Probably Roland 909 + Boss heavy-metal. In the end it's about the person behind the knops, I think :) Curley is a legend, magic indeed. I still think about those years. He was great behind the decks too.

This is amazing. I had never even heard of Curley, and I'm hooked. The sounds he manages to produce are in a class of their own. Coincidentally, this stuff is great for doing math and programming. Really helps me concentrate. Loving it.
l un des ces best track sans problèmes,c est bien plus que de la techno curley,le classer dans un style est juste impossible,je dirai que c est de la music empli de magie,unique,d ailleurs ils disai qu il jouer de la music psychédélique magique et pas de la techno ,car les règles de techno il ne respecte pas!
c est un artiste ke je viens de découvrir et pourtant il nia pas de koi se vanter d etre un vieux con dans cet univers ou lon ne fait guere de vieux os moi j ecoute bcp plus fky et crystal mais javoue que Curley et juste magik il a un soupson des boucles étranges j aime bcp bref toi ki a lair de mieux connaitre si tu pouvais me donner le nom de quelques unes de ses bonnes galettes se serait avec plaisir
En fait plus je l'écoute plus je me rends compte à quel point il était libre. ultimate straightness est pour moi le plus trippant, la bassline y est pour beaucoup.

He also had decks doctored to do +/- 16 instead of +/- 8..... As I found out the hard way at a party in 'Slobsville' Haarlem......
