    Looks like a fun pedal. I love that it has tap tempo and that all controls are accessible without any hidden/alt functions.

    I pre-ordered mine. Can't wait! I already have their reverb pedals and love them, the LORE looks phenomenal! 😁

      Totally :) it’s perfect for those big washy reverse movements. And some pretty cool extras with shimmery effects and pitch shifting.

    When I saw "ambient creation machine" I had hopes that there might be a competitor for the superego+. But for what it is, it sounds great. I'm just not sure I need to try and explain to my wife why I need another delay and or verb pedal. I'll save that for another machine.

    • @PedalPoopers
      @PedalPoopers 2 роки тому +2

      The Lore IS indeed an ambient machine, where the SuperEgo+ is just a Synth "engine". Trying to pass the Lore off as something lesser just because it didn't have the sound you were looking for is odd but also reveals that you don't understand why it's called an ambient creation machine. Hint: The Superego+ only sends out 2 signals and can only track those signals with monophonic tendencies on one of those, while the Lore sends out 3 native signals. Good luck 🤞

    Always good here. Thank you. Going to try fable into lore and then a nice ping-pong delay, then some verb See what happens. Seems like a great combo. I love your videos by the way.

    It does the lush thing well, but I would like to see a demo of this “shimmer machine” where someone plays lots of short, staccato notes. Syncopated reverse delay with crazy pitch-shifted reverb. Put it through the paces.

      Thanks! I haven’t, although that would be a good comp. Different feature set but lots of similarities. Might have to pick up a MINIM again.

    This is so sick! At first i thought it was just reverse delays and reverbs.
    Speaking of awesome, what’s the story with that Morgan back there?

    Hey brotha, are the settings shown in the intro what is playing during it? And are those reverse trails i am hearing coming from the Lore or DL4?

    I'm seriously considering swapping my Fender Reflecting Pool for one of these. This looks much easier to use, and more reliable.

    • @SyntheticFuture

      It's a bit of an odd ball pedal really. I think it's a shame Walrus didn't allow us to select a algorithm per dsp using 2 program dials. Right now you are locked to the 5 pre-made effects. And you can't set the mix per dsp so you always get the dual effect. This makes it an effect that isn't terribly flexible
      That being said the 5 programs they put in are all pretty solid and the feedback loops allow you to get some cool sounds. It's not the most versatile effect though.
      Lore does play really well together with other delay and reverb effects. So that's really neat.
      Overall I like my Lore and am not planning to get rid of it any day soon. But it's important before buying one to realize that it does have a specific sound it does really well but that's about all it does.

      @@SyntheticFuture agree completely, but that's exactly why I switched out a reflecting pool for one of these.
      Originally I got sucked into super-versatile pedals that can do everything. The problem is, they can only do one thing at a time. So, unless you're willing to squat down and fiddle with your dials every few minutes, you're not going to get the full use of all those features; you're gonna have it dialed in to a favorite sound most of the time. If you really want versatility and more control, don't bother with pedals at all: get rackmount tools and/or a Kemper Profiler.
      That's why I'm getting away from do-everything pedals and going to pedals that do a few things very well, and ideally give me quick access to all the features: the more I can do with foot switches and switch knobs, the better.
      I replaced that reflecting pool with an array of pedals: the Lore, a Strymon El Capistan V2, a Neunaber Seraphim V2, an Earthquaker Afterneath V3 (which I may replace with a DBA Rooms), and I'm shopping for the perfect digital delay effect to finish it off.

    Does Walrus Audio make a bad pedal? The answer is no. The Slo reverb pedal if you don’t have it get it. It’s a must have for your pedal board.

  • @richnewman
    @richnewman 2 роки тому

    So can you turn down the parameters on one of the effects so that just the other is used? For instance, on Mode 1 can you turn down the knobs for the delay so that just the reverb is heard?

    • @patrickr6505
      @patrickr6505 Рік тому

      No..there is always some reverb or delay except for mode 5 which is Pitch Shifting ...

  • @theslaves

    Again Walrus Audio missing out on making a nice pedal a stunning one. Please Walrus Audio make it Stereo. The Slo and Slotva also sounded nice and I would have bought one in an instance if they were in Stereo. When a pedal is mono it has to be very special indeed like fairfield circuitry pedals or a demedash T-120 videotape echo, or a Earthquaker devices transmisser to name a few, but not this Lore pedal.
