Hi, this filled me with so much joy! Ruben, your abstract interpretation, the soft reds and warm tones, style of explanation! Thank you so much for sharing ☀️

A master can widen the spiritual and theoretical aspects of your work. From what I see from you is growth and development within your painting. If you plan to undertake a master one day, I believe the RCA will take you. Keep working hard.😄

Just wondering if you could share how your life experiences inspire your artistic choices. If there’s a reason you think you gravitate towards abstraction/colors/digital work/paint etc

There is so much referencing and borrowing here that i can only see it as a practice, a study. I know this sounds harsh, but i don't see your personality. And you need to realize that all of the painters you referenced to are very unique and personal, that's why they're good. It's like people copying Gerhard Richter, and Mark Rothko, sure, you can make something look like a work of theirs, but it will never be fulfilling to the artist and never as powerful as a work of art. In modern art it is hard to separate the tricksters and the true artists, 9 out of 10 are tricksters, and every single art lover/collector will at first fall for that. It takes a trained eye and intuition to figure out what the real thing is...
A while ago some guys found dumpsters full of art, all carefully packed and stacked in there. It ended up being from an artist named Francis Hines who had just passed away. Francis Hines had some success in the late 70s-80s and then just vanished of the map, but he kept making art, every day, when one was done he'd pack it up and store it, he wasn't interested in selling or showing off anymore, only in making. You should look into that story, it's not even about wether you like what he made or not, it's about that all of the works are undeniably by the same artist and unlike anything else.
I feel like you should "paint music" as a study to find your you. Put on a song you like, don't overthink it and just "paint" what you hear, it is done when you feel it's done.

Completely agree with you, made a video since talking about this work and how my practice became shallow and plastic - partly due to a weird obsession with social media. I think what you've said hits the nail on the head 👍🏻
