Late Summer Den Haag 94. Small party in a house. Me & Curley had a competition. His tunes V my dancing. I was banjaxed by 6am so Curley won. (I gave it a damn good go, we had previous). We had a right good hug after & that was the last time I seen him & my last party in Netherlands. 2 years that shaped the course of my life. Memories that were never & will never be equalled. Respect.
He had his decks doctored to do +-16 instead of +-8... I (as a fairly rubbish) DJ played after him a couple of times, which even for a really good DJ at 5 am is a big ask... mostly he was really supportive, but one Sunday morning he laughed... It wasn't having it at all, i thought it was the drugs, but, it was his own doctored decks.... RIP... Not just a legend, but also a really nice guy...
More chance of threading in a pile of rocking horse shit than getting your hands on a copy of this beast, what a monster of a track,Great upload keessimpala65...many thanks pal.
@wobcor I have all originals all bought for normal retail prices in the 90's, so no need to buy represses. Maybe kibra hacha 001 if it get's repressed, but that's about it. Btw, I've been told my upload here sounds even better than the repress by someone that owns the represses. It appears a lot of the represses are warped and the tracks are all taken from played records without even decent mastering. People hear clicks and pops on a new record. Long live the represses!!
ik herinner me een feestje aan de reactorweg in Utrecht.... vaag parkje tussen de snelweg en een bedrijventerrein ofzo, Koninginnedag.. ergens 15 of 20 jaar terug... Legendarische Leidenaars, Maresingel Rules!!!
1993... Leiden, Curley meets Spiral Tribe meets Bas & Ratski, meets blauwe aanslag meets History... For one short time in history Leiden was the place... looking now you would never guess, but there was a time that the party ppl all took the night train to Leiden...

variable bit rate files (wav.) need to be converted to (constant rate) mp3 before uploading- otherwise you get these extended silences at the end... -__-

CURLEY A legend
Curley was a technician, not a DJ, he twisted the dancefloor every which way he wanted. if old school is a saying then yep he's old school
You are so right..... A live technician with few instruments..... but so much power... RIP.
