I actually loved this thing as well as most of the SMGs in this game. It was a fun way to mix it up because like you said, ARs were common.

the mac11 was actually my favourite smg in the game, enjoyed how quick you were with it, the handling, the iron sight. i used to mostly play hardcore (SnD) back then and the gun was really good for me.
You should try the L96A1 with variable zoom (I always used it on the second zoom), whatever secondary, and flackjacket, steady aim, tac mask. I used this class along with uav, counter uav, and blackbird for hundreds of hours and it’s easily my favorite setup from any cod. Love the videos!

The amount time I played this game on splitscreen in multiplayer is insane , sad they dont do this anymore I mean splitscreen that was awsome . If I am correct there was some super hard missions vs npc that was the best part
I used this gun A LOT in BO1, def one of my favorites!
If I recall correctly one of the issue with Black Ops SMGs was their damage was the same and basically most of them (except AK-74u and Skorpion) had the same stats (headshot multiplier, recoil pattern, etc.). The only difference was mags dimension and iron sight. Maybe it is not that way, but I have this memory about a video explaining weapons balance of original MW2 compared to Black Ops with data
You are correct and this is why bo1 was never my favorite cod. All of the weapons were extremely similar and there was not a lot of variety.

The mac11 was the first gun I used in bo1. I played with it in a local match with my friend who had the game. I picked it up bc it looked so different than the guns I was used to in mw2. What other game has you remembering little details like that❤️

I played blops the other day and I swear if I didn't run into every single closed door it would have been a miracle 😂😅. I tried bashing every door being so used to new COD games. Even though I've been playing cod since the beginning, I couldn't re-train my brain to stop running into closed doors and bouncing off😂

I felt that the MPL was good too but that may be Nostalgia. Definitely was an AR dominant game though.

MAC-11 wasn't too bad and was a decent starting SMG aside from the default MP5 which I prefer less due to high recoil despite doing well with the MP5 via spraying.
Try the MPL with rapid fire. It shreds.

Mac-11 was my brother’s main smg, he always was using it. For me was the Spectre but I wished I used more the Kiparis.
The Kiparis was a beast indeed.

Mac11 was decent but extended mags were almost necessary. Naturally if you're not close range then you'll be shooting them for a while 😅

Mac 11 wasn’t bad at all; would run it with silencer or dual wields when I was bored. Dual wield skorpion was just unstoppable on small maps.

I wonder if Call of Duty would even consider going back to the simplicity route. I feel like the newer CODs are overwhelming with all these attachments and oversaturated with way too many weapons.
I think blackbird is such a stupid killstreak especially for only 8 kills in a row. It's basically letting one team enjoy for a minute and another one just being here to let the other team have fun. I take counter spy plane, and dogs every game and I only use my counter planes for ennemy blackbird

That’s really awkward how you shoot it with 1 hand but when u sprint it switches to 2 hand. You’d think his arms would pump like holding a sidearm when he runs.
The running especially with larger guns is just so goofy looking and exaggerated. No one holding anything runs like that.
