      Isabelle jean-Louis then you should wait for when you are older... or trying to change their minds (which I know for sure is not easy). keep yourself with that mindset until you grow up and can buy your own food. all the luck to you!

      Renske050 wait how are you going to wash and dry them if he's grossed out?

    • @selenalamothe997
      @selenalamothe997 8 років тому +2

      Renske050 I washed mine while i showered, so no one knew what i was doing! you could try that :)

    • @selenalamothe997
      @selenalamothe997 8 років тому +1

      Renske050 i see what you mean but i still live with my parents since im 17 and they might force me to use regular pads unless i keep my cloth ones hidden for awhile. so me and my sister have to be super stealthy when we wash them so we wash them in the shower

    This is a great video!! I'm just now learning that's there's an alternative to plastic pads. I don't know why I didn't think of it when I'm a strong advocate for cloth diapers. Hahaha. Thank you!!

    Great tutorial, I'm using some of your tips to make my own. :)
    Just so you know, there's a type of fabric called zorb, which is super duper absorbent. It's used in reusable menstrual products and diapers. Not too expensive. If you're really into this it might be worth looking into.
    I love how open and positive you are about this. :)

    Do you sell the wet bags ? I love the little Pokémon fabric ! Where did you get it? You shouldn’t be shy or ashamed to speak of something natural. You are a living human being. A strong empowered woman who simply gets her period still. All women get their periods! At some point in their life! Thank you for speaking up! I love cloth pads. Working on my stash. Need to get a fabric like the one you have!

      Completely forgot I made this comment until I got a reply on it, Quick update for you all: After they were made, I gave them to her (I'm no sewer) and she smiled and said "I love the thought you put into these, Thank you!" ... They fell apart as she was holding them 😂 Later that day she thought me how to hand stich and I made a second set that actually stayed together this time. And I also learned that my girlfriend is a huge fan of Camo.

    This is a great idea and all looks good. However one part I am still lost before starting this project. Once the moisture is soaked in the terry or microfibre or zorb whatever, how will you make sure that will not get through the panty. Don't you insert any water resistant or waterproof fabric under the cloth to prevent soaking into panty. Let me know your thought how you handle the situation

    How would you properly clean them?

    • @angie.salama
      @angie.salama  7 років тому +8

      So I usually follow these steps:
      1. when I need to change a pad I rinse it with water in the bathroom and keep it in the wet bag with no blood. (i do that if I am out of my house usually)
      2. I go home and in a small pan with cold water treat spots and wash it with antibacterial detergent.
      3. I boil some water and put all of them in it before using them again to kill germs or anything like that.
      4. Keep them stored in a clean place for the next use.
      Hope that helped, and if you want I can make a video to show step by step what I do :)
