I dont recall as a child ever seeing the northern lights ever in England, in parts of Scotland. Yes, on the rare odd occasions but never in England, does any old fool like me feel the same?
The Sun goes through an 11 year cycle - I don’t have the smarts to know the full details - but essentially the solar cycle is at its peak this year and next year. According to experts this is the most activity they’ve seen in 23 years. I don’t recall the aurora being this active this far south before the year. Hope this helps 😊

Incorrect. Its due to earth's weakening magnetosphere as we're in the middle of a magnetic reversal. It's an extinction event
