🙏🙏🙏
The Details like Shamura’s Extra eyes also tearing up, and how Leshy is being held signifying how he is one of the weaker bishops - ITS SO FREAKING GOOD
YOU’RE GOING ON MY SPECIAL PLAYLIST 🎉
Thank you so much 💖💖💖 reading this makes me so happy!
This. Was. Amazing, the way they're all so expressive is awesome, this should've been an actual flashback in the game, wouldn't that be cool?
Thank you so much for the compliments 💖💖💖💖 if this should be an actual flashback, it's all the devs' choice, this is only my interpretation of the whole Narinder's betrayal
I checked in on your channel and I cannot stop watching this...
Thank you
I like this. Thank you
Thank you too for your feedback ❤
THUS SAID THE LOOOOOOREE
THE LORE
OMG IT'S REAL! I've tried to cut the song before of the start of Moses' line "Thus saith the Lord" with the choir
I have watched this 20 times and I’m not stopping
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
