    Ahh this is so fun! I love that you write volume numbers and it inspired me to start doing that, but I keep getting stuck when I have multiple inserts going at once (dailies vs weeklies and monthlies) or the size changes (regular to passport, etc). Do you only number one type or start over for different types or number them all in the same way?

    • @dawns4476
      @dawns4476 10 місяців тому +1

      Same! So far I have labeled the year and then number the volume with in just that year. I haven't counted in my weekly or (5 year).

      Yay thanks for watching, Lauren! I number all my daily inserts and travel inserts in this format! For weeklies and monthlies, I actually keep them bundled together and labeled just with their year and no volume number. As for Passport TN inserts, I stick to just labeling with their completion date since I have fewer completed inserts. Hope this helps!

    So many inspirational tips here! My problem is not finishing up my inserts/notebooks - so I have no idea what number to label my insert. I guess I can start was #1! I think numbering notebooks will help me to actually stick to finishing them :) Let’s hope! ✅

    I do almost the same thing in order! Except maybe in the first step I may not bother filling every empty spot. The confusion for me was when after an insert I changed to journal inside a notebook. Would I number the notebook as a continuation of the inserts numbering system? Or will they have their own numbering order? I ended up numbering each type with their own numbering system ! 😅😊

    Thanks Job, good recs. I memory keep weekly in a 003 TN notebook and journal separately in other TN size notebooks. I'm using up the 64gsm Goulet ones I got on sale last year and have also used the 013 insert (more pages). I'm a rather profuse journaler so for 2024 I'm looking at a couple offerings that have a blank higher page count 52gsm. I would like to have 2 or 3 journaling notebooks at the end of the year instead of 6 or 7 on my shelf! Always enjoy seeing your posts.

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  10 місяців тому +1

      That's amazing! I love that you're able to get through so many pages. I love my Danika58 inserts from Etsy because they offer TRP-S and other great paper stocks in TN-size inserts with page counts as high as 256 pages! I would check them out!

    I’d love to see all volumes 1-36 hanging out together in their completed glory! Would that be something you’d Instagram? Or are they in more permanent storage somewhere? That’s what I’m struggling with now that I’m getting a good few completed books, where do I put them all? 😂

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  10 місяців тому +1

      They're on my bookshelf in Canada! I will definitely share a photo or video here soon! I know some people keep them in storage bins but I live accessing them like they're a book on the shelf!

  • @BrittanyBWrites
    @BrittanyBWrites 10 місяців тому +1

    I do put the date of when I start the journal and when I finish it, and the only decoration (if the notebook has a decoration on it, I doni't do anything to it) is to put a printed photo of a character, like in my memory keeping journal is Ken Kaneki and in my reading journal it's a photo of Rhysand from ACOTAR, to remember which one it is, and at the end of the year or whenever I get done using it, I write the date so I can remember it and look back when I can. Really cool and very interesting video!!! ✅

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  10 місяців тому

      Ooooh! I love the idea of putting a representative character in the front of your notebook for memory-keeping! I love that idea. Thanks so much for watching!

    ✅ ❤, Thank you for sharing your process. This is a great idea for finishing up a journal. Now only if I could finish one 😅 ! I think it has to do with my urge to finish the page I am on before the next . Plus I think 😂 I have to have it in order. Do you have any recommendations on how to get past that? Thanks bunches Kat.

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  10 місяців тому

      Hi Kat! To get over that urge, I started journaling out of order in my journal. Sometimes I'm behind a few days but I'll work on the current date on the next free page. I know it'll be out of order but it releases the fear of having gaps or finishing previous pages before moving on!

  • @kristinjohnsen6242

    Okay - not that I need a new pen - but what is that tan/taupe pen you are using around 5:28, writing the date into your new insert??? It is so neutral and so pretty!!! Fun and helpful to watch this process - so far my inserts are few and not really finished, but I'm starting to use this size more so how to catalog is a great help!!!

    ✔️Hey Job I noticed you are doing a lot of lives with the plotter company are you working for them or a company that sells them? I live in Australia and have been soooooo keen to start on a plotter journey but there are so many barriers we cannot get the USA store or the Japan store to sell to us direct so I have had to purchase them and send them to my son in the US and then wait for them to be sent to me in Australia so far I have been waiting since July so I do hope that Plotter will let orders come to Australia. I love your plotter set ups and found a 5 ring mini on destash and looking for to using that for a wallet. any how sending love from OZ to you ❤

    Crazy how it just occurred to me that maybe I should use TN inserts in my future daily journals. I love that there aren't a lot of pages. I'm currently using a 300+ page journal, and it's so hard to write on the left pages now because it's so bulky! 😆

      Yesssss! It's so nice to use the thinner inserts for a daily insert so it's not as cumbersome to carry around!

    ✅ Nice one Job! It’s always useful to see how others archive their finished journals. I am a fan of the binders as I like to decorate the covers too and I find that stops the covers getting roughed up when taking them off the shelf to refer to. It also allows me to group by year. However, I don’t get through as many inserts as you. I have heaps of those pockets and I must get over my FSPR (fear of sticker placement regret) and start using them too. 😅💕Louise
