- Hey, welcome to my channel! First of all thanks for watching my Video i appreciate it a lot! This time we rebind the Attack on Titan Colossal Edition.

The Materials i used. But i have to note that i live in Germany so it might be hard or not even possible to get the same materials as i use. But this is a worldwide Hobby so every country should have Access to the basic materials.
Also i dont cooperate with any of the companies i bought all myself.

It turned out so nice! Green fits waaaaaay more than red. Sometimes, I think what it would be like to sit in on those meetings, publisher to author. How are some of the choices "approved" 😂

Yeah i ask myself that as well sometimes 😂 well the thing is we fans appreciate it more than the publishers do usually
Yeah doing Golden Edges takes practice and time, but with the right tools and practice you'll get it. When I looked up tutorials on it apparently the edges need to have almost a mirror finish. My friend your skills are definitely growing, looking forward to watching more of these.

Gilding is one of the most tedious processes of bookbinding, I salute you for even trying! Don't worry though, the final result looks fantastic. I suggest you watch Andrew from Ingenious Designs, he has a couple tricks for gilding that may help you. Just be aware, there are lots of sanding---granted he wanted a mirror finish, but maybe there's a compromise there.

Just a question though, are you using a Cricut or a Silhouette for the covers?
Yeahh i actually got the idea with the golden edges from him but was like sanding for a while and it didnt wanna get even 😂 and i use a silhouette potrait 3 actually saw it got reduced by a lot if ur interested in a cutter

Oh my goodness the cover looks great! (You inspired me to make my own tegami bachi cover, since the covers are removable I don’t have to worry about ruining the original covers because there japanese version)

Really nice! This edition desperately needed a rebinding, haha, it's so ugly normally imo.
Yeah i agree on that. They totally missed the opportunity to make an awesome deluxe edition. But aot has such a big fan base it will probably have even more editions coming out 😂
they really need to realse aot in deluxes like vinland, did they not learn the mistake from publishing aot like 4 different times. anyways great video and amazing work!!

Loving this so much! The dark green bookcloth. Any idea what material it's actually called? Have been curious as it doesn't look like usual cloth material and it also doesn't seem to be leather 🤔 Is it artificial leather?

Thank you so much. And i would love to see ur project! The cloth im using is called buckram its coated so it has a really good durability. I used on the desth note one artificial leather but the quality from this is way better in my opinion.

I use the programm which comes with the cutting mashine itself but yes i was planning on doing a new in-depth tutorial in the future uncut and with a lot of explaining once i have more time for ot
