Why is no one talking about the insane weight these are becoming. My 09 Renegade was 72hp and like 615lbs, my outlander is 89hp and like 825lbs and now this is 101hp and almost 1000lbs. Adding HP doesn't meant crap if you add over 100lbs with every increase.
@uAdrien power to weight assumes great traction. This isn't going to destroy a lighter vehicle. You have the same size tires (same grip) trying to accelerate, turn and stop 200+lbs more than the previous gen and 400lbs more than the Gen 1. No to mention the same size brakes, which they finally at least put a real brake pad on and not an organic pad that is gone in 300 miles.
My 07 Renegade 800 was 597lb, my 2022 xtp 1000 is 826, and my on order 2025 xtp 1000 is 975 lol. And I'm not so sure those numbers are exactly correct either.. coming from the brochures the same weights have shown for different trim levels. If anything these a-arms on the 2025s look more lightweight then the swing arm set up I don't know where all the weight is coming from either it's crazy. I already have Tusk wheels and other 28-in tires that are immediately replacing that overly orange xtp and will add 80 pounds to this machine😮
@@sylvainlaurence1554I had an 07 Renegade 800 for 12 years, i upgraded in 2022 to an Outlander xtp 1000. True story and that's dry with no gas. They usually put the lightest tires and wheels too. My tusk wheels are almost double the weight of the stock ones and the tires I upgraded to were also almost double the weight
Yes, the 'gaming' of weight specifications is VERY annoying. Both North American companies (Can Am and Polaris) 'game' it, while the Japanese companies seem to be honest. Honda list the weight with all fluids and a full tank of gas. Until I see someone successfully drive a quad with no oil, coolant, battery acid or gas, I call the Can Am/ Polaris/ Arctic Cat specs. to be B.S. (P.S. I've owned a 2009 Sportsman XP 850, a 2015 Sportsman XP 1000, and currently, a 2022 Sportsman XP 1000S. The 1000S weight is listed as just shy of 1000 pounds. I cringe to think what it REALLY is.
It's inexcusable that in a world where CF, Cat, Polaris and others can all put nice displays on their run of the mill trail machines, you can only get a nice display on a Can Am by buying the $23,000 loaded model.
Can you tell if the new one is faster than the old 1000R? After all, each of you has ridden the old ones. Does it accelerate better? Is the difference really noticeable?
I saw on another video that this one will do over 80. And my 2022 XTP 1000 does 78, I've seen 79 but that was probably with the wind. Also they are saying half second faster 0 to 60

Where did you see an $18,000 price, and for WHICH model? The XTP 1000 tested in this video cost $18,600 US, LAST YEAR. I'd be VERY surprised if the 2025 XTP 1000 costs the same, let alone less than last year.

I’m going to assume 0-40 it won’t be much if any faster than my current 1000R, but I’ll just about guarantee you it’s going to walk away from it after 40-50mph. It’ll most likely also have a 3-5 mph higher top speed around 82-85 mph .
Can Am makes a fast atv and they sound really good. From what I have seen is all that power wears and breaks everything down. I’m sure this will cost about 18k maybe more. I would save about 6k and just get a Yamaha or a Suzuki. At least they are reliable, maybe not as sexy but I like to ride.
You WISH it was 'only' $18,000. Last year's XTP 1000 was $18,600 (U.S.). No doubt this one will be more. Any machine's wear is accelerated if it's frequently raced or aggressively used. I have both a 2007 and 2011 Outlander. The 2011 has ~7,000 hard miles (little racing, but routinely used in very rocky terrain and with tracks in Winter). The two most significant repairs were replacing seals to prevent oil contaminating the CV belt & clutches, and the fuel tank (sprung a leak). Those two occurred after extensive riding in extremely rough terrain in Utah, including a ride from hell (bashed the bejesus out of my frame), that also forced me to tow a friend's quad 21 miles up/down mountains ranging to over 9,000' altitude.
@@BP-inthewoods The new machine will be more reliable, Can Am knows people will race them at Baja , GNCC and every race possible. We are race GNCC and the only way to win is be on a Can Am, the Hondas, Yamahas Suzuki and Polaris have tried but don’t hold up to the grueling race conditions of GNCC.
It would not be advised. But the throttle has 3 settings. The mildest setting limits both its acceleration as well as top speed. This reduces the risks. But even if the rider is one who never pushes their limit, why risk a $20,000+ quad by placing a beginner on it?

The Grizzly is a great machine. A friend owns a modified Griz, along with two 1000CC Outlanders. I also own two, much older 800 Outlanders (2007 Max, 2011 XTP) I have 7,000 miles on the XTP and a bit less on the 2007. They have been hard miles in very rocky terrain. Neither has ever failed. And neither has any of my friend's three quads. In addition to rough, rocky riding in mountainous terrain, we have tracks. For Winter use. He has them for his 3 quads, while I have tracks for my 2011 XTP, and a Polaris 1000S. (Can Am is better in snow) As much as I prefer the riding comfort of the Polaris, the Can Am quads have been more reliable. But even the Polaris, with its annoying glitches has always gotten me home.
